Overall great product. The pack that the reservoir sits in is light with strong material. Some extra storage for things kids may want to pack along for the hike (ie snacks). The one thing we were a little disappointed in was the connection between the hose and the reservoir and the connection between the hose and the mouthpiece. Out of the box, the hose seemed overstretched and fell off the reservoir connection piece with little pull (same with the hose and mouthpiece). This caused lots of leaking - almost seems like it needed a new hose from the start.

We bought two of these because our two very active kids always make us carry their water bottles. The backpacks are fun and simple enough for our 5 & 7 yr old to use. They have two zipper pockets and an expandable outside pocket perfect for carrying a little camp towel.Unfortunately, the other reviews are correct. They leaks pretty badly. Both leaked the first time we filled them. The leak, for us, is where the tube connects to the bladder. The rubber tubes are just a little too loose and it allows water to slowly drip out, but drips faster under pressure.I implemented a simple fix by using some small zip ties to tighten up the connection spot. I am not sure if this is a known fix or not, but the time being, it seems to have fixed our issue. We will put it through its paces this summer. All in all, I would say if you're willing to use a zip tie, then it's a good product. But it's hard for me to fully recommend it without that caveat because you shouldn't have to immediately repair a new product. It will be a pain to clean the tube because we will have to carefully cut the ties to try and avoid damaging the tube... not ideal. And with all that said, I am not even positive the fix will last.

I got this for shorter mtn bike days - yes, it's supposed to be for kids, but it fits anyone hah. It's nice to have a smaller water option instead of taking a huge pack where your entire back gets sweaty.

I bought this 2 weeks ago for my son. Upon removing the packaging tags and nozzle covers, I noticed that the tube which connects to the reservoir and nozzle were loose. So when I filled the reservoir with water, and put it back inside the bag, the loose tube started leaking and wet half of the bag and behind my sonβs shirt. We lost half of the water, good thing i brought in a tie straps and strapped the bottom and nozzle connections to stop it from leaking.
Bought two of these bags. This design and another one so my kids can wear them while biking. turns out they love being able to drink water from the camelbak so they take it everywhere we go. It has room for their snacks and a spot to hold a light jacket. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the camelbak is cumbersome to attach to the loop holder on one of the bags. Maybe one of the bags is slightly off. Either way, I would definitely recommend this bag because the kids can carry their own water supply while keeping their hands free.
My son has an older version of this and it drips water every now and then. This one is amazing with the water flow on/off switch. It never loses a drop. I also like that it has multiple pockets and a clip to attach keys. Great product and not too heavy for small ones to kick around. Excellent!!
I loved this little pack for my daughter (3 when we got it, now 5yo) and got one for my son (3) this Christmas. It carries a small snack and a small to medium sized toy/transitional object, and more than enough water for any adventure a child this size would be undertaking.Word of advice, pay attention to loading on the younger hikers. The 4 to 5 lbs of water is enough to tire a kid out, and unless you're out a long time, they likely will not drink that much.
This product is amazing, for a child. I bought this because of its compactness. The associate did not tell me it was for a kid. That being said, my son now has a camelpak now and loves it. The 1.5 liters is enough to keep him hydrated and doesnβt weigh too much. Plus the little pouch is big enough for all the rocks and leaves to stash away along the way.
My daughter loves her camelbak. We purchased this to take with us on our hiking trips and she loves being able to carry it and stay hydrated at the same time. It has definitely saved us time since we don't have to stop and wait for her to drink from her water bottle anymore.
I took my young niece on a hike and water leaked all down her back throughout the hike. She ended up drinking from my hydration pack because there wasn't enough of her own water left. We took the bladder out to do some testing and found that there was a seal that was defective. I have returned it. Might have been a one-off problem, but I will not be exchanging it for the same model.
