decent mouse. one thing i only realized after buying is you cannot change lighting effects or anything over bluetooth connection and the mouse has no memory to store a profile itself. so when you connect via bluetooth its either the default flashing rainbow lighting (which i personally find pretty harsh) or you can connect via the wireless dongle, open the app, put the mouse in power saving mode, reconnect with bluetooth and use the mouse with the main light off (dpi light stays lit). im hoping this will be resolved in future iCUE software updates but people online have been complaining about this for a couple years. happy with it in all other respects.

Been using this mouse for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving it. The software supporting it (iCUE) is good. Love the colour coded dpi settings. It is a smaller mouse; I've been using a sidewinder for a decade now and it's 2/3s bigger. Getting used to the size.Oh yeah the included usb cord (to charge it) is annoying as I don't think you can switch in another one easily as it goes in an awkward position.

The mouse is really well built and is a bit on the heavier side but I like my mice heavy. The ergonomics are really perfect for large hands (hand size: 19.5x10cm) and the included pinky rest is a lifesaver for both gaming and work. The mouse feet are really smooth, in fact too smooth that I had to lower my sensitivity lol. All buttons can be customized with Corsair iCUE quick and easy and if you need macros that can be done within the software as well. Some features can be saved to the mouse on-board memory profiles (up to 3) so you do not need the software all the time. RGB is bright and beautiful. The outer body has a textured plastic that is miles better than rubber

The Corsair Harpoon is a comfortable mouse with great performance relative to it's price. The tracking is very fast and accurate, and the adjustable dpi setting is great. I do some gaming and some photoshop/illustrator work that needs fine movements and the Harpoon adjusts down to 250 dpi for very slow fine exact movments and rockets up to 6000 dpi for breakneck gaming. The CUE software which you download from Corsair allows you to control all your settings it has very powerful macros that can be useful for gaming. You can set a repeat rate so your weapon in an FPS fires ridiculously fast but doesn't recoil like full auto. (kind of cheating but fun still!)The most important thing for me is this mouse is comfortable alot of "gaming" mice are sharp and angled to look cool, and I do not like getting stabbed by my mouse. This mouse is comfortable for long sessions with no hot spots. The rubber side grip makes it really easy to pick up the mouse. It has a nice thumb shelf to rest on. and the forward and back side buttons are intuitive to use.The DPI button is out of the way I have never accidentally hit it. The scroll wheel is nice and does not squeak. The clicks are quick but not too light, and make a sure sound but not too loud. The included RGB logo is pretty cool and fully customizable, it wasn't a selling point for me when I bought the mouse but I am having fun playing with the RGB in the CUE software, I am tempted to get other Corsair RGB products now.At the end of the day this mouse improved my gaming and aim, I am happy with it.
I put the Corsair Harpoon Gaming Mouse on my computer and my son downloaded the installation process. That is still beyond me (I'm technically challenged). My house is a little large so when anyone wants to play they go up to the office. Since I live in Las Vegas I get lots of company and when it is too hot (Most of the summer) it's great to have entertainment in the house and my computer is where no one is disturbed when the players are at it. My grandson (a true gamer at 10 years old) is teaching me the ins and outs of the mouse so I can get the most out of it. I still need more lessons from him, but I'm sure having fun with what I know already and let's face it - I just have fun being with m grandson. We only live a mile apart so I pick him up in the afternoons and we play together. I'm very lucky to be close with all my grandchildren. I must admit I still refer to the booklet, but at 82 I forget lots of things, so I now write everything down. Pencil and paper are still great things. The Corsair Harpoon Gaming Mouse is very comfortable in my hand and it works so well. The rubber grips on the side of the mouse are textured which I like and makes them easier to feel for with out looking and I like that. This mouse requires Windows 7, 8 and 10 which I have. It also needs a USB port. I have several.I am surprising myself at how much more I remember everyday and I can't wait to play games when I'm free. When you get old, time is precious so having fun is something good everyday.
The mouse construction is solid and feels great to use. Mouse wheel has good feedback when scrolling but it's not excessive like on some other mice. Both ends of the wire, the USB plug and the part where the wire connects to the mouse, are solid and I'm not worried about either breaking any time soon. It's plug and play but also is compatible with Corsair's iCUE software to customize its one RGB light zone and other settings. It's cool how the software can change the light depending on dynamic values such as the CPU temperature of the computer. Corsair really shines in customization. Additionally, the software can even change the DPI options changed via the DPI button on the mouse. You can change all the buttons to do many different tasks, except for the left click button. For example, I changed my DPI button to act as F13 instead of changing DPI, so I can use it as an extra keybind in games. They even provide an SDK for programming the mouse. Only complaints are that you can't update it's software via a USB 3.0+ port, only a USB 2.0 port (which was hard to identify on the back of my PC). Also the mouse color doesn't change to the only defined in iCUE until logged into Windows, not on the lock screen or before that.
When I first tried this mouse, I was skeptical on how my hand would actually fit. I have a smaller handsize than normal (male) so some gaming mice have an odd fit for me and I tend to be really picky (I play a lot of PC games). This mouse from Corsair, called the Harpoon, is a great buy for any workstation or home gaming set up (mostly because it's wired and not wireless).First, it looks sleek and the colors are really nice. The RGB aspect of it will certainly impress, gamers or not. I like the buttons on the side of the mouse, which make toggling shortcuts really easy. I usually set mine up to refresh the page or go back when browsing the internet. The scroll wheel was nice and clicky (but not loud) and the sensitivity was a HUGE plus while gaming. Even though I'm writing this review as part of a contest, this mouse is going to be great for both gaming and work. You'll be getting a great performance to price ratio, and it's nice that you don't have to switch mice between work and gaming.
This was a surprise to me. I needed a decent, budget, gaming mouse and when I purchased this item in store, and plugged it in, I was very impressed. For $27.99 this mouse felt better and felt more accurate than my Razer Deathadder that it replaced. It's smaller, so it fit my medium sized hands very well and the overall grip and comfort was really good for me.Pros: feels good, looks good, customizable RGB lighting, great software and upgradable firmware, under $30, very accurateCons: thumb buttons, while perfectly placed for me, feel cheap and have a tiny bit of wiggle to them.Subjective preferences: small in size, 80 grams (lightweight), 6,000 dpi max, only rgb customizable lighting is on front logoOverall: super great product for your money. 5 stars and ... MoreThis was a surprise to me. Honestly, this mouse performs better than a lot midrange to higher end products. Definitely with the money even as a backup mouse. All around, I'm very impressed with corsair and this product.
As a big fan of FPS games, I really wanted a well-built mouse with quick response that fit well in my hand. I've been using an older Razer Deathadder mouse, and it worked well enough, so I wasn't ready to spend a lot on a replacement. Imagine my surprise when I saw the Corsair Harpoon wired RGB mouse in the clearance section for $19.99! For that price, I simply couldn't pass it up. Overall, it's a really comfortable and well-made mouse. Response rates are amazing, and the DPI (speed) can be adjusted on the fly by clicking the button right behind the mouse wheel. Speaking of buttons, they're all very solid and work great. My only complaint (sort of) is that the 2 buttons on the side are recessed a little too far and are nearly flush with the side of the mouse. ... MoreAs a big fan of FPS games, I really wanted a well-built mouse with quick response that fit well in my hand. My only complaint (sort of) is that the 2 buttons on the side are recessed a little too far and are nearly flush with the side of the mouse. Probably not a huge issue for most, but for game play, it's not ideal. I deducted 1 star in this review purely for that reason. The Corsair logo lights up and can be synchronized with other Corsair RGB products using their iCUE software. After seeing how well this works with my Corsair RGB water cooling system, I'll probably end up buying a Corsair RGB keyboard to sync all of the lights! Overall, I'm really happy with this mouse, especially at the price. They have a newer version for $29.99, which I think is a steal even at that price. Highly recommended, especially for those looking for a good gaming mouse that won't break the bank.
Very short range for the 2.4G. Make sure the receiver and mouse is no more than 1.3m apart otherwise the 2.4G mode will not function - mouse skips across the screen every few mins.My forearm and pinkie cramps. I think this is due to the smaller than average size of the mouse. Never had such issues with any mouse I have ever used.
