Size: It's actually smaller than it looks. Which is't a bad thing. A 33 1/2 will hang off the side while playing, but that's no big deal. If anything, that only adds to the portability and is a great thing.Speakers: The only bad thing I can say about this little guy is that his speakers are not very good. Playing straight through the player has a small, thin, tinny sound. This to me isn't worth taking a star off though, because anyone who is into vinyl is going to be running it through an external speaker (I'm just running mine into my iPhone dock and that sounds really good). For what this product is designed to be (a small and mainly PORTABLE player), you can't really fit larger speakers on it, so like I said before, it's a non-issue. I bought this record player after weighing many options on Amazon. I highly suggest reading those reviews as they are accurate as to issues with this player. It's kind of pricey for the quality but I bought it for the cute look of it an not so much for great sound quality. The speakers on the player itself are small and don't give a good sound quality at all. I have portable speakers that sound better than these. Very cheap. The problem is easily fixed by plugging in better quality speakers as there is a line out which makes this possible. I have some computer speakers from goodwill hooked up right now and the sound is much better. The really nice part about this player is the fact that it has different speeds for 33s, 45s, and 78s. If you do buy this record player just know that you might have to invest in new speakers and I suggest a nice quality needle replacement too so that your records do not get ruined by the cheap needle that comes with it.

it depends on what you need with an LP player. this is a bit too basic for me, but it has sev good points too. however, printing black instructions on black....ie stop/start auto is not one of them. For those not familiar with calibration the tone nd speed dial are a put off as record starts to go slow. I just wabt to stick it on and play it as I nksdid 60 years ago. i ignore that feature, and all in all I AM THRILLED WITH IT. HA HA. oh no my screen is being inundated with same model for half the price i paid. Therese

I was highly disappointed in this product!! This was for a Father's Day gift and was going to be used that day for a party. There was no AC power adapter in the box so it could not be played at all. I have contacted customer service and now it will be 3 WEEKS before I can receive the power cord for my son to be able to play vinyls on HIS GIFT!!! I am highly disappointed and angry that some kind of quality control failed!! How do you expect to do anything with this without a power cord??!! I can't tell you how upset he was that something like this was not discovered before it was even shipped. Times are crazy and difficult at this time as it is. But quality should still be at it's best when the product is shipped. I can only pray that this is taken care of as quickly ... MoreI was highly disappointed in this product!! If you're looking for the best sound possible, allowing this system's dinky speakers to handle it is a mistake. Don't get me wrong, it's a great record player, but you're way better off having external speakers hooked up to it. It's compact, easy to transport, lightweight, and versatile. The speakers don't sound great, and I wouldn't recommend turning them up very high for something that requires bass. The speakers begin to rattle, and sound pretty bad. Playing it on a low volume for general listening is fine. I had the worst time hooking it up to my JBL Charge 4, which can act as a (male to female) speaker. Using headphones was hit or miss, and I'm using audiophile headphones (Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X). The best quality I was able to get out of it was using ... MoreIf you're looking for the best sound possible, allowing this system's dinky speakers to handle it is a mistake. I'm still rather confused on how to get it to connect to a bluetooth speaker. However, I am able to connect my phone to it's bluetooth, and play music through it's own dinky speakers, which sounds like it defeats the point of the product being able to be bluetooth enabled for playing records. Over all, if you're looking for a portable record player, this one is will work. Just don't expect to be blasting any tunes with it, unless you bring speakers with you.
After reading reviews about this product we ordered the one with the tweed finish. We already have a Bose cd/radio and still own vinyl records, but the 'old looking' turntable /radio/cd player we bought a few years ago was not good sound quality. Too tinny sounding, and no bass. We bought this Crosley partially because when I was very young, my father owned a tv and radio sales and repair shop. I remember he sold Crosley radios in the early 50's so was happy to find out if this unit could live up to the name. After hooking the Crosley up to the Bose, we placed the Bose facing our hallway and put on our favorite 45 record, KC and The Sunshine Band, "That's The Way I Like It", and we had a dance party in the hallway! The echo in our short, wood floor hallway, made it seem as if we were in our own private dance hall! I have not been this happy in forever! Playing some of our favorite vinyl brought back great memories of our youth that passed long ago. We are in our 70's and this was the best sound purchase we've made since the 60's when we bought our first portable stereo record player. Highly recommend if you love old vinyl! No controls to adjust bass or treble, but it gives a sound bigger than it's size when hooked up to external speakers. You could use another type of speakers, but our Bose does it for us.
Love the looks of this player! The sound quality is ok. If you are looking for Bose quality sound, this is not for you. This was a Christmas present for our college age daughter. When it was delivered it showed up in its original packaging and my daughter was home so she knew what her present was. Nothing said it would be delivered that way so that was disappointing. For $40 the player is worth the money. The sound quality isn't the best but it's good enough. The Bluetooth feature on this one allows you to use the record player as speakers. Overall its a nice beginner turntable and does what it needs to do for the money.
No frills portable record player. The speakers are pretty bad. I plan on trying some powered external speakers with it. It comes with a ceramic needle with no replacements. Records skip a bit at points, but I'm not sure if that's due to the record or the player. I ordered diamond tip stylus needles, so hopefully the will help. I will try to update once I have replaced the needle and tried external speakers if I can.TLDR: Bad speakers, skipping record, you get what you pay for?
I received two of these. One as a replacement for the first. Neither of which were boxed in a larger box to protect during shipping. Both came with the boxes ripped, damaged and even open. This was a gift that could in no way be given with the damage to the box. I didn't even open to see if the units were intact. Who doesn't package to protect???????
It's compact, fun, affordable, retro and handy! It reminds me of toting my new Beatle's 45s in my little handled box made just for the occasion, chic, like my 9 year-old self liked. Remember going to your bestie's house with your 45s in those little handled carriers? Well, this tiny turn table will take you back to the 60s.On the downside, they got the blue-tooth connection backward. It is NOT to sync up this unit with your external speaker, but rather, we can play music from our device to be heard thru the little speakers on this turntable unit. I'd rather be able to play my LPs thru a better quality external speaker. that's why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5.
