Love this version - Its different than any other because you dont need VPs to win! Instead you are settling and transporting goods all over the place. I love that the board has a special place for your pieces, and that gameplay is quite different from the original catans.

This game is really interesting, keeps you wanting to play it and never gets you bored. Even though it is kind of similar to the other ones, the feeling it gives to you is special. Is is harder for children to play it, but as soon as they get the hang of it they enjoy it a lot.

Four hours total. What an intense, fun game though! It took awhile to learn and understand the game but after about 1.5hrs we finally understood what we were doing! The instructions aren’t completely clear and there aren’t many players out there to ask google.

I love Settlers of America! It’s actually one of my favorite board games! It is similar to the original Catan but so much better! This game has an added difficulty and I love that! It is so worth the price and will be enjoyed every time you play!
Has different rules than the original Catan. Bought as a present for a friend who loves American history and Catan mostly because I thought the tiles being shaped as the US was cool, but rules seem more complicated.

In our first game as a family this couldn't be further from the truth. Our game came down to the final turn and all four players were within striking distance of the win. We rarely had a Catan game end so close; especially with the Expansion games. The game design is very clever and we found the early leaders were not the eventual winners. Although the game will not have the continued randomness available with Catan, we certainly have not figured out a fail-safe strategy yet. It was a longer game than the original, so be prepared. Catan Histories: Settlers of America - Trails to Rails is a very fun game! It came in perfect condition and although it is different from the original version, it was easy to learn. Thank you for this great game!
We got this for my Dad for Christmas. We've only played it once, but we all enjoyed it and are looking forward to playing it again. It is a VERY different version of Cattan, this is not a simple expansion or small change, but we really enjoyed all the difference. It is a longer game, especially the first time you play it.
A fun edition to our Catan collection.Arrived in only two days. Amazon would have taken a week!
Very good game for strategic thinkers. Highly competitive and multi dimensioned. Not for serial thinkers. Not for mentally lazy thinkers.
