For all the newbies out there ( or if you have been living under a rock for the past 30 years) let me tell you something about this perfume. Way before all the gender fluidity/pronouns, etc. there was a company named Calvin Klein that launched a risky, daring and provocative new fragrance. Ck one. The ads portrayed all types of people, all skin tones, body shapes, male, female, androgynous, etc. it was a breakthrough. So, yes, this fragrance earned its iconic status. Back to the fragrance. It’s unisex, citrus opening, clean, easy to wear, mostly for daytime and good for work. The notes are citrus, green, musk, light woods, a bit of violet leaves, orris root.

I bought this product after seeing it in Walgreens. I have thick naturally curly hair that tends to end up dry a bit frizzy. First time using any product is always trial error. First time I used it, I errored big time. Lol. I put it on my hair while still soaking wet didn't use my usual keratin oil I normally use when wearing my hair naturally curly. (I straighten my hair most of the time-just easier to deal with) Ended up kinda crunchy stiff. I knew immediately I had used to much product. So I used my water bottle, re-wet it a bit used my towel to squeeze some of the product out. Next time I used it, i squeeze dried my hair more, placed my oil on my hair waited a while then spritzed my hair with the Beach Babe. This is my ultimate happy perfume. It makes me feel pretty, feminine and joyous! My taste in perfumes is mainly into florals and I dislike musks and super fruity perfumes. I also do not like sporty spicy scents. So being a firmly floral person, this is my absolute favourite. It is one of those pretty smells which just makes you feel nice, pretty and cheerful. It isnt too girly or too womanly so goes with any age group- I would put it more as a Sweet Feminine scent. I don't know if this would make sense, but this is what I would imagine a Virgo woman or a Pisces woman to wear- maybe an Aries, Cancer, Libra or a Capricorn on occasion too. Naturally I was drawn to the words “free” and “perfume”. So I pounced onto the website, abandoning my assignments. I purchased several items and this perfume came too (of course you had to spend over £20). The packaging is sleek, slim and simple. Nothing overly fancy, which resonates with the brand. The bottle itself has this matte feel to it, reminds me of those olden days alcohol bottles. I remember having this down as a contender during Christmas, but then I opted for the Diesel perfume. I wasn’t aware the CK perfume had this separate spraying nozzle. From my experience these tend to be really flimsy after a few uses. I’ve been wearing this fragrance for the past 3 years I even bought a CK be deodorant (not exactly the same scents and it definitely did not last long I do not recommend it). It has a really green and botanical smell and the wooden aromas like sandalwood and cedar which actually consist the base of the fragrance are really discreet (in a good way). What mostly stands out are levander and Pergamon but you can also smell floral scents such as jasmine and magnolia. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long and the smell on my skin weakens really fast so I usually spray it on my cloths (doesn’t make a big difference and sometimes the scents get mixed). Calvin Klein CK One was the bomb when I started wearing it in my younger years. For reference I’m in my Thirty’s. Like you weren’t cool if you didn’t wear it. It’s a little masculine in my opinion but beautiful. It’s a youthful, fun fragrance that reminds me of my youth. I can’t count the number of bottles of this I purchased. I still purchase CK fragrances to this day. I currently have the Eternity for women but plan on purchasing more CK 1 now that it’s been brought up. It’s a really good fragrance that I recommend.

I love the CK One bottle perfume, so I decided to try this. Smell is identical and not overpowering. It’s a noticeably lighter than the bottle perfume. Smells like oranges/citrus and little woody to me. Not sure how long it lasts because it can’t really be smelled unless you’re directly sniffing or close to wear it’s sprayed.
