I came across Byredo on insta with the popular scent "Gypsy Water" being posted a lot. I tried that one (and the rest of the collection) but SLOW DANCE is definitely my favourite. It's a warm scent and lasts for ages. I'm female but my partner loves it too so it can be worn by anyone. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, romantic, long fragrance. I received this fragrance as a sample and decided to make it a fragrance for a week. I fell in love with him this week. It is not as long lasting as the veil line and needs to be reapplied throughout the day. But at the same time, it will make it beautiful, I feel notes of violet and vanilla, smoky notes, it is very romantic and attractive. I recommend.

I love the scent of this perfume. I usually ware a lot of heavy perfumes, ones that are heady and sweet. This is the first perfume I've had in a long time that is clean, light and refreshing. It works on my skin without any overbearing or overpowering smells and I get so many compliments on it when I wear it!

This is an interesting scent, I get the amber, vanilla, cognac and violet notes. It gets sweeter as it dies down. If you like bibliotheque by byredo you would like this, it's a similar smoky, sweet scent but without the fruit. It's a scent you would wear in Autumn/Winter. It's not for me in general, smoky scents give me a headache but I can appreciate it is nice.
I've been using Slow Dance for about 3 months now and it's really become my signature scent. I get compliments on it all the time and I love how long-lasting the scent is. It smells like a mix between vanilla, jasmine, and musk in my opinion. Definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants that classic woman smell!
My all time favourite perfume. I’ve never smelt anything that comes close to this or that could be copied. It’s sweet warm and lasts forever. This is my third bottle now and I will continue to buy this. I very thing about feels special. The packaging is gorgeous too!!
Quite a sweet, warm spicy perfume with amber, vanilla and woody notes, slightly incense-like. I tend to like these more heady perfumes but I this is just a touch on the sweeter, vanilla side for me. Still, a nice, cosy scent for cooler evenings. Lasting power pretty decent on my skin.
I tried a sample of this in one of the London Space NK stores and I’m glad I did as this is way too sweet and too vanilla for me. I love the Byredo perfumes and make up but this one just wasn’t for me. As usual lovely packaging from a quality brand but I won’t be purchasing this one. It would be great is Space NK did samples of Byredo perfumes as they are not cheap and an expensive mistake to purchase without trying a sample.
For context, I'm a Byredo enthusiast and enjoy 1996, Black Saffron and Bibliotheque- the deeper and more leathery/patchouli based scents. When I saw the notes for Slow Dance I was excited, however when I first wore it, I wasn't sure that I loved it. After a few wears, I was in love and have found myself wearing it daily. The blend of notes is interesting and the way it develops is a bit like a polaroid photo: at first it is a bit confusing (strong, balsamic and booze-filled all at once, a bit of a punch in the nose!). Then it starts to soften and the floral notes materialise (violet, geranium). Finally as it settles the warm vanilla and patchouli base bring it all together and it makes sense.This is now my absolute favourite Byredo scent and I quite a few! It ... When I received my sample and spritzed it straight away, my immediate reaction was that I didn't like it at all. However, being a Byredo addict (for ref; Black Saffron, Oud Immortel; Super Cedar, Mojave Ghost; Rose of No Mans Land) I gave it another chance, and by spritzing first thing the following day, I could appreciate it was more complex than I'd initially given it credit. Although the sweet vanilla is dominant, there's also a smokiness along with the patchouli. I was constantly drawn to it for the next couple of hours, which I think is testament to the clever and well-balanced facets of a Byredo fragrance. However, this one is not for me at all, but sweet vanilla & patchouli lovers may adore this one.
