Birkenstocks are world renowned for their comfort and construction, yet somehow the Arizona Soft Footbed Limited Edition Sandal has taken that comfort to the next level. The shearling lining pretty much begs us to wear these around town.

I used to have a pair of these that I wore to death. Then I ventured off to Naot and Vionic. A while back I got a pair of these Arizona's in plastic, which came in handy if I was putting on foot cream and didn't want to slide my greased up feet into my Vionic slippers. Nordstrom gifted me a note and I spent it on these really lovely Arizona Birko-Flor Slide Sandals. I could have worn them the week before this last one, but the temp are back down and that makes me want to wear socks and clogs. When it heats back up, I'll be living in these Birkenstocks. I am a true Euro 39 size wise and I appreciate it when manufacturers don't make me guess between 8, 8.5 and 9. Looking at YOU, Blondo.

They were not that comfortable in the beginning, and it took around two weeks to break the sandals in. I have had my Arizona Silver Birkenstock for over three years and it is one of the most comfortable and long lasting sandals I have owned. I am very very picky when it comes to comfortable and style of sandals and flip flops. This is coming from a person extremely picky on sandals that I almost returned but so happy I gave them a chance from previous reviewers. I would highly recommend them.

I can’t rave enough about this Birks Arizona waterproof sandals. I recently wore this to a 3-day vacay in Niagara Falls Canada. We walked at least 11k steps in a day and I did not get a single blister or callus. It is mad comfy. I have wide feet with high arch. My shoes are typically 5.5 (yes I have small feet) so i ordered 5-5.5 and it fits great. I wore these badboys to the Hornblower boat ride (Canadian version of Maid of the mist), and it was perfect for it since it was waterproof. It was not slippery either because of the ridges at the bottom of the shoes. It dried on its own as we strolled around and did more activities. I know it is pricey for a waterproof sandal but it is worth it so stop debating and buy these!! I plan to buy another one when my current one ... MoreI can’t rave enough about this Birks Arizona waterproof sandals. I recently wore this to a 3-day vacay in Niagara Falls Canada. Makes way too much noise
31 May 2022

I bought these because I wanted an affordable way to try out Birkenstocks but I also loved the monochrome black look of these more than the original.I ordered my normal size. I found it to be true to size but I did have to tighten the straps quite a bit. I consider myself to have average width feet and this is supposed to be the narrow width but I still found it quite wide. However, the sizing was not an issue for me because the straps are adjustable and I think if I were to go down a size, it would have been too small length wise for my foot.My major complaint about these shoes is that they just make too much noise. When your feet are dry, they'll occasionally make a farting noise. If your feet are wet, the shoes will squeak with literally every step you take. ... MoreI bought these because I wanted an affordable way to try out Birkenstocks but I also loved the monochrome black look of these more than the original.I ordered my normal size. It made me quite self conscious and I don't think I'll be using these as much as I intended. In terms of comfort, I wasn't too impressed. Heard great things about Birkenstocks and maybe I just need to get used to the foot bed but I actually thought it hurt my feet, especially because I wasn't walking comfortably because I was trying to minimize the sound of the squeaking! Also I don't think they're that flattering when worn, the top of the sandals has an irregular shape.

Narrow NOT Regular
11 September 2023

I LOVE these birks. I wear them all year round. However, I recently ordered a new pair and they were too narrow. They are the size I normally wear so I was confused. The box said that they were narrow, but I was sure I had ordered a regular. I looked back at the product description and it says "medium." After looking at the Birkenstock website, I realized that they sell two sizes "narrow/medium" and "regular/wide". So just be warned, these are not the regular width Birkenstocks so size up! Still great shoes though!

1 June 2023

This is my first pair and I'm anxiously anticipating when they are broken in. I usually buy a cushy type of sandal/shoe but keep coming back to these for the cute style. It's the exact look I wanted I almost purchased Dansko sandals that look like Birks but are a cushier footbed. In the end, I preferred the color in the Birkenstock. I chose the mocha with the rose gold buckles. These will be my go to sandals this summer so I hope I chose right. I'll give 5 stars because I know they are quality but I'm still unsure how supportive or comfortable they will be wearing all day. Wish me luck!! Happy Birthday to me!! Btw, I'm 58. Old feet!! I wear size 8 or 39.

Review for the second time.
26 June 2023

If you ask someone for a review whether you offer a credit or not it should at least be published. I’m not leaving a second review when the first was absolutely fine. Shady practice and very interesting to learn that most reviews aren’t posted unless you deem them to be acceptable. What did you like/dislike? I liked the shoe (everything), completely dislike anything to do with this company. For what would it be ideal, and for whom? Ideal for anyone - but not from this storeWas it true to size? How is the quality, colour, fit? Fit a little big so I ordered a second pair as I love them- as I had previously stated but this simply was not a good enough raving review to post.

Should have ordered my regular size
19 December 2022

After reading several reviews, I went down a size. I am a 9 wide (40) and my toes seem to be a little on the shorter side. I have 2 pairs of the plastic Gizeh-style Birkenstocks and they do seem a tad large, so I figured I'd try the 39's. Unfortunately, they just barely fit. My short toes went right to the very end. Returning for the larger size.I've never owned a pair of leather Birkenstocks, but I'm excited to wear what I know will be good for my feet. I suffer terribly from Plantar Fasciitis. The plastic Birkenstocks have been the only thing that gave me relief. Since I can't wear socks with the Gizeh style I have, I need something I can wear around the house during the colder months to keep my Plantar Fasciitis in check. I can't wait to receive the larger size.

Super Comfy!
20 March 2023

Using these as my house slippers. The previous ones I had (also Birks) disintegrated after many years of use. I was so happy with them that I decided to get Birks again. The sippers are unmatched in quality (made in Germany, duh!) and are super comfortable. Note that there's about a week long break-in period and they will not feel great at first, so just be cognizant of that. One week later and they fit like a glove. Make sure you use the size chart provided on the Birkenstock website and actually take the time to measure your feet properly - it'll go a long way in making sure you'll be satisfied with them for many years to come.

Why are these rated so high!?
1 September 2023

I’ve seen these since high school back in the 90s. I’m flat footed and my wife and I each bought a pair to try. They are absurdly overpriced for cork and glue! 120 bucks. Since we work from home I wore mine everyday for 3 months. Super painful. I even wear orthotics but these were so painful to break in. After two months I got them where they were actually great and I thought to myself, this is what people talk about in terms of birks being so great, comfortable and formed to my feet. At 4 months the sole started separating. At 6 months they were no longer wearable and fell apart. Not to mention as they break in you have to keep punching holes in the strap. Absolutely garbage. I can’t believe people love these so much. The 5 star reviews must be wearing them lightly ... MoreI’ve seen these since high school back in the 90s. I still have an original pair of champs from 10yrs ago with toe loop and they have been worn hiking for years. I looked into resoling these but it costs 100 bucks so what’s the point?
