Davines Dede Shampoo 250 ml

For the price, I just don't understand the hype. This product did not de-grease my hair; it did not leave it smooth or manageable, or shiny. If anything, it left my hair tangled and frizzy. I honestly obtained the same or better results with shampoos purchased from a drugstore. I will not re-purchase this. The smell wasn't great either. Highly unimpressed.

I LOVEEEEE my Davines products!! I currently live in Italy and so I was introduced to it by a local hair salon. I will never go back to anything else. My hair is very fine and lacks volume/softness sometimes. This product combats each of these problems for me. I’m left with incredible smooth, volume hair. It also smells AMAZING!! Like essential oils. I don’t have to wash my hair but every three days because these products keep my oil under control. Get these products!!

This shampoo was recommended to me by my stylist because I have fine but pretty dense hair that gets oily but is also damaged from heat and colour. This shampoo is delicate enough to leave my colour in tact but helps get rid of product and oil build up, making my scalp feel clean and balanced between washes. I am also just so obsessed with the scent!

Edit: I've found pairing Dede with something heavier like LOVE or Nounou conditioner works much better! I’m giving it four stars because if I don’t use it with a heavy conditioner, it’s a frizzy/tangled mess. Hair Type: Virgin Fine strands, but a lot Wavy blend of 2A-2C Shoulder length Normal porosity? I have traits from both low/high, so I’m not sure anymore. Hair Concerns: Oily scalp w/dry ends Frizz - Oh, the frizz! Hates coconut oil and protein - my hair gets very brittle and destroyed I saw so many great recommendations on the r/haircarescience subreddit so I decided to purchase a small bottle of it. It definitely strips the oils from your scalp along with the rest of your hair. I can see this being a good shampoo for fine and straight hair, but definitely not for someone with wavy or curly hair as it is too drying. The smell is the basic floral flower scent Davines seems to like so much for some reason. I usually use a pump of NYMN green bottle shampoo to do a first cleanse to help prep my scalp for an actual shampoo since I never get any lather when I use Davines on my scalp first. I also don’t want to waste product by using Davines twice to shampoo my hair because it’s so expensive. So I use a cheap sulfate-free option first which then helps my second shampoo with Davines more effective since it lathers up a lot more and I can distribute it around my scalp easier. I used this with the Oi conditioner and it definitely wasn’t enough. I need to pair this with a heavier conditioner and even spread the conditioner to my roots a bit because of how frizzy it makes things. This isn’t a daily shampoo that I would consider using, despite it being a gentle daily shampoo. I typically get to around day three before needing some dry shampoo, but that’s how it is with any of the Davines shampoos I’ve tried out so far so it’s nothing magical or anything.

I've used this shampoo for the past 5 months and I absolutely love the smell. It has a light scent and my hair never feels heavy after it dries. I have a problem with getting really oily with other shampoos and conditioner but this brand is amazing. I can wait a day longer between washes since my hair doesn't get the gross oily look as fast. I'm going to try out the nounou since I've moved to a drier climate and needs a bit more hydration than before. I'm a davines convert and use their oi oil as well on my ends after my hair dries. Really amazing products.

This is a perfect everyday shampoo for my husband to my toddler. Everyone in the house uses it and loves it. It has a nice clean scent and great ingredients I feel safe using on my toddler.

Really really delicate shampoo to use if you have kids / are an everyday shampooer. I will say this is a very liquidy shampoo and a little goes a long way- it’s just hard to get used to how much may come out of the container because again it is super liquidy. I love the scent and how soft it is on the hair, if you are someone who wants really luscious hair but has to shampoo frequently this shampoo will not leave your hair dry or feeling stripped of all its natural oils like many drug store options!!! Again, just be aware that they product easily comes out so keep your eye on it so you don’t over pour.

Really love using this shampoo! I recently got my hair done and my stylist recommended this to me. It is a gentle cleansing shampoo to help get rid of build up and cleanse your scalp! I’ve been using it for about a week now and am really enjoying it! It has not weighted down my hair and has given off a great shine! It has a nice subtle smell! I will continue to use this!

This isn’t a bad every day shampoo, but I don’t really feel like there’s anything special about it. The packaging is a bit boring. The scent is light and it lathered nicely. It didn’t weigh down or dry out my hair. This shampoo retails at $25 for 8.45oz at Walmart and I honestly wouldn’t purchase it. I received it in a Birchbox and it was nice to try out, but I definitely have used other shampoos that I absolutely love.

Love this shampoo. I've tried many of the other Davines shampoos but this is the best for my hair (as my hairdresser said). My hair is fine, shoulder length and at the moment due to lockdown the blonde foils have grown out a few inches. This smells great cleanses my hair really well without drying it out or irritating my scalp and leaves my hair fresh and clean for 2-3 days. Recommended!
