First impressions: I definitely had to try this cult product of the korean skincare industry. It’s not as sticky as I thought it would be. A little goes a long way. It’s a nice thick essence that sinks into the skin and provides a really moisturizing effect. Final Thoughts: I’ve been using this on all my night routines for a few months now and I can say it’s quite soothing and moisturizing. I like it specially on my retinol nights when my skin needs an extra calming and moisturizing product to keep my skin ready for tretinoin. Bad for acne

I really wanted to love this product because I see nothing but great reviews everywhere! It’s viral on TikTok, and everyone seems to adore it, but unfortunately, it’s a hard NO for me. I have combination, acne-prone skin and currently use Anua products. I wanted to add this for some extra moisture and that glass skin look, but my skin reacted negatively. I should have patch tested first, which was my mistake. After using it, I woke up with small, red, itchy bumps all over my face. I was previously using Hyaluronic acid (HA) from The Ordinary (TO) but this Cosrx Snail Mucin is just so so good. I switched to this serum because although my skin had cleared up with HA, a windy day completely dried my skin out and everything came back 10x worse :( TO still works but I’ve found that Snail Mucin really keeps your skin moisturised without it feeling like it has dried out your skin which is something HA feels like in general regardless of how you apply it - HA is still a super good budget option and it works really well!! However, this serum is just top tier, I would advise you buy HA if you need to use a lot on your skin because I go through Snail Mucin very quickly and it does become costly. It has cleared up my cheeks which is amazing, currently I have a few angry spots on my forehead and chin but once they go I am going to be left with small closed comedones that will be exfoliated away with my moisturiser. I used to wash my face every morning and night with my old routine because my face would feel dry but now I just wash it at night. Since adding this to my routine, I only have a PM routine. 1) I wash my face with just water at night (I still use a cleanser but only weekly.), 2) apply Snail Mucin to slightly wet face, 3) then apply Eucerin Urea Repair once my skin feels sticky. I apply more Urea repair to my driest areas like a face mask so that when I wake up in the morning my face is still moisturised This serum has really made a difference in healing my moisture barrier, though it is expensive I’ve rated it 5 stars because I think it has been completely worth it for me

That is key), follow it with the moisturizer and add the double moisture face cream by La Roche-Posay. At night, I switch out the double moisture cream for the Avène Cicalfate+, and wake up to baby’s butt smooth (and soothed) skin! Whatever pores I had before this new routine are nonexistent and my face is plump, smooth, and radiant. I’ve started getting compliments on my skin again which lets me know I’m back on track. Putting all other skincare products aside, the snail mucin essence and moisturizer are my absolute desert island HG products and I will not ever be without them! CosRX, please NEVER discontinue these items! On a side note, if you are a dry skin girly like me, you might need to add a moisturizer on top of the snail mucin moisturizer, especially in winter. It’s not quite enough hydration for me, but other moisturizers glide on top of it like a dream and I’ve never had any issues with pilling. Anyway, if you’re on the fence, just do yourself a favor and get it! Your face will thank you.

I apply a nickel sized amount to these areas. I allow it to dry & I apply a thin layer of my favorite facial lotion in daytime or my favorite facial cream at night to these same areas. My skin looks fantastic especially for my age, and especially because I am a former smoker & I’m also someone who’s lived a challenging life; as stress & smoking certainly age us at a more accelerated rate. So save all of the exuberant $ you’re spending needlessly on a variety of products & give this amazing product a try. The price is very reasonable especially for the desired effects you’ll receive.
