I bought this rod from my local store, Frankston, for snapper and big flathead over in east gippsland, the 7' 4-8kg model, and have had absolutely no problems with it, awesome feelin g rod, great sensitivity, but powers up really nicely, awesome feel when fighting a fish, so far no snapper and havent got out to east gippsland, but have caught some big banjos and gummys and sevengillers on it, all round awesome rod.

The easter bunny brought my first fishing rod being a daiwa beefsteak spinning rod, works absolutley great, caught my first three legal sized bream.

Excellent rod for the price. Yet to use. I would have got the 14ft if available as the 13ft ain't much different in length to the 12 ft rod I already have.

Exactly what I was expecting. Good piece of gear and its Diawa its good, great quality and easy to repair when subjected to extreme use. Had similar before lasts for decades.
Ordered from Keysborough store. The wrong model number was on the website, so the wrong rod was picked. But apparently that was my error. The customer service was poor and at no point did the staff admit an error in the system even after I proved to them what the proper Daiwa model numbers were. Got a refund in the form of a gift card as the attendant said she could not refund to Afterpay as she had already marked the item as being picked up and taken from the store, even though I had not touched the rod nor left the click and collect point.
I bought this rod almost 2 years ago. And never regret it!A bit heavy for all day finishing, very powerful, though. The quality, honestly, outweighs the price.
Bought for use in a kayak. Lightweight and durable. Most important it feels tough but still sensitive.
The wooden butt on the end of the 12 foot daiwa beefstick rod is unecessary, as it makes it hard to get full control of the rod when fighting a fish. I think the wooden butt is for beach fishing when on the sand, but either way, its difficult to control a big fish from the hip.
