I was so very sorry that Clarins took their Tinted moisturiser off the market! I had used it for about 25 years! I was at a loss what to do! However after an online face to face chat, to talk about colour etc, with one of your helpful advisers. I now use Tinted Oleo Serum. It is amazing! You only require two drops for each application and it covers beautifully. Looks very natural and is long lasting. It is definitely the one for me now!

I got a sample of this in Boots yesterday. I quite like the finish but it’s matte on me and not at all glowy, which I don’t mind. The colour match is hopeless for me as even 01 is too dark by about two shades. For this reason I wouldn’t buy it. I am using Clarins BB detox fluid at the moment and won’t re-buy that again either for the same reason. I have 00 and it’s still too dark for me. I compared the 01 Oleo against the 00 BB fluid and they look the same shade. The Oleo and BB don’t have light enough shades for very fair skin or dark enough ones for very brown or black skin in my opinion.

I am not a fan of foundation at all. Being very fair I struggle to get a good colour match and dislike the heavy masked fake-tan look. I also have very dry skin that lacks glow.I received a sample of this. This product is unlike anything I have ever used before! It applies like a serum on top of moisturiser, sunscreen etc and is very light and hydrating. It's very easy to blend out, doesn't irritate the eye area and leaves the skin with a subtle glow (not shimmery or anything though).I will definitely be purchasing the full size product. Shade 01 is perfect for us pale-skinned ladies. One reviewer mentioned that she noticed some pilling after her skincare routine; this has not been my experience.

Natural Coverage, Good Staying Power!
7 July 2023

I have used this new tinted dry oil serum for several days now, and I'd definitely recommend it if you love the summer fresh skin no make-up look. Tinted Oleo-Serum does blur any uneven areas, giving a good, naturally tanned appearance (my skin tone is medium, olive in summer, 114 Cappuccino in Everlasting Youth Fluid, Dark in the spf25 BB Fluid, so I went for shade 6). The texture is exactly as Clarins say: a dry treatment oil, similar to nuxe. It won't replace my trusty favourite BB Detox Fluid, but I am definitely pleased to have tried it, and it is a light option for warmer days, or those when you're feeling less made-up. It has surprisingly good staying power, no afternoon re-touch required, but does come off on contact with tissues etc. I didn't need ... MoreI have used this new tinted dry oil serum for several days now, and I'd definitely recommend it if you love the summer fresh skin no make-up look. It has surprisingly good staying power, no afternoon re-touch required, but does come off on contact with tissues etc. I didn't need concealer, except for those pesky dark under-eye circles, and I use 3-4 drops to get a regular medium weight foundation coverage. The application method took a bit of getting used to, and on the first day it pilled my usual base (extra firming phyto serum), but is fine either on its own or applied immediately afterwards. I found that the best application was using fingers, as the sponge absorbed a lot of product and a brush took simply ages to blend without residual streaks. The oil texture does not make my t-zone any shinier, and it takes well to powder over the top, even without blotting. If you've used mineral foundation before, it is similar in that it can sit in the pores if I don't blend well. Overall I think it's very different to my usual (and Clarins' other formulations) but a lovely innovation especially for the summer!

Oleo clarins serum
20 September 2023

This new product I like but I feel it's more like a foundation. The coverage is buildable and I usually use one application for light not going anywhere days and 2 for going out.The shade range is a bit tricky in my opinion as I had to go for 01 the lightest shade which isn't that light so I wouldn't purchase on line .My skin tone for ref light neutral undertones. It gives a glow and looks healthy which is what I go for these days .The price is a bit experience nearly ÂŁ39.99 I purchased in store.Would I purchase again probably as it has skin care built in.Overall a good product I like clarins.Just to mention there is a scent in there it does go away but at first it was over powering if you Dont like fragrance then it's probably going to anoy.

One drop was plenty
18 August 2023

Only received this tinted oleo-serum today and was excited to try it out. I have grey hair and pale skin and purchased shade 2. Have found 1 drop was plenty to give me the light coverage I want with a gentle healthy glow, without looking made up! I just apply with my fingers.Dries on the skin nicely without drying the skin out!I use the original Double Serum daily and have found that this Oleo-serum pilled on application. Also the fragrance is rather odd and very strong, would prefer this to be fragrance free

Really wanted this to be my new go-to
17 September 2023

Having used Clarins products for over a decade, from skin perfectors to skin illusion hydrating foundation... not to mention, how much I swear by their moisturisers, having progressed through their entire range as my skin has changed with dare I say, age. I had really high expectations for the new Tinted Oleo Serum, hoping it would be a contender for my all time favourite Trinny Skin Perfector. Sadly, I found the shade 02 of the Oleo Serum really more like a pale ivory on my skin, and very chalky feeling. It did enhance the complexion in places but did not for me in any way, even out my skin tone or feel like it was hydrating. Tried varying the amount of drops I use, but this product does not sit well on my skin, and actually made it feel drier... maybe that's just ... MoreHaving used Clarins products for over a decade, from skin perfectors to skin illusion hydrating foundation... not to mention, how much I swear by their moisturisers, having progressed through their entire range as my skin has changed with dare I say, age. My advice would be to try a sample first before taking the plunge and buying.

Serum with coverage
18 September 2023

I didn’t really expect this serum to have much coverage but I was wrong! It doesn’t have the feel of a typical serum and is quite a runny texture. However it has good coverage and is very lightweight on the skin. Ideal for those days when you just want a light touch of makeup. It also seems to have good lasting qualities as I haven’t felt the need to top it up when using. I was also lucky with the shade choice as the guidance on the web site for that was non existent. I would buy it again.

Very Disappointed.
23 September 2023

I bought the tinted Oleo Serum recently and have been very disappointed with it. Initially it was difficult to access information as to how it ought to be applied most serums are to be used under a moisturiser and I needed to trawl through a few independent youtube videos to ascertain that this should be applied over a moisturiser. As it is being marketed as a skincare product for daytime, why is there no SPF? Ditto for the Moisture Re -Boost Hydrating Cream which I purchased a week beforehand. I have mature skin with some fine lines around the mouth area. The Oleo Serum's powdery finish emphasised these gaving an aged appearance to my skin which never happens with my usual tinted moisturisers. It is probably a great product for slightly oily skin due to it's matte ... MoreI bought the tinted Oleo Serum recently and have been very disappointed with it. It is probably a great product for slightly oily skin due to it's matte finish, but it's definately not 'dewy' as the Google banner promotions have been describing it. Clarins need to give more honest guidance on which types of skin and age group that their skincare products are best suited to. Also clear instructions on their application methods.I bought the Re- Boost Hydrating Cream after using a sample which I'd liked, the ingredients on sample sizes are too often small to read without a magnifying glass and I'd not have purchased it if I'd known there was no SPF. The Oleo Serum is however, probably one of the most disappointing online purchases I've ever made.

Wouldn't recommend - awful finish when applied.
13 September 2023

Really not great - I went in for tinted moisturiser and this was recommended by the sales rep. It was fine on the back of my hand in the shop but on applied to my face its grainy and just sites in my pores. Looks awful. I've tried it with different primers, tried with a sponge applicator, a brush and my fingers, warming the product as advised but the end result is the same. Waste of money. It's going in the bin.
