I love these shoes! They’re comfortable and stylish. I have been looking for a pair of platform Mary Jane’s for a long time. I just came across these when my sister wanted to stop by in store. They do run large. I’m usually a size 7 and it was roomy. I tried to size down, but it was too tight (especially since the don’t carry half sizes). The employee gave me a pair of insoles, and it worked great. The only downside of the shoes is that they are heavy. If you plan on doing a lot of walking, these aren’t the shoes to use. I wore these while shopping, and after about 1.5 hours, my feet were aching.

I love these so much! The heel looks bigger in the picture. The shoe had just the right amount of platform to make is comfortable. That being said, there is somthing wrong with the size. I bought my first Docs in 1989, I have over 20 pair including 5 pairs of mary janes. All of they been English 7, US 9, that is until now. I went to the store and tried on the 9s and they were just too big. In the past I have tried US8, but they are just too small with no room in the toe. This time the US 8 felt like so of my other Docs. So buy them a size smaller and you rip be so glad you did!I LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!!

I already have a pair of Chesney flare heeled boots ( my first ever docs!) I have arthritis in ankles and must have a heel and ankle support - I always wanted docs but flat is no use. Having worn the boots all winter - so comfortable from day one, I was glad to see a shoe with same heel. These will be fabulous for warmer days - the heel and platform make me feel tall and elegant and the shoe design is classy and not too cutesy! The fit is large - I would normally be a 61/2 to 7 - I ordered a six and they are just right with socks. The leather is not too tough but did need a little breaking in - overall I’m delighted and so glad to have found shoes which I can wear comfortably with the arthritis and still look stylish . I didn’t listen to the reviews that said these ran big. They’re my 5th pair of Docs, my 2nd high heeled pair, and the first that really feels like the wrong size. Sizing down would have been a 5 for me which was out of stock, so I went with the 6, my regular size, which all my other Docs are…and there’s enough space at the heel that I can put my finger in the gap.I ordered 5 different insole inserts while finding the perfect fit - wouldn’t you know it’d be the Doc Martens ones? The heel grips paired with insoles and wearing thick socks allows me to wear these beauties.The soles are heavy as heck - probably a good 1-2lbs and took some getting used to, but they’re fairly comfortable now. My heels regularly feel like they want to pop out. I can manage but it is annoying.
It is hard to believe just how immediately comfortable these shoes are. With the looks of a shoe, they fit and feel as comfortable as a boot . With a wide foot and a high instep, I was concerned that the straps would be too tight. No problem at all. The bounce of the heel and soul make walking easy and, for a high heel, do not feel too high (I usually wear flats). I bought them for a ‘dressier’ look, but they look great with jeans as well as skirts and dresses. I thoroughly recommend them.
I saw these shoes and knew that I had to buy a pair and I’m so glad I did. They look amazing and the detailing such as the buckles and the super chunky heel just make them stand out for all the right reasons. They are so different from a regular pair of Dr Martens but still so unmistakably Docs with the iconic yellow stitching and loop. As people have previously commented, they do run a little large but with the double strap this isn’t a problem. I’ve only worn them for short periods so far but they are already so comfy that I can tell they aren’t going to need much breaking in. The only downside is that to stop my daughter from constantly borrowing them, I’ve had to buy her a pair too!!
These shoes are everything I hoped for. They are so cute and go with everything and they get tons of compliments. I have small narrow feet with high arches and I normally wear a size 7 (9 1/4 inch) I had to size down 2 sizes for these shoes. The 6 (9.5 inch foot bed) was still huge and gapped at the front and at the back. I’d be wearing thin socks so I ordered the 5 (9.2 inch foot bed) and they fit perfect over my foot and the foot bed fits just right, thankfully, because I love the style of them. If I went with a boot I’d try the 6 again since I’d wear thick socks in a boot. Definitely use the foot bed measurement when ordering these and size down if you don’t have wide feet. I hope this helps anyone else curious about the sizing of Docs.
Absolutely adorable. The buckle is a bit hard to pull through but gets better with use. They’re very heavy specifically the block back heel portion. They’re very comfortable for heels and I get comments from strangers asking where I got them a lot. You HAVE to size down a lot. For normal Docs I can fit a size 6 or 7 since I’m a 6.5 (prefer a 6 on Docs) but on these shoes I had to go down to a size 5. Not sure what’s with the off sizing but size a whole size down I promise. I tried a 6 on in store and there was no way I could wear them so I tried the 5 on and they’re perfect with room for socks.
Surprisingly comfortable.They run small, size down. I'm usually a 7, went with 6 1/2 as plan to wear socks - if I'd be mostly wearing tights I'd have gotten 6, so if your buying online definitely order two sizes to check fit.The buckle straps are quite short, bit of a struggle getting them on (wide feet) but after they've warmed up I was able to go one notch down.Walked around London for 6 hours on first wear and had zero issues. The little notch at the front made sure nothing pinched or rubbed, really well designed and executed.
I loved them, so girly. But, the heel was to tall for me, I felt like a tree ready to fall. The high heel felt …high. As they are. I felt like an Amazon girl in them. I’m about 6 feet on flat foot already. If I were short, I would suffer through the pain of breaking them in. Double the size of my platforms. They were uncomfortable and will take a bit of breaking in. As for the size, get your normal doc Martin size. I ALWAYS get a 9 women shoe. If you never have worn Dr NRtin size down . I wear a 9.5-10 I bought a 8: they always fit perfect.If these came shorter, they would be mine. So girly🫦
