Absolute all round banger of a shoe! Order a size smaller than you wear for Adidas or Nike. They look great with anything but this year, team with rolled chinos or worker pants. The ONLY gripe was the laces. For the third time, the ones supplied by Office have the laces for a low top (45") so I have had to search and buy extra laces for a high top (54").

These shoes ROCK MAN!!! They go with every outfit and hide my insecurities. Perfect shoe for every fit. Comfort is alright, you can tell the tech was from almost 100 years ago. Sizing is kinda weird though (they fit huge) I had to go a full-size down to get the perfect fit (I have a narrow foot).

When Converse came out with the Converse II - it was a nice but failed attempt at updating the standard All star sneaker. The Converse 70 fixed the problems with the Converse II - such as it didn't look like a Converse shoe and wore down with time. This shoe looks a lot like a standard Converse All star shoe. It is incredibly tough. The canvas takes a beating and still maintains it's shape giving you actual ankle support. The insert is fully replaceable and the canvas construction means it doesn't wear out much at all. The soul is touch as nails as well and padded so you get a lot of support. If I had to pick one grievance (minor one) is that the laces are not my favorite. I prefer the standard Converse laces for some reason - maybe because one pair broke on me - ... Almost returned these as I didn’t realise how shiny the top cap and foxing was! However, super glad I didn’t, they are crazy comfy, amazing quality compared to my standard all star high tops, didn’t have to break them in either! Only slight cons are the laces. Also glad I stuck with normal size and didn’t size down as other reviews suggested.
This is my first pair of 70s Chucks. They fit true to size as far as Chucks go. I have always been a 7.5 in Converse All Star, high or low. I tend to be a size 8 in most other shoes. I got the beige ones, but I think I might get the black version too. I have an old pair of low burgundy coloured Chucks, but they're starting to come undone by the toes. I read that these 70s version have the extra stitching by the toes to help prevent the rubber from coming away at the crease. The rubber also goes higher over the canvas, the canvas is sturdier, and the rubber toe is smaller. The insole is much cushier than what I'm used to with Chucks. It's too cold to wear them now, but these are super versatile for next year.
i looked into the measurements of the chucks 70s compared to the normal chuck taylors and i saw they had the same measurements so i bought a size 6. But turns out reviews were right and you should get a half size down. It doesnt feel that big but you notice the difference if you compare to the chuck taylors.
