Dr Bronner's Citrus Pure-Castile Soap Liquid 473 ml

This is an icy peppermint! It feels and smells cool and refreshing. It definitely cleans. Maybe a little too well. This tends to dry my skin out if I don't followup with a healthy dose of lotion or moisturizer, but anything that could possibly feel grimy - oil, dirt, a stressful day - it washes that with a peppermint so cool, you almost feel a temperature drop. I've tried both the liquid and bar soap version of this. I was disappointed by the bar soap as the smell was great until you actually use it. The liquid keeps the mintiness throughout use. I'd describe it as a Trident type peppermint. Almost sweet mint, but cooling.

Ok I literally love this soap so much. It thoroughly cleanses my skin, and when I heard it can be used as a face cleanser, I tried that too, and boy did it clear my acne! Literally better than any other face cleanser ever, and this isn’t even specifically formulated for the face, but its safe and good to use on it. If you have acne, use this as your face cleanser, I swear I saw results after one day of using this on my face. However, dilute it with water on your face, because it can be a bit drying and it may sting and burn your face if you use too much, but if you only use a pea size amount you’ll be fine. And moisturize too! This can even be used as a toothpaste! I literally love Dr. bronners Soooo much! Run, don’t walk and get it now! Especially if you have acne!

This bottle that I've pictured is actually from when I first moved out three years ago! ✨Improving Value for Money✨ I suggest buying the largest product you can find, because the unit price per milliliter is much less expensive! The largest product that I can find is that 32 oz product, and that's the one that I purchased 3 years ago that is still lasting me to this day in September 2022! I even have about 1/8 of the bottle remaining. A small amount goes a very long way, and this lathers like crazy. I mainly use this soap for hand washing clothes and as my body wash. ✨Skin and Body Care✨ I believe that the surfactants are a bit too harsh for the face, so I avoid using it on my face except for removing makeup when needed. I will only use this product to remove makeup when I'm wearing a lot of makeup and I can't get it off with a normal cleanser because this soap is so dang strong! So basically, this is a great makeup remover but I wouldn't recommend using it as a daily face cleanser because it is stripping. Scents are very personal, but I am biased towards lavender. Great Product

I really like this scent! It reminds me of the original Jergens Cherry Almond scented lotion. My Grandmama used Jergens when it was in the glass bottle. I first tried Dr Bronners soap in the peppermint & enjoy the brisk scent. It'll wake you up for sure! The Almond is not as strong though, & I use it on my entire body. It's really effective when I wash all of the products I've been using on my hair leaving it clean, but not stripped, my natural curls soft & bouncy. It leaves my hands soft too. I keep it on my bathroom counter & diluted it in an empty medicine bottle in the shower. I love this stuff!🥰💞

Love love love multi use cleaner for everything!!

Wow!! The uses for this product are unbelievable! The list is endless! Plus, it has so many options listed already on the bottle not to mention the website that has even more!! It’s shocking. My only complaint is that my bottle/container was damaged when I received it. The cap detached immediately from the lid and then the tiny lip that it pours out of also came off. It was very odd. Never had this issue before. Walmart took care of this situation right away in a satisfactory manner. So I really have no complaints besides having to get another.

Lovely feminine scent

I was scared buying this scent because I heard it smelled medicinal and was so strong that it was sickening. I took the plunge and tried it myself, and found out it has such a lovely aromatic scent. I truly believe washing my face with this helped me get over my cold because it cleared my sinuses gently. Showering with it is even more amazing because it fills the bathroom up with the floral scent. If I didn't have a high efficiency washing machine I would use it to wash clothes too, since it has such a great smell. As for the soap itself, I love Dr Bronner's soaps! They're natural, they don't leave a film on you, and they're like aromatherapy.

My go to soap

This soap goes a long way if used correctly. I use this almond, peppermint, and the baby for so much. Rose & almond mixed smells so good. Dr. Bronner is my shower soap, I dilute & use a foaming dispenser for hand soap, excellent degreaser. I also use the toothpaste and Sal Suds which I wish Target sold. Use Sal Suds to make dish soap, car wash, cleaning and sometimes laundry. I use the toothpaste because most toothpaste is highly toxic to pets because of xylitol. My cats are always around my sink. I’m afraid I’ll leave a little in the sink if I use another brand. Just wish Target would sell more Dr Bronner products.

Safe and gentle for the whole family!!

I absolutely love Dr. Bronners liquid soaps, they have a variety of scents but, so far this citrus one is my favorite. These clean so well without leaving any residue behind, dishes are squeaky clean. These all natural sops are also gentle on your hands. These are concentrated so you can make a lot of bottles of hand soap, dish soap, a spray bottle for your counter tops and you can even make a nice shower gel/soap. They are safe and gentle to clean you from head to toe or your animals. I have even made a hot soapy solution with a little vinegar to clean my floors. This stuff is amazing and versatile. Walmart has these at great prices too!!

Subtle, authentic, and non-artificial rose scent.

I’ve been using Dr. Bronner’s products for years and have never turned away. This specific rose-scented castile soap has the same high-quality efficiency as all other DB products I’ve used, but with a subtle yet authentic rose scent that lets you know it’s rose without shoving it up your nostrils (unlike most artificial rose-scented products). And for that, I appreciate this even more. I’ve used it (diluted) in laundry but mainly use it in a 1:5 water ratio as foaming hand soap to cut back on its strength (not a complaint, just a necessary adjustment for daily use). I love how the product is potent in strength but subtle in smell; a great balance for my personal product preferences.

Waxy residue

The fragrance in storebought shampoos and soaps makes my eczema worse. I couldn't find any shampoos without fragrance, so I tried using Dr Bronner's Castile soap as shampoo. What a nightmare. My hair was so coated in waxy gunk that it took about 36 hours to sort of dry, though still covered in gunk that hadn't rinsed out. All the oils got trapped in my scalp, and my hair got really disgusting after about four days (normally I wash my hair once a week). So I washed my hair with free and clear dish soap, and a gallon container of white vinegar that I took into the shower. Then my hair was clean. I also tried to use Dr Bronmer's as hand soap, but the pump kept clogging up. Finally, I dumped that diluted soap down the drain, and filled my handsoap container with free and clear dishsoap. And today, I used Dr Bronner's liquid Castile sugar soap to wash my underarms, and found myself having to apply hydrocortisone cream because of the irritation. I think it's the glycerine. The cheap lavender non-glycerine bar soap that most stores carry does not irritate my skin. I give Dr Bronner's three stars, for trying to make a difference with beautiful natural products. But I just cannot use glycerin products for any kind of cleaning. I don't understand why my experience is so different from all the other people who wrote reviews here.
