The hyper-cardioid pickup pattern of this Beyerdynamic TG-V70ds dynamic vocal microphone effectively counters any sounds from the sides or back. It's also equipped with feedback-reduction to keep those all-too-familiar high-pitched screeches that have been known to emanate from speakers and monitors to an absolute minimum; a desirable feature in the studio as well as on stage. Furthermore, this Beyerdynamic line is characterised by the fact that its mics are designed to effectively reduce handling noise. Beyerdynamic TG-V70ds dynamic vocal microphone This microphone contains what is known as a marked proximity effect feature, which boosts the frequency range in the lower tones as you get closer to the mic; a characteristic that can reach 16 dB or more in the cardioid pickup pattern of dynamic microphones, depending on the size of the diaphragm and the distance from the source. Vocalists in particular will find the addition of low frequency a welcome addition, seeing as it gives their voice an especially powerful sound. Without the help of effects or enhancement from the mixing console, the Beyerdynamic TG-V70ds will provide a pure sound that is impressively round and powerful all on its own.
