I actually have dry skin areas and although this foundation is apparently more suited to oily skin I actually get on really well with it. I have suffered for a few months with quite a red complexion across nose and cheeks and have found this difficult to fully cover with my usual foundation and concealer however the le teint velvet works really well disguising this.I have not found the foundation drying at all and think this will become a favourite of mine.

The Chanel associate that helped me at the Pacific Palisades location told me that this is often used in photo shoots and red carpet events. Apparently a lot of celebrity makeup artists have this in their arsenal because it produces wonderful results! I’ve used this for a casual wear photo shoot as well and it really does look wonderful in pictures. It looks natural in the sun light. It doesn’t look cakey either. This baby will last you a very long time! The formula of the foundation is pleasant, it is not very liquid, but a few drops are distributed over a large area. You can layer it if necessary. Its coverage is 1000% - thin, but it will cover everything! It's not called tint for nothing. Very durable! It doesn’t leak, doesn’t move, doesn’t get greasy even in the heat of summer. It's absolutely my go-to foundation. I have been using this for the past five years. Light, velvety coverage that you can build on. It’s perfect if you apply only on some areas or a very layer as I do. What I love the most is the variety of shades in this product that are a true match to your skin. Definitely go to a counter to be matched by a Chanel consultant before buying.
I’ve used this for years! It has gone up in price which is discouraging but unlike other products you won’t need a lot which makes it last longer. It gives smooth glide on coverage but doesn’t feel caked on my skin even after long hours of wearing it. I have an olive tone, slightly tanned Asian combination skin and I use B40.

Love the velvet feel! I was thrilled to see it is back in my shade again. This is my go to in the summer time. It is light weight but pretty. Doesn't feel or look shiny. If you want more coverage you need to apply more. Love everything about it.....SPF, and packaging, dispenser, but took off one star for not being available for long period of times. Please keep this. I had to try the les beige and it's not as silky. Was way too thick.
This foundation is my Holy grail. When I wear it, I receive complements that my skin is so “radiant” and “perfect”; when, in actuality, my skin is splotchy, I have large pores, discoloration and fine lines. The Chanelfoundation blurs imperfects, goes on so smoothly— your skin will love it. The finished productions flawless( I often don’t even wear powder on top. It was discontinued for a while (?) and I tried many high end foundations, only to be disappointed. They weren’t bad; they just weren’t Le Tint Velvet by Chanel. It’s pricey but you don’t need much, so it lasts quite a while. I highly recommend.
