I have used the clear strips on walls with the clear hooks where I do not want it to show. I loved them, but they do not age well. When I got out some to use this week, they had little or no stickiness on the wall side. Very disappointed. Had to use the regular small strips that i have had even longer.

Trying to hang lightweight decorations and the Command hooks fell off the wall and in some instances, I needed to move the hook and it took the paint off the wall. At one time, this was a good product, but not anymore. Garbage!

I bought this yesterday and I tried to put them on my command hooks but they were completely dry~ I couldn't hang up my hook :( I'm not sure if the refills use a lower quality glue or something but I definitely would not recommend buying this! If your original hooks ran out of the strips just buy new ones. I am super disappointed because I really do love using my command hooks, but I guess in order to reuse them I'll have to buy new ones anyways to get the good quality refills :(

I have been buying the large pack of the clips for the past few years. I have about 1000 hooks with no refills to be found. This is such a waste of a great product. I guess they are considered disposable. I hate to throw them away each year after using them for my Christmas lights but what is the sense of keeping them if you can not get refills. I see that there are 12 pack refills but I have never seen them in any stores. 12 will do no good and at that price its cheaper to just buy new ones each year. I think that is what the company intended so they continue to make money while not caring about the landfills.
I got these a month ago and I'm glad I did!! I hate putting tacks in my walls and leaving holes every where. These command strips are excellent. Easy to apply .With just a little measuring pictures hang beautifully on my wall without rocking . If you have to move them the command strips come off so easy without tearing up your wall. And the best part is, There is no holes all over your walls!! Love the command strips and recommend them alot!
We use these for trade shows and they're great for temporary displays. They work longer as well, but the temporary and non-damaging benefits are huge. The original clips come in a box of 40 for like $5. Refills come in a pack of 12 for $3.50. That's stupid. I would love for the refills to come in a huge box. The whole point is that I can reuse these clips and save on plastic waste. Please give me a way to buy a large quantity of refill strips. I would buy 100 packs or more if they were available at a reasonable price.
The small clear strip have a definite shelf life. We bought some for hanging decorations December of 2020. Worked great. We left a couple of them up to hang seasonal decorations throughout the year. About 18 months later one of the decorations fell. Went back to the package for a replacement strip and it had no adhesive on either side. The paper covers just kind of fell off. Since then we have had another fall off that had been up for about 8 months. We had to buy a new package of hooks to get strips as nobody seems to carry the small, clear refills. Maybe put an expiration date on the packages?
This review is for the Command Clear Small Refill Strips. I used these along with the command clear hooks. These work great for hanging things without leaving holes from nails. The are easy to attach to most surfaces and can remove just as easy. I use them for many different things in my house and definitely recommend them.
I recently used the command hook refills and they worked great! They were really easy to replace my other ones and I had no issues with them leaving residue on the walls. I really like how well they stay put and I don’t have to worry about them moving around or falling off. I will continue to use these products and would definitely recommend!
Only purchase what you will immediately use. I used 6 out of the 18 and the adhesive dried out on the remaining 12. They cannot be used at all. Very disappointing.
