I have used a few different label makers in the past and have never been happy with them. I was interested to see if the Brother P-touch was any different. To put it to the test I made some labels, placed them on glass jars and placed them in different locations. My first location was the refrigerator. I was surprised to see that the label was still firmly in place after several days in the cold. The next was in a warm room. Never once did the label peel off. Third was in the dishwasher. It stayed out! These labels are amazing!The app to design and print the labels is very easy to use and navigate. I love all of the different designs that are available.I like how compact the machine is. It can be placed anywhere without taking up too much space.

This label maker is great for several reasons! There is little set up required, the templates are easy to navigate and the label prints instantly. I enjoyed the various images/borders as well as the handy scissors button you use to cut your label. So far I have used this product to label my kids toys, my home office and household supplies. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend!

This is a nice little tool to have around the house. Very easy to use - I simply downloaded the App on my iPhone and followed the instructions. Honestly, did not even really have to read the detailed instructions that came with the machine. Within about 2-4 minutes, I was printing off labels for my home office while watching TV. Nice packaging, easy to use and understand. Many different templates are available. I just created my own. You easily play around and adjust the fonts right from your phone. It has the nice `scissor` cut right on the machine. You hit the button and it provides a nice clean cut.I would recommend for any household or office.
The P-touch cube has been a great addition to my home office and in preparing my kids to go back to school.The ease of creating custom labels in the app cannot be compared. I love being able to preview the label as it will appear and select how many duplicates I need. I`ve created labels for file folders, supply bins and even labeled all my kids school supplies. It`s so speedy and concise.This set-up comes with a standard cartridge of black font on white labels.I looked up replacement cartridges since I see this becoming a staple item in our home and they are very reasonably priced.Great product.
Printer and phone app work pretty well, simple to set up. The tape that is supplied with the printer is probably about 3 feet long maximum, runs out fast! The BIG PROBLEM is confusion over which tape is a refill for this machine. I ordered 2 tapes with the printer, turns out they have the same model number, but different letters, so I have useless replacement tapes that wont work. For the price of this printer, it should come with a full tape. And you shouldn't have to be a detective to figure out what replacement tape to order. They really get you when you have to buy more tape, kind of like the ink for your printers. The replacement tape that I need is TZe231, not M-K231 which is a cassette of tape 1/2 the size of the proper one. As for the labels themselves, they ... Bought Brother P-Touch Cube as a bundle last November. Came with the wrong sized tapes (Sold as a bundle) The item went on-sale half price the next week. No exchange for the wrong sized tape because it was purchased online as a bundle. Wasted $50 between the P-Touch and the tape. Read the fine print. Went to Walmart specifically thinking the pricing would be fair. - Disappointed. Will by the carry case elsewhere.
I really enjoy using the Brother P-Touch Cube. I am a teacher and I am constantly making labels for my students` folders and for my personal files. This product is easy to set up and to use. My daughter loves using it for her own school supplies. The fact that it is portable and uses blue tooth is an added bonus. I am looking forward to using this label maker in my class this year.
This is a solid product and was easier to use than expected. Downloading the app was quick and easy, and I appreciated the step-by-step instructions for connecting to Bluetooth and getting started. I also like the compact and sleek design of the unit.The labels are clear and there are lots of options for font style, size and templates.The only thing that I have been challenged with is the length of the label. There seems to be a bit of extra tape that is wasted even when I adjusted the label length settings, but that could just be user error!So far, I`ve used my label maker to label food in the refrigerator, as well as to make custom labels for essential oil blends that I use in my home and give to friends!
I tried printing individual labels, then printing three without cutting. I was using 1/4 inch tape and there was about 1 inch of wasted tape between labels. Tape length was set to automatic. This is not what I would expect. It will be returned to Staples tomorrow as not a quality product. We have used many different labellers in our business and I wanted a simple one for our tech's in the field. Guess I need to keep looking.
