Dali SUB E-12 FThe introduction of the DALI SUB E-12 F marks a new phase in what is possible at this level of subwoofers. The SUB E-12 F features a 12” woofer capable of moving plenty of air with power and precision. The cone is made of pure aluminium for maximum stiffness and a pleasing appearance. In addition, the heavy magnet system houses an impressive four-layer long-stroke voice coil. All in all, the powerful capabilities of this “motor system” ensure that the woofer always follows the signal given off by the amplifier! The heart of this subwoofer is the 170 Watts RMS Class D amplifier with a highly linear response. Embracing a classic DALI trademark, it simply acts as a total bass extension of your AV system. The result is a powerful, well-balanced bass reproduction and a seamless integration with your speakers. And then the built-in limiter also helps to protect your subwoofer from overload. On the back of the SUB E-12 F you will find buttons for volume, phase and crossover frequency, and the on/off button works automatically via signal detection. Due to its possibility to choose between an LFE or LINE input, this subwoofer can easily be combined with any AV set. The colors Satin White and Satin Black match perfectly with the 'look and feel' of the OBERON and OPTICON MK2 series. Satin White comes with a grille in Mountain Grey. Satin Black comes with a Shadow Black grille.

A quality sub-woofer

The Dali E12F is a huge improvement on the woolly boom of my previous sub-woofer. Low frequencies are well defined and the power impressive. I have the volume low otherwise the plaster mouldings would shake loose from my ceiling. The unit’s response is subtle and impressive. I often listen to Radio 4 and can forget that the sub-woofer is turned on. A pumping musical interlude is a sudden reminder that the Dali E12F is sitting there and ready to deliver. I splashed out on this model after reading the many positive customer reviews. I am not disappointed. This is a quality sub-woofer that has taken my Project deck and Arcam amp to a new level.

I've been running this subwoofer for about 12 months, It sounds as good as a subwoofer twice the money. Awsome for music ,fast responce and very deep base when it's required. This subwoofer really shines when watching movies, intergrats with the rest of your surround sound for a room filling balanced base. One of these make my windows rattle and you can feel the explosions and thumps in your chest. I'm in the process of buying a second one because you can't beat 2 subwoofers for the perfect low deep sounds. The subwoofer at this price it allows me to add a second one without breaking the bank.

Amazing sub, worth the price

I bought this as an upgrade from my Q Acoustics 3070S - The quality of the DALI is amazing. Listening to music and watching movies is a different experience. At first I was having issues and the blokes at London Bridge were able to help sort the issue - make sure you have the right cross over settings set up between the Sub and Amp.Overall very happy with the purchase

Beatiful design, good for mid-sized room

This sub looks amazing, I would love to keep the grille off but it would attract children's attention so it has to stay. It is held by magnets, excellent idea - no ugly holes in sub. Floor spikes for audiophiles are included in the box as well as rubber mats - these are poor quality and won't stay on for long. Unfortunately this sub was not efficient in my room which is 7.5m x 3.5m, tried different locations but it was just giving up on low frequencies - 170W was clearly not enough.Purchased at RS Solihull, staff was very proffesional and friendly - thank you Martin and Matt. Test room available with comfy sofa. As mentioned the sub didn't work well with my setup but they allowed me to replace it for bigger without charging restocking fee which is very nice! Best subwoofer purchase I’ve ever made
30 June 2020

I was in the market for a new sub as my old Harman Kardon TS11 had finally given up. I called my local branch (Watford) and spoke to JP explaining my criteria for a new sub. He suggested several options to choose from but as the sub will be on show, I wanted it to look the part, blend in with existing furnishings but most importantly, perform well. I opted for the Dali E12F as I thought the model below wouldn’t have the power, well I was wrong, the model below this would most certainly have sufficed but this E12F sub is foreground, beautiful and sounds brilliant with loads of unused power available when needed. The LFE coming through from the Denon amp make the room rumble, I absolutely love it. Thank you JP @ Watford for the advice in choosing this one.

Different level in quality.

I tried two other subs, before this one. Dali 9, which good but didn't quite provide enough depth, then went to the svs pb1000 which didn't impress, seemed to be very low volume for such large amplifier, plus physical size made it difficult to fit into setup. The Dali 12 is very good only set at a quarter on the volume dial and is ample and sound much more puncher than svs. Excellent customer service from Richer sounds

Fantastic Experience with Richer Sounds...

After extensive research online, I had decided on 2 subwoofers to test, the Rel T5I and the KEF Q400B. I asked for a demo and it was booked in for the following week at a time to suit us both. The sales assistant (Rosa) suggested I try out the Dali E12 which I hadn't even considered. For the demo, I took a selection of my own music tracks and we started with the T5 and it was rather average to say the least. When we moved on to the KEF, the sound was even more disappointing. Finally, the Dali. What a difference! I thought the volume had been turned up to the max! We checked the volume and settings on the other two and they were all set the same. We immediately ruled out the KEF! 3 or 4 songs later, it was apparent that the Dali was the clear winner. Excellent service all round as always from Richer Sounds!

I had a Cambridge audio aero 9 however after replacing it for the second time as I had the abr on both became faulty (which richer sounds customer service was absolutely fantastic and was very helpful on both occasions) the sales advisor at the Sheffield branch replaced it with the Dali E-12f which I was not happy about as the CA aero 9 was a 500w and this was only a 170w however the sales advisor assured me it is just as powerful if not more and a lot more controlled and at £500 I thought it's surly got to be good, After setup and playing transformers OMG BOY WAS HE CORRECT! It was house shacking and that was only on a very low setting as am running it in, Not only does it consume less power it's deeper, crisper and all I can say is I'm so glad I paired my monitor ... MoreI had a Cambridge audio aero 9 however after replacing it for the second time as I had the abr on both became faulty (which richer sounds customer service was absolutely fantastic and was very helpful on both occasions) the sales advisor at the Sheffield branch replaced it with the Dali E-12f which I was not happy about as the CA aero 9 was a 500w and this was only a 170w however the sales advisor assured me it is just as powerful if not more and a lot more controlled and at £500 I thought it's surly got to be good, After setup and playing transformers OMG BOY WAS HE CORRECT! There is no boomy bass just deep solid bass. 10/10 for me. The only thought I seriously can come up with and this is just because I nit picking is I personally prefer a square grill.

Nice Sub
1 October 2017

Bought to upgrade my system and set up with Onkyo amp, Monitor silver 100s and silver 350, ELAC A4 atmos and small Cambridge rears, replaces my old REL Q100E, Initial thoughts are impressive, seems a lot tighter than the REL, set up using a soundtrack from the film "Sneakers"(cosmo, old friend) which has a very low steady almost indiscernible base and is perfect to get the levels right. This sub is in a totally different location(corner facing into room) than my REL and the sounds it produces register in the chest without giving away its exact location. Doors have had to be vibration proofed again. Many thanks to Pat and his Lads at Stockport (Nathan and Jake) for all the help and advice.

So far so good
16 July 2015

I bought this product as a replacement for a Monitor Audio MRW10 sub, which suffered what appears to be a power supply failure, as did the previous MRW10 I bought. Having lost confidence in the product I opted for the DALI. Kudos to RS for exchanging the MA with no quibbles. Again. So far so good, I have only had it a week or so. The design is good, and has all the usual controls you expect on a sub. Power output is huge (for my needs) and the sound quality is deep and resonant. On LFE from a suitably noisy Blue Ray source, it delivers excellent bangs and pops that compliment the action well. A nice feature is the power LED, which is on the front panel, not the rear and so easier to find. The key thing for me is how long it will keep going.
