Best toy ever.

My Miniature American Shepherd loves these. It’s the best dog frisbee I’ve found. Soft enough for them to catch without hurting their mouth and heavy enough that you can sling it a pretty long way. It’s not a chew toy, nor does it stand up well to tug-o-war, but that’s not what’s it’s made for. If your dog is one like mine, who likes to play tug-o-war after they retrieve a toy, make sure you work with them on dropping it. I will say that the smaller version does not throw well. It tends to curve bad to the left if you try to throw it hard or far. It’s good for short and slow throws, but that’s it.

Awwww...I am so sorry to say that this didn't hold up to my overall experience with Chuckit! I love, love, love their products because my pups have so much fun. This unfortunately did not survive 15 minutes. After a few minutes of playing fetch it became a "nah I'm gonna keep this" and the destruction began. It's cloth like fabric was destroyed around the rim and stitching immediately and became a fun activity between 2 pups and myself to whom can get it from whom the fastest. Is cute and does glide in the air quite well but if you have chewers this is not something I recommend.

Our god loves this toy. He's (now) a 75LB lab and runs and catches this thing. If you let him, he will chew at it and has managed to rip it some. It is still useable, but we know not to let him be alone with it or he will tear it to pieces. He does like to play tug-o-war with it too and that probably rips it some as well. This review is written on the one we purchased elseware, but it is the exact same product. We have had it for about 4 months and to be honest most of the tearing happened when he still had baby teeth. We bought 2 more from Chewy because he loves this to so much we have them at the ready or for when we travel he will have a fun toy to play with.

Great flight, not great durability
6 May 2022

Our pooch is a pretty gentle mouthed dog and this frisbee got trashed pretty quickly (first day). Our gentle mouthed beast does shake the frisbee and occasionally tug it for sure. The outside circle of the frisbee is a floaty kind of material that cracked. We've had it about 2-3 weeks and it is now cracked in 3 places and the center fabric is torn in one place. However, the GREAT NEWS is that it is still AWESOME in flight. Despite all that damage, it still throws very well and we are in no hurry to replace it. It does float. Very light weight. Any beast that is harder on toys will shred this frisbee in seconds. But for a gentle mouthed dog who can quickly be encouraged not to tug, it's a worthwhile purchase.

Great for frisbee fanatics!
28 June 2022

My border/heeler plays frisbee for hours every day. Seriously! I would not risk damaging her teeth with a cheap frisbee. Yes, this frisbee can be chewed up pretty easily if a dog is allowed to do so, but the soft outer ring protects canines from injury. My dog has been taught that frisbees are not chew toys, so she gets months of play from one. (The roughest use is when another dog at the local dog park tries to wrest it from her mouth.) She also loves her Chuckit flying squirrel as well as Chuckit balls & launcher.

Great light flyer, easy on the teeth

I got this since I’m not a fan of hard plastic frisbees and our Kong frisbee, while durable, is really best for distance throwing since it’s weight requires really winging it. Also I wanted something for water fetch because the dogs love to steal sticks and they tend to inhale water when swimming with a large ball. Anyway this thing is perfect. We have a relatively small yard and this frisbee gets tons of hang time, making it easier for our collie to get under and grab. Bonus is we get some sweet jumps out of her so she looks super athletic (silly I know but there is something so smile inducing about a spectacular frisbee save, all feet off the ground). So discourage your dogs from playing tug with this toy as it will tear. This frisbee has one job: to fly and be caught. It’s very good at this but won’t withstand post catch victory chews or thievery between dogs. If indestructible is what you need, go Kong, but for lightweight fun, this is where it’s at.

I can't imagine a world without the Chuckit! Paraflight Flyers

Our Belgian Malinois (19 Months) loves this soft frisbee. I'm a big fan because the material is soft and has not caused any damage to her gums after repeated catches. She will likely catch this frisbee in the air approximately 20 - 30 times per day. As a puppy we tried balls, hard plastic frisbees and she had no interest at all in retrieving. I originally started out with the Medium Chuckit! Zipflight when she was about 4 months old. The Medium Zipflight is a more durable design but is more difficult to consistently toss where it gives a dog the chance to catch in the air. Our young Malinois would dive for the Zipflight and catch it while rolling over but would always seem to come up with the Frisbee at the end. Our young Malinois would dive for the Zipflight and catch it while rolling over but would always seem to come up with the Frisbee at the end. The fact that it was durable made it a great way to play tug-of-war with her. I decided to try the Large Paraflight Max Glow Dog Toy and while some of the reviews address the durability (granted some dogs will destroy this item within a few minutes) but I will tell you that I have been using the same frisbee for over 3 months (average life expectancy from my experience is 2- 3 months) and while I don't play tug-of-war with this item our Malinois (See Picture) does not chew on this frisbee. I stocked up and order over 25 of the Paraflights because she loves it so much and I can't imagine a world and specifically "My Dog's Life" without this frisbee. Also, this frisbee can easily travel 30 - 50 yards and floats and hangs in the air and that is when she puts on a show for all to see as she jumps in the air to catch it with amazing grace and poise. Tip # 1: Sometimes I wet the frisbee with water to add a little more weight to increase the traveling distance. Another Tip # 2: Cutting the Tags off helps with a better flight. On behalf of our Belgian Malinois Shepherd she is giving this item 4 PAWS UP!

Most Poorly Made Frisbee
2 March 2022

These frisbees are the most poorly made frisbee on the planet. I can't even begin to tell you how much money I have spent on them. If I did not have such an OCD dog who refuses to play with anything else, I would quit buying them. I have tried to purchase other Chuckit! frisbees with a similar color pattern, and he just does not fall for it. They start to rip at the seams almost immediately, and you can forget any type of tug-o-war action on these. You get orange strings and foam pieces all over your yard. They are horrible, and for the price, you are just throwing money away.

Our indoor frisbee
15 January 2023

Our border collie's main job is catching frisbees outside several times a day. For that we use different brand of frisbee. But when it's not possible to go outdoors we use the small size Chuckit frisbee inside. This is perfect for short little throws. It is so light that you can throw it a couple of feet and it still flies nicely and won't break anything. It keeps her endlessly entertained while we don't have to go outside. It probably doesn't deserve 5 stars because we have to replace it often. We do play tug with it between throws and it doesn't stand up to that type of wear for as long as we'd like. But we can't live without it.

great frisbee for the right dog
24 August 2021

I have ordered these frisbees continually for the past 2-3 years. For my dog it is the perfect frisbee. I have a puggle, half beagle and half pug, but he is big for the breed (19" tall and 42 lb.s w very little fat). Before he hit the age of 10 we would throw this frisbee on the golf course behind our house. He literally would do 30 long throws in the summer and 50 or more in the winter in one session. This frisbee is great but will not last more than 3 months or so for my dog (he shakes it a little bit like a wild animal) but he doesn't generally try to tear it up. He catches the frisbee on a long fly and retrieves it perfectly and drops it at my feet. This one is soft and still can be thrown a LONG way. Even as it starts to get chewed up near the end of its life it can still fly 100 ft. fairly easily. We play frisbee daily without missing, and this is by far the best frisbee for my dog--considering safety (wear on mouth) and flight capability. I have 3 other different brands sitting basically unused on my shelf, because this one is the best for my dog. Easy on the mouth, easy to catch and throw, and flies a great distance.
