For this brand I expected so much more. The first one I ordered arrived with the plunder chipped, sent it back. The replacement one didn't have the steel edge at the bottom evenly crimped. I gave up and kept it. (Again for this brand they shouldn't have been defective.) Finally, when I got to use it I was frustrated because somehow coarse coffee grounds do float out from behind the filter. I have tried to trouble shoot this but it keeps happening. Coffee is correctly ground for a french press; water level is correct; I don't move the plunger once it's down; I make sure grounds don't stick to the rim when scooping it in--but still I drink grounds. :( On the flip side, the coffee stays very hot. Insulated but not heavy. Always re-buy it if I lose or break it but it’s taken some pretty heavy knocks. Glad Bodum still make it. A perfect classic cup. Seals well, looks pretty. Love the new colour range. Tapered shape good for smaller hands, some of the short, fat, ceramic cups are hard to hold.

I already have one of these, they are brilliant so bought one for my husband too. They keep liquid warm for a long time, a bit like having a mini flask. They don't leak when the lid is closed and they clean up really well in the dishwasher, no funny residual taste of tea or coffee. And not much plastic...! Will last for a long time so more sustainable than all-plastic travel mugs and great value for money..

I wanted a filter coffee maker to take on holidays in this country and abroad as I am fed up with just having instant coffee sachets in hotel rooms or having to buy expensive take aways. I honestly had no issues with this at all. As long as you only fill to within an inch of the top and keep the filter plunger up you just screw the lid on. Leave to brew and then press plunger and pour. I only used it in my room and poured into a mug. It could be taken outside and you can drink from the lid but obviously it will spill if tipped as it isn't a sealed unit. I am delighted with the quality and expect to be using this for years.
This is my fourth Boden Travel Mug. I love them but the flip open drinking seal isn't leak proof so be careful to stand the mug up when carrying it about. Good quality and keeps a hot drink warm enough for hours. Sadly the seal of the screw lid isn't long lasting so liquid starts to spill out between the lid and the main body when you try to drink out of the drinking spout. It isn't possible to screw the lid tighter without the lid starting to spin and the rubber band seal doesn't work.The size is great and fits every cup holder I have tried. It would be nice if Boden supplied a space rubber band seal so I can use the Travel Mug for longer.
I love the design and the functionality of this travel mug. It is also sold at a very decent price for how long it lasts. It keeps your tea (or coffee, etc.) hot for hours. The flip-top mouth piece is very easy to use and it also comes with a pop-out stirrer to stir your favourite drinks with on-the-go. The bottom gripper holds your drink securely in place whatever you set it on and the gripper in the middle of the mug is non-slip for sipping while you walk. I will probably continue buying these mugs, although, due to its excellent quality and durability, one or two should last a lifetime.
Purchased a red one to complement a purple one I have from 5 years ago. The purple one keeps drinks hot for 3 to 4 hours and remains cool to the touch on the outside. After receiving this red one (same design other than the band) it immediately feels warm to the touch and only keeps a drink hot for 2 hours. I set them both up with hot water and a thermometer inside to track the temperature drop and low and behold after one hour the red one is 10 degrees C cooler, 2 hours it is 15 degrees C cooler and after 4 hours it is nearly 20 degres C cooler than the purple one. After contacting Bodum support I am getting responses that it should not be this different. Good Points: Keeps drinks very hot ! Easy to clean!Improvement Points: I've had one of these travel cups for over 2 years and it's been brilliant , so I decided to buy myself a new one! What a nightmare! The manufactures have changed the rubber inside the lid to a thin ring which is just rubbish ! Within one day the lid would not stay on it just kept turning and the lid would not snap close so leaked every . ! I returned this item and found one with an old type lid which is great!

Well you kinda get what you pay for because if you upgrade to one of these Bodum Vacuum Travel mugs you'll never want another. They are certainly not cheap at nearly 14 but they "do exactly what is says on the tin".......which is where they are such good value. Excellent travel mug for hot and cold. I’ve ditched my smoothie cups and use these with a straw in it. Keeps drinks hot or cold for hours. Completely leak proof when closed, I often throw a cup of chai in my bag when going on an adventure and it’s hot and my bag is dry. The drinking latch is comfortable to drink from. I own three of these cups!!
