We had a couple of gas hubs mokas and were thinking of buying induction mokas instead, however we saw this converter and thought this could be a cheaper option and we also would not have to discard old functioning mokas. I bought this yesterday and after a couple of uses it's already burnt! Leaving black holes on the back and burnt stains on a new induction hub!I wonder if this is a cheap thing Bialetti got produced and just got their name stamped on it otherwise I really couldn't explain such poor quality

This is not usable at all. The plate left a permanent mark on our induction top and it's incredibly inefficient. At the highest setting, a coffee took more than 20 minutes to brew. Upon reading, I have found out that this product is actually detrimental and potentially dangerous on induction tops. I wouldn't recommend anyone else buys this.

The induction plate converts your induction stove to a hot plate. It’s easy. Works exactly as described. Just remember everything stays hot after using a hot plate so you have to leave it to cool down.

I am so happy with the Bialetti Induction Plate. I am very surprised that the coffee brewing time wasn’t held back as for the extra thickness due to the coffee maker and the plate it’s self on to the hot plate or on my camping gas burner. I will say you do have to be careful as the handle can get warm closer to the plate end and that the plate does take a while to cool down. I would definitely say it is a great extra to have and a reasonable price.
Don't underestimate this clever tool. I use it on a gas hob and find by controlling heat distribution, to the stove top coffee maker, to a gentle steady brew, the result is an improved coffee taste. Less bitter and more rounded.
I was looking forward to using this adapter, but it really disappoints and doesn’t work. The induction cooker just overheats and switches off before the mocha pot gets hot. I wouldn’t recommend buying this. Just use a small gas cooker or electric plate, as you would normally have done.
Good quality but with some scratches on the surface.I used adapter plate on my old induction to heat a cup of water (about 400-450 Oz) , during test, the plate smelled, and its surface was yellowing; I was so worried that the black "Bialetti" letters on the bottom would stick to the induction plate (because the plate got too hot); and it doesn’t transmit the energy in a best way.I used over 16 minutes to heat 450 oz water from 16 to 85°C, I gave up. This diffusers waste a lot of thermal energy. a lot of time of a "barista ",but it more--or less--works.
We are quite disappointed in the effectiveness of this induction plate. It takes close to eight minutes on the induction cooktop to fully brew a coffee in a small Bialetti espresso maker. There seems to be a significant dispersal of heating capacity compared to using a wider based pot/pan on the induction cooktop which takes less than two minutes to bring the equivalent amount of water to the boil. Wouldn't recommend this product.
I used it on my Siemens induction hob. It quickly overheats the hob, so that hob shuts itself down. To cook a 0.5l of coffee I need to move it back and forth between two hobs 3-4 times to allow them to cool down.
Totally excellent investment- I bought this because I have one of the very small mocha pots that is not very stable on the top of my gas stove – not only has it proven absolutely the best thing for the smaller pot but even with my 6 cup or 10 cup coffee pot the improvement in efficiency is really surprising. No more risk of burning the base of the pot if I’m distracted with a call from the office – holds the heat to finish off the pot with the stove turned off, genuinely an induction plate.I totally can’t bear shop bought coffee now- on a rural property, working from home and having found just the right coffee blend for flavour that is awesome and delivered to the farm gate with Bialetti equipment – I’m set (thank you Covid for something anyway).I can’t do without ... MoreTotally excellent investment- I bought this because I have one of the very small mocha pots that is not very stable on the top of my gas stove – not only has it proven absolutely the best thing for the smaller pot but even with my 6 cup or 10 cup coffee pot the improvement in efficiency is really surprising. No more risk of burning the base of the pot if I’m distracted with a call from the office – holds the heat to finish off the pot with the stove turned off, genuinely an induction plate.I totally can’t bear shop bought coffee now- on a rural property, working from home and having found just the right coffee blend for flavour that is awesome and delivered to the farm gate with Bialetti equipment – I’m set (thank you Covid for something anyway).I can’t do without my stovetop coffee, And I’m delighted to be surprised at how well this induction plate really really works. Highly recommended
