This was my first whitening experience in quite a while due to the fact that I have sensitive teeth. I was excited and also nervous to test this product but I really needed to give something a try, because my teeth have darkened considerably due to a major coffee and tea habit! I did not experience any sensitivity on my teeth, but I did a bit on my gums—which was really due to user error and can be avoided. The product adheres strongly to the teeth when applied. I do recommend drying teeth before application with a paper towel in order to get the best bond. The gel can be removed the next morning with a simple brushing. Happily, I started seeing results pretty quickly and I am excited to continue using this product. Highly recommend

This whitening pen started working right away for me. The instructions were strange and it said only 2 clicks would bring the gel to the tip of the pen. After many clicks, some gel finally came out. Your teeth have to be dry before applying. When you apply the gel, it immediately coats your teeth in the whitening gel. It will be something you visually see. The tip of the applicator pen got goey after a while and started leaving white goop on my teeth. Super strange. Overall I've used it only a few times since I bought it and I am very impressed. I would rather do this then the strips. I put it on before I get into bed and brush my teeth after waking up! Quick and painless.

I've used strips but had a difficult time keeping them in place with gum irritation and product collecting in particular areas of a less than perfect lower set of teeth. A pen seems conceptually like a great solution with the ability to target areas that cannot be done with strips.My teeth are brighter 4 days into the first week but I doubt I will get 35 days of treatment out of this pen because of the clumping/stiffening and the need to eject more product to clear.Instructions are to dry teeth with a tissue prior to application. Clumping and other random-looking thickening during application is the main problem in the lower jaw because saliva, like everything else, flows downward to gravity. Keeping the lower teeth dry for application is nearly impossible; you just can't turn off saliva. It seems like product contact with saliva affects clumping. I'm never really sure I've got an even covering.

The little red plastic stand included in the box is a good idea, but the pen does not sit well in the stand. It falls over easily as the pen is quite loose in the stand. I may or may not purchase this product. The Colgate Optic White Pen is a very convenient way to remove unsightly stains that have accumulated over many years of daily tea and coffee consumption. It was superior in performance to other whitening products I tried in the past. I love the ability to control the amount of the product and only apply it to teeth that I felt needed it. I anticipate it will last a great length of time. My canine teeth were notably yellowed over the years and now they blend seamlessly with my other teeth. I contemplated professional whitening to help with this but have heard very mixed reviews about its success. Highly recommend removing it with a damp cloth in the morning if you have any difficulty. Will never buy again-bad reaction!

Not what I expected…I had a bad reaction to the whitening gel. To be clear…I followed the directions. I Did a test on my teeth; and although the product is advertised for sensitive teeth, it was a painful experience for my teeth and mouth. The Gel caused discomfort on my teeth. And even after waiting the alotted time (per directions) after gel application, the inside of my bottom lip felt on fire after it touched my teeth. I tried to rub off the gel from my teeth and the area on my lip that was burning, then I tried using water to remove it and it felt worse! I then tried brushing the affected areas as carefully as possible. The affected areas slowly began to decrease in intensity, especially after the 3rd brushing.
