Before I start off this review, I 100% thought that these two tiny packets were not nearly enough of a sample to provide a comprehensive review on the product. However, admittedly, this is one of the few products that I have almost immediately considered purchasing as soon as I saw how well it worked for me! 🤩I was surprised to have matched with this Clarin Tinted Serum using TopBox, as I haven’t received anything from them in quite a while. My first impression was disappointment: these are FAR too small to cover my entire face even once, how could I possibly test its pros/cons on my skin after barely 1 use?! 🤦🏼‍♀️Well, I was very pleasantly surprised... Firstly, Clarin’s “Hazelnut” sample matched my skin to a T - a feat in an of itself. Secondly, as I soon discovered, a little goes a long way. Worried about how little product was in the packet, I used the pads of my fingers to spread out the butter-like serum. It felt smooth without feeling oily, covered most of my red spots/imperfections, and left my skin with a beautiful glow. I didn’t even have to use foundation! I quick pat with translucent powder and I was ready to face the day. Safe to say, I was absolutely blown away with the quality.Unsurprisingly, you get what you pay for: 30mls of this liquid gold costs an average of $62 at Sephora. But considering how little product you need for a flawless finish, I may very well bite the bullet in the next few days and buy a full-size bottle. But I would definitely stick to using the pads of my fingers, as I wouldn’t want any of this expensive product getting sopped up by a brush or sponge!Btw, I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes!

The serum is very runny so application was a bit messy. The serum had a light feel, I like the adjustable coverage and glow it gave my skin. It's nice to have the option of layering it on depending on how much coverage is needed. What I didn't like was how it made the remaining dry patches on my face more prominent. The tinted serum looked great in other areas of my face, but I wouldn't use it on areas that are blemished because it made the flaws even more pronounced. I'd like to keep using it to see if there's any improvement in my skin's hydration overtime. The only other minor complaint is the smell. It has an unusual smell which I'm guessing is from the natural oils/ingredients in the formulation, however it would be great if there's a way to add a pleasing scent. I normally prefer unscented products but this time, I really didn't appreciate the smell of it.Overall, good quality product with natural ingredients, formulation could be tweaked for ease of application, better scent and blemish coverage.I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes.

As someone with dry sensitive skin who doesn't like a full coverage foundation, I'm always on the lookout for products that will even out my skin tone, conceal my redness, and not dry my skin out. I recently tried the Clarins Tinted Oleo-Serum in Shades 2.5 and 3 and thought it was a really unique product. My initial thought of the serum was that it had a light and luxurious texture that applies really effortlessly on your skin without any streakiness. I used my fingers to apply it and felt that it took a little long to dry down and left behind a slight greasy texture, but despite that, did provide some coverage and felt really nourishing. After about 5 minutes of wear, I rubbed my finger across where I applied it and a bit came off on my finger.I found the shade ... MoreAs someone with dry sensitive skin who doesn't like a full coverage foundation, I'm always on the lookout for products that will even out my skin tone, conceal my redness, and not dry my skin out. After about 5 minutes of wear, I rubbed my finger across where I applied it and a bit came off on my finger.I found the shade range to be a bit limited and since I'm never on the palest end of the spectrum, I chose the third and fourth shades, which ended up not matching my skin tone at all. I found them to be very orange and quite dark, with shade 2.5 being more orange and darker than 3. I feel like maybe shade 2 would be more appropriate for my skin tone.I think this tinted serum is great for someone that has dry skin and wants some glowy light coverage. Given that the formula contains jojoba and hazelnut oil, these can be quite comedogenic and potentially trigger fungal acne. It does also contain fragrance, so another thing to be aware of if you have very sensitive skin.I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes.
I received 2 samples of this product in shade 2.5 and 3. The shade 2.5 matched quite well, though it's quite sheer once fully applied, so the colour blends with your skin easily. This is the first time I try a serum with this consistency, though I have tried dry oil serums before and this one just felt too oily for my liking, though it dries fast enough, I feel like it could be lighter. I also think this would work better on people who don't have texture or too many fine lines, as the tint makes texture and wrinkles more noticeable. However, it helps using this product after applying a hydrating cream and a silk finish primer, but I'm not sure if that would affect the purpose and benefits of the product. I would say it's a good idea to come up with a tinted serum that comes with amazing benefits for your skin, after all this is Clarins we are taking about, I have always bought their products because they are quite good, but this time this specific serum is just not for me. I feel like it would be perfect for someone younger and without much texture. I already have my favourites from Clarins and buy them all the time, so I loved having the opportunity to try this product before buying, it's always very valuable to me to be able to test something beforehand, but for now I will stick to my usual Clarins serum. I hope one day they come up with a tinted serum that isn't oil based or maybe a very light dry oil. "I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes."
I recently had the chance to try out a sample of the Clarins Tinted Oleo-Serum, and while there were some aspects I appreciated, there were a few drawbacks that left me with mixed feelings. One of the product's key claims is its nourishing and hydrating properties, thanks to ingredients like hazelnut and jojoba. While the serum did feel moisturizing overall, I couldn't help but notice that it clung to dry patches on my skin. The colour selection is another aspect that left me somewhat underwhelmed. Despite having the two lightest shades, I still noticed orangey undertones upon application. The application process was smooth, and the serum managed to even out my skin tone effectively. I appreciated the lightweight feel on my skin and found it didn't leave a greasy residue but a satiny smooth finish.I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes. It’s also worth noting that I only had the opportunity for a single-use experiment as I was only sent a small sample packet of colour 1 and 2.
I must preface with - I don't normally wear foundation. I wear a powder that I love and have been loyal to for about 20 years. If I didn't receive this as a sample, I would never have tried it and I am so glad I did. This was a shockingly pleasant surprise, thank you Clarins, Sephora and Topbox! When I initially tried Tinted Oleo-Serum shade #5, I was unsure of the colour and didn't like the way it applied. I washed it off, put on sunscreen then reapplied where it then smoothly glided on and blended well with a brush, but was still unsure of the colour. I don't like strong scents, this was not. I found the light luxurious scent faded and was not overpowering at all. Went out for the night and came home to find GREAT looking skin, I was amazed! I have dry skin so the serum felt really nice and did not look or feel oily. I brought my regular makeup to refresh during the evening, but it was not even necessary, one application of the Tinted Oleo-Serum lasted all night without a touchup! I am SUPER HAPPY with this product! As for long term benefits, I can not say, as my sample was only enough for two wears.I would love to try this tinted serum for longer term as I do love Clarins Skincare products and have used it for years, but had never tried their Makeup line until now."I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes." - This did not influence my above review.
1/2 - I received free samples of Clarins Tinted Oleo-Serum Jojoba Hazelnut Shade 2.5 and 3 from TopBoxMarketing for test/review. As a woman with an ever-evolving/rotating skin care and make-up routine, I was excited to try this product as I typically utilize a serum and BB/CC Cream or foundation, or at times a tinted moisturizer. My skin is typically normal/combination, but becomes more combination/dry in winter months, so the timing of this trial was perfect. I’m not entirely sure how thin this product is when purchased in bottle, as I found the 2.5 shade to be considerably more runny than the 3. The received samples were just small 1-application pouches, so I can’t speak to the long term effects of the serum itself, but I can say that for the most part it applied ... More1/2 - I received free samples of Clarins Tinted Oleo-Serum Jojoba Hazelnut Shade 2.5 and 3 from TopBoxMarketing for test/review. The received samples were just small 1-application pouches, so I can’t speak to the long term effects of the serum itself, but I can say that for the most part it applied as you would expect a serum to. It applies smoothly as a serum would, and provides good coverage, though the colours were not as I’d expected from the images online. I believe it’s really a product best tried either by sample or in store prior to purchase. I have slight yellow tones as well as slight rosy tones, as well as freckles of varying degrees of darkness. Overall, if I were applying it anywhere else on my body, it likely would have been alright, but with tones such as mine, it appeared overly orange. Additionally, it made all shades of freckles appear grey and considerably more prominent than I prefer them to be. The colour only lasted about as long as the serum took to fully absorb/wear off, about a couple hours. I’m not sure how this would hold up during summer months if it disappears this quickly in winter. Utilizing a setting powder helps it last a bit longer, and using a tinted setting powder helps a bit for minor colour corrections. I played around with it a bit with various concealer types, and it didn’t blend well with any of them texture or colour wise. If you’re looking to appear more au-natural, this may be a product for you to try, but it isn’t ideal for any layering or imperfection
Since this is a tinted serum moisturizer, I did not expect full coverage and the sample size (1 mL) was not enough to the achieve the best result as desired. The key ingredients in this product is hazelnut oil, organic jojoba oil, and ceramides which are supposed to nourish, protect, and hydrate the skin. After application, I noticed my complexion was slightly brighter and the finish was very sheer, matte but not dewy or glowing as expected. I also experienced minor irritation on my face and some areas felt itchy throughout the day. Overall, I was not impressed with this product because I personally prefer medium-full coverage foundations. I would not recommend this to anyone who does not like fragrance. I think this would be more suitable for people with normal to oily skin and looking for semi-matte finish, natural skin tint or very light to minimal coverage in order to achieve that perfect flawless complexion “no make up” look.I received this product for free from Topbox Marketing for testing and review purposes.
