Works exactly as advertised. Placing milk beneath the maximum fill line with a small amount of famous Edlyn milkshake flavours such as Banana, Blue Heaven or Strawberry (available at a few larger IGA supermarkets such as Barkly St, Footscray in three litre plastic bottles) means a delicious treat as part of one's breakfast. Myer had this Breville 'the Shake' in stock at a Melbourne store. Great value, and being stainless steel, easy to clean after use. Extra cups available through mail order from Breville's Botany, NSW head office. A leaflet inside explains how to get these.

This machine makes a nicely aerated milkshake, blending the milk, ice cream and topping quickly and evenly with its duel blades. It is very sturdy and well made. It looks good on the bench although the bubble print on the base lower the sophistication and give it a bit childish vibe. It is disappointing that it only comes with one cup. If you want more cups you have to order them and pay extra. Overall Im am very pleased with the quality and functionality of this milkshake maker and would recommend it.

I had a Breville milk shaker that made great milkshakes for over 20 years, that I bought some time in the late 90's. I bought the new one recently when my old one broke and I'm happy to see some improvements.The new dishwasher safe stainless steel cups are a welcome improvement over the old non-dishwasher safe aluminium cups they used to have. One of my old aluminium cups was mistakenly put in the dishwasher once and it ruined it, so I'm glad I won't have that problem again.The new cups are also bigger with the max fill line at 300mL, compared with the old cups that had the line at 250mL.But with this new new taller cup, the mixing blades are now positioned lower than they were on the old machine, so the cup doesn't fit under them without tilting. I have 2 Breville Milkshake makers. For us, (family members and work members), its a FRAPPE (iced frothed coffee) maker, which is used ALL day, EVERY day at home and at work. Ideal of course for the occasional milkshake. Very reliable.
What I love most about my milkshake mixer. The silver Crome, slimline looks great on my bench . It is there easy to use and clean. Just as good as the milkshake mixers in shops. Except better as you make the best thick-shakes in town to your liking. Great calcium for kids mums and dad. Price is great.
Yes, I can make milkshakes in my blender easily, but there is a bit of nostalgia involved in making them in a machine like this and then drinking them in the stainless steel cup. Plus the clean up is so much easier than with a blender - just wipe the agitator down with a cloth. It's quite a powerful little machine too - has easily done a shake with two big scoops of icecream...I'm testing to see how far I can get; tomorrow is four scoops (purely in the interest of testing and science, of course...) Takes up very little room on the bench too. Definitely a great product that does exactly what it is supposed to do, and looks so groovy, man in the kitchen!
The Shake Creation Milkshake Maker is simple to use, produces a perfect froth in less than a minute, and the Chrome finish makes it super easy to clean. It looks good in the kitchen and takes up very little space. Not only that, it brings back happy memories from when life was not so hectic. My children find it really easy to use, which is very handy when I am flat out doing other things, and it has got them drinking milk again.
Disappointing that it is not a full size tumbler. I own multi milkshake tumblers that can not be used as they are to big for this machine. It appears that Breville are cutting costs and making the unit smaller. I am disappointed as I purchased it online and it was not mentioned about the reduced size
Bought this the other day now the boys in my yard say my milkshakes are better than yours. No seriously, they’re really good. It mixes up quick and leaves a nice froth on top. It’s fairly easy to clean too. The cup is dishwasher safe which is always a plus.
