Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara 8 ml Black

I ordered this mascara in a beach bag gift set. I always loved Clinique products and never had a problem..When I used the mascara it was awful. It went on in clumps to my eyelashes. I had to remove my eye makeup and go out that evening with my husband without eye makeup. I had tossed my old mascara knowing I had my new Clinique mascara delivered. I brought the mascara back to maceys the next day. The women working the counter was no help what so ever. She said there was nothing wrong with it and I couldn’t get refunded or a new mascara. Very disappointed in Clinique.Won’t be purchasing Clinique no longer. I would give 0 stars

Clinique waterproof mascara…it’s a little beauty.

Quality product. Applicator slim line and perfect application. No clumping. Black brown color but would prefer a little more brown so not as stark on mature skin. Long wearing and Very comfortable to wear. Definitely hypoallergenic. Eyes not irrititated. Worth paying that little bit more for a product I can use and appreciate and not throw it straight in the bin.

Did surprisingly well!

I applied 3 coats of this mascara and it is legit waterproof! I applied my makeup in the mornings before work (8hrs) and then headed to a spin class afterwards(45mins). Besides being a sweaty mess, I noticed right away that I didn’t have any flakes in my under-eye area nor did I have raccoon eyes! To remove, I used a Neutrogena make up wipe or Garnier micellar water. Also, once applied, it didn’t leave my eyelashes crisp or heavy. I did try another method: Applied 2 coats of ILia mascara and then a layer of this mascara and STILL didn’t have a smudging. Worth every penny!

Goodbye panda eyes!

I bought this on a whim after reading some reviews. I have tried almost every mascara on the market and this is by far the best one for staying put and not smudging. Before I used this I always ended up with the dark circles of panda eyes but with this mascara I can wear it all day without having to touch up under my eyes and wipe away the panda circles. It is amazing and won't bother with all the other mascaras now. I think this is potentially the most underrated mascara, and did I mention it is also excellent value for money!! Love it and can't recommend it enough.

Highly reccomend

I gave it a 4 because it does not give me as much volume as I would’ve hoped without a few coats. I used to use “Better then Sex” mascara but it simply leaves too much residue under the eye throughout the day to the point where I have to keep wiping away the black raccoon under eye. This Clinique waterproof mascara is actually waterproof as I have worn it submerged under water many times and it lasts without the black residue under your eye for all day wear. My lashes are naturally long as it is, so it works for me. Someone with shorter lashes might not like the lack of volume. However, it does not clump and gives each individual lash it’s own shine.

It sticks!

I bought this as part of the Sun-Kissed Essentials Set. I hadn't used it until recently, as I still had my High Impact™ Mascara. All I can say is it is awful! It is waterproof, but in my experience, it is more of a stick to your eyelashes! I used two different types of makeup remover from Clinique to remove it and the results are the same! You have to literally scrub your eyes to wash it off! I have sensitive eyes and as a result, I ended up with red and irritated eyes! Also, it really doesn't give a nice look to your eyelashes at all! I wasn't happy with the High Impact™ Mascara anymore, so I thought to give a try to this, but I surely regret it!

Not good for your eyes!

I'm sad to write this because I love Clinique however both times I have worn this Mascara I ended up with a severe reaction turn infection! I hardly ever wear mascara because I hate how it ends up clumpy on your face. But I really try to when I go out if I'm in the mood. I really wanted to try Cliniques because it's waterproof and high impact. The first time I wore it, I thought I was reacting to environmental allergies or something, but now as I write this today in so much pain, it's happened again! I put the mascara on yesterday afternoon to go out. Around 2 hours later, My eyes started to itch, burn, felt like sand was in my eyes! So glad I can get brown/black again!

I've used this type of mascara for more years than I care to admit because it's simply perfect for me! I've never had it smudging or giving me raccoon eyes and I've put it through many torture tests! I ride horses and it's survived major sweat fests flawlessly! I've been asked by many fellow riders what type of mascara I used and told them without hesitation. Word of mouth is probably the best advertising! I will say though, I was growing increasingly frustrated when I couldn't get the black/brown colour anymore, I loved the mascara so much I didn't want to use anything else, so I bought this in black. I didn't like it as I felt it was too harsh for my old 67 year old eyes. I asked to be notified when it was back in stock and just got the notification recently. Terrible brush

I have no idea why this waterproof version is so different from the regular High Impact Mascara. I've been using a sample of the regular one and liked it a lot, so I decided to get the waterproof version since I live in a humid area. Except this one has a completely different brush that does a TERRIBLE job gripping short eyelashes. The formula also feels different; it's so thin, it doesn't build up very well. Despite applying multiple coats this morning, my eyelashes don't look different than my no-mascara look. I'll be returning this and replacing with the regular non-waterproof version. I really miss Dior's Diorshow Iconic Mascara...
