My girls love them. One is a Chihuahua the other a dachshund x pug, the stealing that goes on between them is testament to their enjoyment.

Pros: They are long lasting, durable, and my dog absolutely adored chewing, chasing, and playing find-it with them. She pretty much always had at least one hoof that she was chewing/playing with constantly.Massive con: Similar to others here, she ended up swallowing a large chunk that broke off and got lodged in her intestines and ended up needing emergency surgery. She's fine now, but the operation and recovery was very scary at the time.Verdict: Buy at your own risk and supervise. I can't bear the thought of ever giving them to her again, so now buy a lot of interactive/durable toys instead.

They last much longer than pigs ears or raw hide products and are cheaper too. When you purchase them, the thicker they are, the longer they last. This batch were a bit thinner than usual but a great price from pet circle. The black ones seem to take longer to chew through than the light ones so maybe they're harder. We will of course repurchase.

Previously, we regularly bought these for our staffy and kelpie/border collie. Unfortunately, the most recent bag contained some very brittle hooves (identifiable as being lighter in color). Our staffy became seriously unwell after biting off a chunk which got lodged in and tore her bowel.

Both my bull mastiff cross and my dingo love to chew on these. They will chew each one for 2 or 3 days so they get a lot of mileage out of them. Much easier on the dog's teeth than giving bones.

The first bag we bought were great and long-lasting. The last bag we bought seemed to be brittle and cracked up into chunks. Our dog swallowed a chunk of a hoof and he ended up needing some serious and almost deadly surgery to remove it from his intestines. I don't think the dogs body can dissolve these treats. If you're dog is like ours, and he has some jaw power, i would reconsider buying these.

Awesome product, doggies love them, will probably need to buy 1 bag a month from now on!!!

Our American Staffy loves it

I bought this packet of hooves a couple of months ago. Our staffy loves it, they last a very long time. I can understand the other reviewers though. There are some lighter coloured hooves which break into quiet large chunks which could get swallowed by bigger dogs. We are always there to supervise our dog when he chews on the lighter coloured ones and as soo. As they are falling apart we through them into the bin. The black hooves are fine as they break down into smaller bits which can easily swallow and digest.

You get what you paid for - be careful!

I bought these for my two spoodles after having good experiences with similar products from other (more expensive) brands. The hooves I received were much more brittle than others and my dog easily crunched the hoof in minutes.He did not choke on any chunks, however, that night was violently vomiting up chunks of hoof that he obviously could not digest. He was very unwell for weeks afterwards, as his stomach lining was inflamed and he got a bacterial infection in his stomach from the chunks tearing him up. I was advised by my vet to throw the rest away.These are perhaps okay for smaller dogs but be very vigilant. For medium and large dogs I would recommend looking at other brands
