This the second one of these I bought. The first one is 6 years old and the batteries are getting a little slow. The vacuum is lightweight and east to maneuver. You turn the handle to the right and the head angles to the right, turn left and the head turns left. You can run it with brushes on or off. Works well on wood and tile. Picks up everything off the carpet. Don't get rid of your big vac but for small jobs this is the way to go. You lay the handle down close to the floor and the head will go under just about anything. Three blue LED's tell you how the charge is holding up and go out when it is fully charged. Highly recommended!

Although I like the Swerve Pet Cordless Vacuum I do not like the way you have to connect the recharging cord to the vacuum. It is cumbersome...Also, it would have been really great to have the ability to have the charging system in a hanging hook that can be attached to a wall. That is what I thought it would have, but I did not look into that enough, I do not like the hand vacuum that came in the bundle, mainly because of that ridiculously small suction nozzle, but it too has the same type of cord plug in which is outdated and cumbersome. The hand vac has a slide on off switch which is hard to move, I have to use my nail to turn it on. I really was going to return them, but I have been busy and I do blame myself for not checking these items out (finding a store ... MoreAlthough I like the Swerve Pet Cordless Vacuum I do not like the way you have to connect the recharging cord to the vacuum. This is the best lightweight cordless vac I've found. Stick vac tubes tend to clog if picking up a lot of pet hair, but this makes quick work of it. A single charge is enough to do my entire first floor. I like that all the filter parts are washable so I can keep the unit clean between uses. It's not great for under furniture, but then, most vacs aren't. I'm a bit concerned about whether I can get replacements for the foam piece. But overall, I love this little vac.

I have owned several stick vacuum cleaners over the course of my life and they have always done a decent enough job of cleaning hardwood floors but have never been particularly good at cleaning carpets and rugs. I found that the Power Swerve does a great job on both types of surfaces. I got as much up off of the carpet using this easy to use vacuum as I did with my robotic vacuum cleaner.Let me start at the beginning and talk about assembling the vacuum. It was relatively simple to put together as you only had to put the the brush part on and connect the two halves of the stick portion. It was a bit difficult to connect it because you really had to push it but once it is together, you aren't going to take it apart so it's no big deal. It was a bit difficult to connect it because you really had to push it but once it is together, you aren't going to take it apart so it's no big deal. It was a bit flimsy feeling when I was pushing it together and I was worried that it was going to break but it held up much better than I thought. I charged it for several hours and really appreciate that it will stand on its own while charging. I have had other stick vacs that I have to lay down in order to charge and store and that is very annoying and in the way. This one will stand on its own. It does not have a charging base so you will have to plug it into the wall outlet to charge but it has a long charging cord so charging is a breeze. A charge also lasts a long time. I then cleaned the large area rug in my living room and was amazed at how much it got up! I watched with delight as it got up pet hair, dirt and other debris with no effort. It was extremely easy to push and very, very light. The fact that it does not have a cord just makes it even easier to clean your entire home.I cleaned the hardwood floors in my home and it cleaned those with ease. I also cleaned plush carpet and it had no problems with it either. It is light and easy to move underneath tight spaces like the bed. I do wish that it had a light on it in order to help you see what you are cleaning up better but you can't have everything. My only real complaint with the vacuum is the fact that it is hard to remove the dust bin. I found myself struggling with it each time and instead of changing it after every use, I would wait for the bin to fill up before I emptied it. I just wish that it was easier to empty the bin and it would be the perfect stick vacuum. I highly recommend this product to anyone with any types of floors and especially those that have pets that like to leave their hair lying around everywhere. It does an excellent job of cleaning and you simply cannot go wrong with the lightness and portability of the vacuum.
This vacuum is so easy to use and very light weight! I keep it in a corner with the charger on and when I need a quickie vacuum, it's ready for me. Picks up dirt very well on carpet, manufactured wood and grouted tile. It swivels around things and goes under tables and chairs easily. One button makes an easy transition from carpet to hard flooring. It has made my daily life quite a bit easier. One thing that I would like to suggest is to give color options.
Today I received the Dirt Devil Power Swerve Pet 16V Lithium-Ion Cordless Stick Vacuum I ordered. First impression was it looked and felt awesome! I like the weight, yet lightness of the machine. My old vac was a very weightless, cheap, and useless piece of thing. Also, I must say I have a little short haired rat terrier. After charging the DD fully, I tried it for the first time on my tile floor. I was impressed at first. It was doing an amazing job with or without the brush roller working. I have a 3'x5' rug in my bedroom that had not been vacuumed for a while. As I said my other vac was useless. So, at first the DD was sucking up the old ground in dog hair.....and then it clogged and started spitting the hair back out. The dirt cup wasn't even a quarter full. So, at first the DD was sucking up the old ground in dog hair.....and then it clogged and started spitting the hair back out. The dirt cup wasn't even a quarter full. I took the dirt cup off and saw wads of pet hair popping out wherever possible. After cleaning out the little inserts and the edges of the filter, I realized the intake tube in the machine was also severely clogged. I pulled out as much as possible. I suggest to DD to make that passage a bit wider. I also suggest including a flexible cleaner wand. Guess what worked....the clogged hair drain cleaner wand. After clearing the passage, the machine was as good as new. It now had the strength to clean the rug. I am not going to fault the machine too much at this point because that rug ultimately had a lot of pet hair on it to begin with. If I have any more problems I will update.
Nice little quick vac. I like the fact it is compact, and has an internal battery so I can just plug the vac in to charge and not have to remove a battery to sit in a charger on the counter. We got it as a supplement to our main vacuum, since we have kids we are always cleaning up. On a charge, it seems to run for about 20 minutes. Pretty light, easy to swivel and navigate around stuff, seems pretty peppy. You can turn off the beater bar, or leave it on, and when on, it pulls like a self propelled mower. The only issue I had with mine, is, it comes in 3 parts. The top two parts are connected by a ribbon cable, and were the top two parts connect, mine was difficult to snap together, and pinched the cable a couple times. I was worried I was going to break it, thank goodness I didn't. Otherwise a really nice, small quick vacuum for light duty. **Update. It did work really well, for almost a year. Despite having the name "PET" in it, the brush regularly gets wrapped up in the beater bar, eventually blocking airflow for pick up, and stalling the brush movement. There is a little plastic bushing between the beater bar and drive mechanism, that ground down, and no longer provides drive to the beater bar, only making a loud noise. I have not been able to find a replacement beater bar anywhere, and Dirt Devil said they are back order, so I am giving up repairing it, and just buying a new, different brand.
I've had this little vacuum for 5 years! The roller brush broke last week, just stopped spinning. I learned tonight there's no fixing it. I'm so sad! I used it in a 2 story apartment half carpet, half nanolium, & even a little brick floor and it was perfect! Now I have a 2 story home that's all hardwood floors and rugs. Its done wonderfully with my 2 little dogs that shed way too much!I'm definitely buying another one TONIGHT!
I have been using this for a little over a month. So far the only things I would change are putting a light in the front so I could see the floor better and taking it apart to clean the filter and dirt cup were a little harder than I liked, make that easier. My house is small, only 1100 square feet, so I am not cleaning a lot of space but the charge holds for me to get it all vacuumed in under 15 minutes. I am Very Pleased with how well it cleans up. I do have to go over a few times in some areas but that is not a big deal for me. It gets in the bathroom spaces well too. Overall I like it better than I thought I would and I am not an easy person to please. 4 stars because of not having a light and the dirt cup. Use throughout house (2400 sq ft), hardwood and tile, every couple of days, three cats, 2 with long hair and 2 adults. Great vacuum, really good power, can do the entire house when charged. Needed new adaptor/charger after using for 2+ years, a good period, in my opinion. I also need to replace the brush but it appears it is not a replaceable item! I would even replace the whole Spin3Pro Brush unit but I can't find that item to purchase either. The side clips broke so I'm now using duct tape to keep top and bottom together, which works just fine! I guess you have to buy a new vacuum if these items wear out - seems unreasonable to me. But, I still think it is a great stick vacuum and would recommend.
