I wasn't expecting to test the waterproofing aspect of these shoes quite yet - it is summer after all. however, i found myself on a run during a long downpour - puddles quickly forming. Whilst the rest of me was drenched when I finished, my feet were not. These shoes are waterproof. Grip was good in the wet too. As I've previously worn Brooks Ghost 14, I was pleased that the waterproof version fitted just as well as the non-waterproof version. These ones are narrower, however as I have a narrow foot, it wasn't an issue for me.

After searching for a winter running shoe that would keep my feet both warm and dry on long, cold wet runs, I finally came across the Brooks Ghost 14 Gortex running shoe. It did everything it promised to. It kept my feet warm and dry while running in the rain and on wet road surfaces. Ran on both sealed surfaces and track/grassed surface. Grip was good and cushioning excellent 👍🏻 only problem I found was I may need to put insoles in to raise my ankle bone higher so as not to bump side of shoe, found the laces hard to get to stay done up no matter how tight I tied them but can easily replace them. Highly recommend, 👍🏻👍🏻

This is my 3rd pair in 2 months. So now I have these for the wetter weather when walking the dog and a dark navy pair and a white pair to alternate on whatever clothing I'm wearing. Tbf I had never heard of brooks running/walking shoes. BTW I don't run just walk as have severe arthritis in both knees. I was always a skechers go to person but not anymore.

Bought these not knowing how supportive & comfortable these shoes would be, but have worn Brooks many times & should have remembered how great they are for my feet. I workout 4-6 times per week which includes weight lifting & cardio. These are great for both. Also have plantar fasciitis & these help so much. I put supportive insoles in mine but they are still really good without them. Also Zulily had these at a great price, so very glad I purchased them. Wanted a color that went with all my workout outfits & these fit the bill.
The Ghosts 14 GTX womens runners are my favourite for comfort, durability, weatherproof. They fit my feet like a glove and remain comfortable and dry.I have always bought brooks ghosts but since purchasing the GTX a number of years ago I have only been purchasing the GTX since. I love returning from being in the wet weather with dry feet and knowing my runners will be dry the next day and ready to use again.

I'm slow, but just love being out there to clear my head so keep in mind this is a "low key slow runner" writing here, though I run a lot (25-30km a week, every week). Ghosts are MY FAVOURITE shoes. This is my third fall of buying the Gore-Tex ones every fall. They are not perfectly waterproof -- they won't keep your feet dry in a downpour -- but they are good for wet leaves and little splashes from small puddles. They are also a lot warmer than standard light running shoes, which is nice for fall and winter. Left foot surgery 2023. Long recovery with persisting tendinitis. Finally after spending HUNDREDS on Hokas, ASICS, New Balance, OnCloud, & Oofos…I tried another expensive shoe in these Brooks. This was the best price I found & with Zulily credit card I broke it down into 3 payments. I’m an RN working 12 hour shifts on these terrible feet. These sneakers have saved my feet. I use my custom orthotics in them. My feet haven’t been this happy in years. I did size up a half size & got wide so I knew the insoles would fit. Just like the ghost, but waterproof (not yet personally tested!) and a little more snug. I bought this for wet and cold weather runs in Tassie. So far I love them. I sized up 1/2 size, because my previous ghost fit normally. My husband did not size up, because his previous ghost were a bit roomier. We were both happy. So, I guess that's why some people size up and why some don't in the GTX models. I hope that helps!
Very comfortable and fit perfectly with orthotics. I needed a waterproof shoe for dog walks and bushwalks. This shoe was the only one I found that fitted like a glove for me. I can also wear at gym classes as it isn't too rigid like lots of bush walking shoes. If you do serious walking/running over rocks however I think these won't have enough grip. Not sure how waterproof the gore-tex is it doesn't feel like the gore-tex on other Brooks shoes, just feels like a regular runner, very comfortable.
Purchased this shoe because of the waterproof Goretex feature. It has been perfect for dog walking in wet grass. Can hose them off if dirty, (except where the laces are) The fit is great; lots of room for my toes to spread out properly. Fantastic support with great cushioning. Had to buy online as it’s not stocked in store where I live.
