Performance wise my pc doesn’t currently need the power from this psu but I got it for future proofing for my next gpu in mind. The fan doesn’t even operate with my system currently hence why it’s so quiet. Worth the price with the 10 year warranty. Fully praided black cables (fully modular). The 16 pin is a little thick but that’s to be expected. Had it for a month and have had zero problems with it. Keeps my pc nice and quiet. It’s a little long but I think that comes with all psu about this wattage

I purchased this to replace my Corsair Hx850 after getting a 3080. I thought my previous power supply would be enough to power everything, but after playing a few games on max settings my PC would randomly just shut down. This replacement worked out great, and MC even price matched me after I noticed amazon had the same power supply for less. Amazing store, amazing service, overall a great experience!

Initially when I opened the box, I was surprised to find it came with no instructions or warranty information. I set up this psu in a brand new rig only to find out that the system wouldn't boot at all. Narrowed the issue down to being the psu itself by testing with my old psu. Figured it wouldn't be an issue, I'd just use my old psu until a replacement came. The thing that makes me no longer want this at all is when I discovered not only is the psu bad, but all of the cabling that came with it. Once I got my system to boot, it couldn't detect any of my SSD's. I then Narrowed that down to the cables that came with the psu... so not only was the psu faulty, but every cable I tried to use as well. Super disappointing product.

Power supplies are like offensive lineman in football. If the PSU is garbage, everything goes wrong. If the PSU is awesome, all of your components have what they need to do their jobs, and you forget your PSU is even doing anything. No glamour, no bling, just solid performance under all conditions = the HX1000. A great PSU should be the cornerstone of EVERY build, and the HX1000 definitely delivers. Build quality is excellent, and cable lengths were just fine in the Antec 1900 I used as a test bed. The 1900 has dual PSU chambers, and the stickler for any build is routing the EPS12v cable behind the motherboard, all the way to the rear top-edge. I wasn’t able to quite make it from the bottom chamber, but the secondary chamber located right above it worked just fine. ... MorePower supplies are like offensive lineman in football. I wasn’t able to quite make it from the bottom chamber, but the secondary chamber located right above it worked just fine. That basically means you’ll have hidden cable management in just about every case out there – very nice. The flat ribbon cables are thin and flexible, sealed to the ends, and do the job nicely. Personally speaking, I prefer Corsair’s sleeved cable kits, but that adds $100 to the build, so not for everyone. Oh, and a case badge, for those that care (I do 😊) I’ve always felt that the whole multi-rail concept is pretty gimmicky for today’s consumer/gaming builds, where load balancing is rarely going to be an issue, but the ability to choose is always nice. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, the HX1000 would be an excellent foundation for a Bit Coin mining rig, where you would max out your PCI-E slots with high-end GPU’s. For the average gamer, you’ll barely dent the power spec with a high-end CPU/dual-GPU/pile of SSD’s/water pump/fans/etc. While the HX1000 would appear to be overkill for nearly any standard/gaming setup, it’s well worth the $200 price tag, as thermals are the killer of all electronics, and with so much efficient power available, you’ll be keeping those thermals low, and will be running this PSU across a lot of builds, for many years. A high-quality PSU like the HX1000 should be the first thing in your Newegg cart when piecing together any build. I have an old Antec 850w Quattro that I’ve been running for eight years. That PSU has handled more builds than I can remember, and more overclocking/multiple GPU setups than any “normal” person would ever throw at it. The HX1000 is exactly THAT kind of PSU, so expect years over service, and feel good about Corsair’s warranty, too. Higher-end companies like Corsair, Cooler Master, and Antec always backup their products – and they don’t do it by sending you refurbished replacements (speaking from experience on all three companies). Not really much more to say here. If you know that you’re the kind of builder looking for high power draw with overclocks/multiple GPU setups – then put the HX1000 in your cart, and continue shopping. Easy button purchase, and highly recommended!
Great power supply. My only complaint is the AC connector to the wall. It is a two prong, American style plug. The problem is the ground is just a green wire hanging off the end. You could attach the ground to an AC outlet mount for ground, but a common UPS doesn't have this. So, I had to buy aftermarket (this isn't a standard PC plug, it's big and square). Tripp Lite Heavy-Duty Power Cord, 15A, 14AWG )IEC-320-C19 to NEMA 5-15p). 10 ft. (p034-010). This is why I gave "Easy to install" One star. If you pay $800 for a power supply, you shouldn't have to purchase aftermarket cords to make it plug into AC power properly.
Recently bought this product earlier in the month to upgrade my current PC. I originally sat at 650w with high end parts but felt I could do with more breathing room like less daisy chaining and more direct plugging also all the extra peripheral/sata power to use. Thanks to this I can also utilize more potential from my parts with overclocking although all I wanna touch so far is xmp/docp. Great thing this also has the rating it does so I don't have to worry about it breaking anytime soon.
I definitely went overkill with getting this much wattage, however this (and the 1000w model) are Tier A Gold on the LTT PSU Tier List. With the 10 year warrant any 80+ Platinum rating, this ticks all the boxes for me (Overhead for overclocking, quite operation even when the system is drawing its max load, future-proof at least for the warranty period).PS Used in the Fractal Torrent, and this is a tight fit. So pay careful attention to the PSU dimensions supoprted by your case. While this isn't the largest PSU, it's definitely hefty.
Great product. It doesn't overheat. The psu is bigger than most so space will be needed for placement and cable management. The cables are sleeved and thick, not pliable like other cables, but manageable. My build is housed in a Lian Li 011D XL, and cable management required some thought in order to not have a rats nest. I have an EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 Ultra which requires three pcie cables. The psu comes with all the cables necessary to power all your hardware, so don't fret you're covered. I'm very satisfied with the quality of this psu. I recommend it 100%.
I purchased a full PC from PCCaseGear recently and am stoked with every aspect of the hardware. Everything was super simple to setup and it has been running flawlessly since powering on.The only gripe that I have is the high price of the Lian Li vertical GPU adapter ($109) and an extra $9 for the CPU Mounting bracket. I personally feel that 40% of the case price for a bracket exhorbitant, and considering that I spent the best part of $6,000AUD, charging for the CPU mount was a bit on the nose.
This power supply is excellent. First, the electricity transfer efficiency is outstanding, so the heat generation is low. The fan does not spin until a full load is applied, which is very quiet. Currently, I'm using this power on a computer with a 5950X and an RTX 3080. It works perfectly.Considering the power capacity, it is a power supply that can operate two RTX 3090s.I am delighted and would highly recommend it if you want to build a high-end computer.
