I was concerned when I didn't see a second hand on the pictures. However, it has the seconds in digital, so it's a combination of digital and analog. Genius. Also, it's solar powered to top it off. Great purchase!!

I have had my new Casio G-Shock G-Steel GST-S100G-1A watch for about a week and really like it. Although bigger than I anticipated, it meets and exceeds all of my expectations. I was looking for a replacement of a 7 year old Casio G-Shock G-1500B-5AD watch that got damaged by a spinning winch handle under a 200 lb. load. Being a tough G-Steel watch, the old watch saved my wrist from serious injury. It still keeps excellent time, but has lost its water resistance and the top steel frame came off a few days ago. I was able to put it back on, but it will never be the same. What an endorsement for these Casio watches however. I love this watch! I have been wanting a nicer watch to replace my old Timex Ironman. My wife bought me this yesterday on Black Friday and couldn't wait until Christmas to give it to me because she knew how much I would love it. My main concern when asking her to buy this watch was the operation in the dark. Turns out, those concerns were silly, as this watch performs beautifully in the dark. The hands glow bright without the light button, and when the light button is depressed, the whole face shows up great! I wanted a multi-function watch with a little flash, and this watch does not disappoint!
This is the 1st solar G-Shock watch I've owned. I love the green illumination of the hour and minute hand. It's both digital and analog. The lights go on for 3secs and displays a bright led enough to view the time at night. You have to charge it from any source of light, since it's a solar watch. I'm still getting to know more about its functionality. All the same, it's a good watch. If you're looking for a watch that's stylish & luxurious that won't break the bank, this is it.

My wife gifted me this time piece for my birthday and it’s a great watch! It’s big but not heavy and it’s a high quality Casio. It’s not like the lower end Casio watches, in my opinion the materials used to create this watch look like that of high end watch brand. It’s very easy to set up, the led light is surprisingly bright and the best part is that it’s powered by light! It can be worn for any occasion and it’s definitely worth the money. I’ll purchase this again if I have to.
This watch looks tuff and looks like it will take a little abuse. I purchased this watch because I do a lot of work outside around water a sweat a lot. So far it is working like a champ. Also it is solar powered so you don’t have to worry about replacing battery.
