Copic Sketch Set 12
Copic Sketch Markers are professional quality tools suitable for drafting and design, paper crafts and illustration. They feature a medium broad marker chisel nib on one end and a super brush tip on the other end. The alcohol-based ink is permanent, non-toxic and acid-free when dry. As the ink is alcohol-based, pens are shelf-stable for three years. The ink is also blendable. It won't react with toner, so is safe to use with photocopies. The pen body is a flattened oval shape to prevent rolling. The pens are a uniform grey with a contrasting cap colour to reflect the ink colour. Their polypropylene body provides a smooth and comfortable grip. Copic Sketch Markers are refillable. Replacement nibs and alternative nibs are available in our online store. The Copic Sketch Marker - 12 Basic Colour Set includes G17-Forest Green, B14-Light Blue, B29-Ultramarine, B39-Prussian Blue, E09-Burnt Sienna, 100-Black, V09-Violet, RV11-Pink, R08-Vermillion, YR04-Chrome Orange, Y13-Lemon Yellow, and YG03-Yellow Green.

These are the best markers I've ever used! I'm an amateur colorist. I color in Sachin Sachdeva's "Butterfly Colour by Number" to destress. I switched to Copic when I couldn't get Prismacolor double ended art markers any more. In addition to all their other good qualities they are comfortable to hold. The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't cap them on the other side while drawing.

This is my first set of Copic markers, and I have enjoyed using them, these colors are more muted, but that is what I was looking for. The only minor con with these markers, is that they can sometimes bleed from the tips, which can ruin artwork at times. It's usually due to air trapped in the marker, so before use, just open both ends for a moment before using. That solved it for me. Sometimes it's due to manufacturer over filling. Otherwise, the best part about these markers is that they are re-tillable.

I thought that by spending a lot of money that I would be happy with this product. ( I agree with the person that wrote the color bleeds through the paper.) The tops are hard to get on. The container is flimsy. The blunt end of the pen was disappointing to use. It could only be used at one angle effectively. The thin line appeared weak. The brush end also lacks versatility. It can only be applied in one angle as well. I think this product is probably comparable to other less expensive brands of the two ended pens. I am looking for something that makes a bold full line and flows easily (and of course does not bleed). I should have talked with a sales person before I purchased these. I gave it as a Christmas gift as well. Hope they were not disappointed.
Copics cannot be beat when it comes to Pale and Earth tones, and R0000 did not disappoint. It's the perfect shade for cool leaning characters with a very fair complexion, and I find that it works beautifully with both R20 and BV000. It is so subtle that it also helps to blend out R000, which I love. #sweepstakes
I love Copic markers because they blend so effortlessly and really give me a nice finish to all my work. I mainly use them to color stamped images, although I do use them on original artwork and occasionally in mixed media. I have had issues lately with the Copics I received from Blick, which is very unusual, but they immediately made it right and replaced the markers that were completely dried out on arrival. I had given away my entire collection and had to buy quite a few markers at a time, so perhaps it was just bad luck that a number of markers were duds given the number I ordered. I will continue to use Blick and to buy Copics. I know they are expensive, but they are refillable and I find they usually last a good long while before I need to refill them. I like ... I like not having to throw away a marker and add more plastic to our landfills. I also like the quality of Copic ink and how it blends. I highly recommend them.
I use my Copic Sketch markers to color my stamped cards. Most of my coloring is done with Copic markers rather than watercolor or colored pencils so I have the need for the Copic ink refills also & I have recently ordered a lot of them. Copics are from China & they recently changed the refill container so now you get less ink for a bit more money. However, I am glad they finally are on sale. Regardless you get a better price on Copic markers & refill inks here at Dick Blick than anywhere else. Orders are filled promptly & have always been filled correctly. I also ordered the StrathmoreSmooth Bristol cardstock here as It is cheaper than anywhere I have looked.
I've been collecting Copic Sketch Markers for about 6 months now, and I have to say, my satisfaction with their quality only continues to grow over time. For me the biggest reason I chose to invest in Copic despite their extremely high price tag (compared to other brands of alcohol markers) is the color range. As a color-obsessed and detail-oriented person the expanded range the Sketch markers offer cannot be matched by another brand at this point in time. Also from a long-term perspective it's great having refills available for every color so you don't have to throw away your marker every time it's empty. If you're looking to take illustration seriously and you have chosen markers as your media of choice, I cannot recommend Copic enough.#sweepstakes
My husband is a semi-professional artist. I call him that because he makes enough money off his art to fund his several hobbies. Even though the art marker market has become crowded in the past few years, Copic is still his favorite and Dick Blick's frequent sale prices makes this the best place to buy them.My favorite part is how easy it is to buy them as gifts. With more than 300 colors to chose from, I'd be lost if I had to pick a few to buy, but that's where Copic makes it easy with their number classifications, like YG05. YG05 might be the perfect color for a tennis ball on a sunny day, but to make the ball look more realistic, you want to add highlights and shadow. as long as you stay with YG0_ the colors will blend to make a realistic looking ball. So I know that if I get my husband YG05, YG03, and YG06, they will blend nicely. Plus it's a lot easier to use Copic's app on my phone to keep track of what he has and what he needs, so I can continue to fill the gaps in his collection!
You can't go wrong with copics. They are the best markers out there, and Blick has the best deal on them! I have saved so much on copics since I started purchasing through Blick, and I am highly satisfied with their quality. They do not compare with other markers. If you want professional, long lasting work you will be proud of, grab yourself a pack of these markers. They are excellent for illustrations, sketches, graphic work, and more. I have been using them for years and I absolutely enjoy them! The only other markers I find to be comparable would be the Blick studio brush markers and the Specrum Noir illustrator markers. But copic is by far my first choice.
