You press down gently and just the right amount of the cream appears through a hole and you simply wipe it up with your fingers. I've been slowly incorporating this Retinol + HPR cream into my skin care routine per Elizabeth Arden's instructions. You need to build up to using retinol on a regular basis. As someone with somewhat sensitive skin, I have been careful to not rush this process and am now up to using 3 times a week. I have had zero signs of irritation - no dryness no redness - it's been great! It is a press bottle and one press provides ample product for use. It applies easily and goes on sheer with no cast or no weird residue. Now when I apply, I see an instant improvement in my skin after applying - my skin looks a bit brighter, feels a bit more firm and just looks better! I was surprised how little of this cream you use as it’s a pre-measured dose. I concentrated around my forehead and outer eye area where my main concerns are and then gradually lightly spread the remainder around my face and under my jawline. I’ve used it every morning and evening for two weeks without any irritation whatsoever which is most unusual for me as every retinoids I have tried so far has caused peeling and redness before. I’ve noticed around my eyes after a few days that the lines were less noticeable. The most improvement I’ve seen however is that my skin feels really soft which I assume is caused by quicker cell turnover. I haven’t seen any improvement in pigmentation or how obvious my pores are but we’ll see how this goes.
