Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder - 4 Deep - 8g

This setting powder really blurs pores and texture. I use it to set up my makeup and it works beautifully. It doesn’t look cakey or too dry/powdery. I also used it for touch-up’s and it’s good. It absorbs oil. The texture is velvety and it brightens my under eyes. The only down side is the price, it’s too expensive and even if it’s a great powder I think you can find cheaper alternatives that do the same. And it doesn’t help creasing as well but overall, I like how it brightens, blurs and has a beautiful finish. My skin still looks radiant, not too matte and of course not greasy ! I got the shade Fair which works nicely for my complexion.

I also do my makeup on the go often so pressed powder is a must for me. Some of my favorites are Clinique Redness Solutions, Tarte Shape Tape Glow Powder, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, and Too Faced It’s Bananas Powder. My biggest problem with pressed powder is if they shatter on me. I am not above repressing my powder but it’s not the ideal situation. I have combination, fair skin. The denser the brush with this will give you more coverage, but also can give you more cake. This powder gives an immediate and more drastic soft focus effect than most powder. It’s also immediately mattifying. It has a luminous finish, but really soaks up oil immediately and throughout the day. It’s like a finishing powder that truly sets makeup at the same time. As long as the brush is fluffy enough it’s a great under eye setting powder. I would make certain that you are sufficiently mCCoisturized under makeup to avoid any dry skin feeling or appearance. Really, for all the powder I have claiming to deliver a soft focus finish, this one truly does that. I have to note, though, that this powder does darken my other base products by about half a shade. I try to pair this with my fairest foundation and concealer. It’s true, the product amount is tiny in relation to price and other similar product amounts. But, if you have some extra change lying around, and you are committed to a soft focus finish and a boujee experience, this is your powder.

I had a chance to trade some makeup with a great person on Instagram and she offered to trade her powder for a loose powder that I had. I prefer pressed powder to set my concealer. It just works better for me and isn't as drying under my eyes. This powder blurs the skin like no other powder I've tried. It makes my skin look completely smooth and flawless. Its so soft and looks amazing but it also helps with keeping oil under control and sets foundation and concealer in place to last all day. There's only one other pressed powder that I've tried that comes close to this one and its the rimmel stay matte pressed powder but the difference is its much heavier and thicker. Not as comfortable and skin like as the Charlotte tilbury powder. I would recommend this product highly! Its very good and lives up to its claims and all the hype around it. It is pricey but after using it I feel its worth it especially as a treat to use on special occasions.

I personally don’t use this as a setting powder because I prefer to use translucent loose powders for that purpose. However, this is the perfect finishing powder. It smooths away your pores and can be applied in multiple layers without getting cakey or dry. It takes away the perfect amount of shine but still maintains a glow, which I think is essential for a finishing powder. It’s not shiny by any means, but my point is just that it’s not overly mattifying. It’s the perfect thing to use when your makeup is just not looking right: too shiny? Use the powder. Too textured? Use the powder. Too much blush? Use the powder to blend it out.

NOT A REFILL - NO WAY TO DO IT!

OK, am all about trying to recycle when possible so this REFILL seems like a good idea, right? WRONG! Just got it and tried to remove the existing insert from the compact. IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish without destroying the plastic housing holding the used one. Tried popping it out. No success. Used a razor blade to gently pry it away. Nope. Used a thin screwdriver to pry it out. No way! Finally, used a tiny surgical stat to pull it away and, of course, that was unsuccessful!! What gives with this brand, which is one of my favorites?! PLEASE, Charlotte Tilbury, don't produce unusable products unless you have practically attempted to use them.
