High quality msm, at a great price. It mixes well with water and dissolves completely. Received in top shape and shipped in a timely manner. My zipper bag has held well. The trick is to make sure contents are below the zipper well, and open it carefully by tearing the top off. Then only open it while grasping the inner top of zipper plastic while opening every time. At the good price even if you were to transfer it to a mason jar it is still a good deal. I have been using BS now for a few months for several different supplements and the zipper trick works. Also very fine powders may be cleaned out of the zipper easily with a toothpick. I like that bulk supplements doesn't add fillers except for some that must have a small amount to keep it useable. (Interestingly, copper and candida have a correlation.) At nearly two weeks since starting the MSM, I have not tried taking 1000 mg in a single dose again, but have kept it to 500 mg at one time. While I suppose it would be good in scientific terms to try the higher single dose again to be sure of the anxiety effect, in personal terms I really don't like dealing with those bouts of anxiety and so am content to stay at the lower single dose rather than possibly bring on the anxiety again.I intend to continue with this MSM powder, but at a low dose that my body can handle. Name brands that are monitored carefully by the coop owners.I currently use about 1 Tbsp a day in my morning green tea sweetened with Stevia. For me, MSM has a bitter after taste. I wouldn't want to drink it in plain water, or without something to overcome the bitterness. Stevia has become my sweetener of choice because it does cover the bitterness better than any other sweetener I have tried with the MSM. This is a product that I have used daily for at least 10 years. So the quality of the product is of concern to me.My reviewThe price was the factor for which I had ordered it.As far as I can tell, it looks and tastes and dissolves exactly like the name brands I have used. Though that is not, unfortunately, a good measuring stick.It arrived on time and was packaged adequately. And of course, I ordered the one-kilogram bag.What went into this review.I usually start with 1-star reviews and work my back up to 5 stars. 1 and 2 stars can sometimes give a window on user problems, some time product quirks and of course flat out problems.If I get really curious, based on some kind of inconsistency in the reviews, I spend some time on the answered questions, though they can be tedious, and repetitious and show some laziness on the part of some the customers in not reading the descriptions.Myself, I overlooked the whole issue of where the product was actually manufactured, rather than from where it was distributed. My bad. Also, because I was used to the Health Food Coop doing my research for me.After going through the answered questions and added to the 1 and 2-star reviews, several issues come to the front for me;1. Some people reported strong, fish like odors to newly opened bags of Bulk powder. There were at least 2 to 3 and possibly more because I didn't cross reference the answered questions with the reviews. In 10 years I have never had MSM with a strong fishy order or any real odor that I can detect. Other people have reported odor but generally not unpleasant.2. Again some people reported a yellow color to the powder. At least 2 to 3 people. In 10 years the MSM I have used has always been pure white. Other users have also said that the MSM they have taken is pure white. All descriptions of the crystals or flakes are of pure white.3. At least one person reported that she switched to capsules and counted them and found that the order was short by about 10-12 capsules.4. Another person reported that some capsules in their order were empty.5. And this is important to me: in general, the distributors who only occasionally replied to customer reviews made no effort to reach out to customers who complained of what seemed to be quality issues to offer a refund or new order. They did reply to the issue of silicon dioxide. (Yes.though the packaging and the online description says no fillers. ) Yes to manufacturing in China, though label and online description makes no mention of this.6. Last I downloaded reviewMeta to see what it said about the reviews for this product. Basically, reviewMeta gave the REVIEWS on this product a pass. Remember that this is a pass on the probability that the reviews are authentic not on the quality of the product.Hmm. So where does that leave my review? The 2 points that caused me to drop my review to 4 stars were the issues of no fillers. (Yes, silicon dioxide). . And the omission of clearly stating where this was manufactured.I have given what I received a 4-star review. BUT its seems to me that the quality control here is not what it should be. Also that distributors are keeping as low a profile as possible.While the product that I received seems fine, and that there are a fair number of good reviews of others using this product, I will finish off this MSM. Based on everything, I will be ordering some other brand or going through my health food coop for my next MSM order.
