I’ve been using Bare Minerals Original Foundation for years and it’s my go to foundation. My grandmother also loves it. I use mine and hers for an even coverage, after applying concealer. So that I can get a clean, bright look along with covering my blemishes. The foundation gives me a flawless look. Also, my grandmother uses her foundation on its own whenever she wears makeup, so that she can cover her blemishes. The foundation works on its own or applied over concealer. It’s a little expensive, but worth it. It’s expensive compared to drug store foundations. I get this foundation from Ulta. First impression of this foundation: love the setup of the vessel it’s stored in. Twist to pop the pump out, twist to seal it back up. I took this with me on a flight and could feel confident that the contents wouldn’t leak everywhere (a problem I’ve had in the past when transporting liquid makeup)! On first application, I wondered if maybe the tone was a bit too orange - I applied it with my fingers and it was definitely a bit warmer than I was used to for the shade. My mom made a comment that it looked like the wrong shade for me. However, an hour later she said it looked much better, like it “just needed time to cook.” The next morning I changed up my application a bit and used a makeup sponge that I’d rinsed in warm water to apply and blend it. This did the trick. The sponge helped to blend it in more, and with it being warm from the water, it settled into my skin much more nicely. I think honestly I probably just picked too warm a tone initially - chock it up to overconfidence that my tan had lasted me throughout winter. But at least I could make it work! This is a good foundation for those that prefer dewy to matte for their look. That being said, it’s lightweight, it blends well and holds up throughout the day, and as I mentioned - it transports well! And of course, it’s got an SPF of 20 (wish this was a teensy bit higher, like 35 but I love that it’s mineral-based because then your skin doesn’t feel oily all day) which is great for those of us that use retinol treatments at night. I would definitely buy this product again once this one runs out, if anything, for a great on-the-go foundation to bring along on trips!

If you have used this before, be warned that the colors have changed! This was my go-to foundation for years, until... now. I bought a replacement bottle and they have changed the formula for sure. The color is wrong, the texture is wrong, it's just not the same. More watery, somehow? I have always used color 09, which used to be called Light Natural but is now called Light Beige and the new version is NOT the same color! Way more orangey and doesn't match my skin at all. A huge bummer, because I loved the old version. Will try to return.

Best foundation I've ever used

I have tried probably close to 50 different foundations in my day, until I decided to try this one. Oh my gosh. It is the best thing ever. It sits so nicely on the skin, looks completely natural. The consistency is thin, and it is light to medium coverage but builds SO well if you want a full coverage look. It has no scent and is so easy to apply, (I usually do it with a brush and sometimes with a beauty blender.) It also lasts for the rest of the day without any setting powder or anything. Probably my favorite thing about this product besides how natural it looks is that it somehow cleared my acne scars. It really helps get rid of discoloration and texture somehow? I definitely wasn't expecting it but I am so pleased! I seriously recommend this product. 100% amazing!

Coverage is thin.

The color is nice, but the formula is too thin. I am going to return this product and replace it with something different. I tried applying with finger tips, brushes, sponges, and layers. I like light coverage, but it was streaky using all of those methods. Hopefully your online specialists will be able to direct me. You may just continue with the mineral powders.The store near me closed before I could go there to see a specialist. Disappointed

I bought this as I'd been so happy with the original powder foundation that has disappeared for two years so far. I'm very disappointed. I bought yet another brush to go with it and I've wasted a lot of money. One pump and no moisturiser underneath and my skin looks wet. I had breakouts too. My skin is not very oily and extremely clear normally. It runs on the yellow side too. Save your money! Don't bother! I've really had enough of Bare minerals and the missing products that are apparently not discontinued. Such a shame as they were excellent and vegan which is exactly what I was looking for. Needs reformulation whereas the original powder foundation did not and that's why it has disappeared apparently!

Great coverage for sensitive skin

This stuff is amazing - I got this on a whim after I couldn’t find the Complexion Rescue in stock and I’m so glad I did. This glides on smoothly (I use my fingers as brushes make me break out) but has double the coverage of the Complexion Rescue. It truly is “buildable” as well - this is the first foundation I’ve had that actually covers red spots. It also doesn’t sit on my skin the way other makeup does- it looks perfectly blended, you can’t even tell I’m wearing makeup. Been using it for three weeks and no breakouts. Have gotten many compliments on how glowing my face is lately. 10/10

I Adore this product!

I have spent waaay too much SEARCHING for the right foundation. Recently I tried the Dior Forever foundation. The 1st couple of times trying it I was sure I had found THE ONE!WRONG...I have no clue what happened, but it started looking dry and very cakey. I was so let down. So...off searching again.I purchased this, and I'm scared to even say how much I LOVE this foundation. I'm hoping and hoping it continues to perform as it has for the last few days of wearing it. The color, is perfect, the coverage is lite and airy, but covers perfectly and after 10 hours of wear for me still looked so good. I did use a setting spray and a mineral veil. Not worth it

The instructions say to put 2 pumps on the back of your hand and then dot it on your face with your fingers, then to gently swipe it to blend onto your face. (Shake well, moisturize, water based primer and setting powder)While it didn't seem like it at first, 2 pumps after dotting it onto my face was a lot of product that did not easily swipe and blend. It left a lot of 'swipe' impressions in the makeup and I had to use a brush to help give it a better texture. I liked the appearance of the finish from a distance but when you looked at my face up close you saw every flaw in the finish of the foundation. First, it did not set well even after setting powder so it settled in the lines of my face. After sitting for about an hour I checked up on it and sadly it still looks cakey and settles very badly on my face. A foundation shouldn't require a lot of effort to make work and unfortunately this one requires extra steps that just leave you with a disappointing finish.

Wanted To Love It

I got this when I wanted a little bit more of a lighter coverage than the BarePro Matte Foundation. Not an everyday but, most days type of makeup. I was really disappointed in it, it just didn't do much for me. I was expecting better coverage but it just didn't deliver that, leaving some areas of my skin without any coverage at all. My skin is a combo oily type and on both the dry and oily areas it just didn't really deliver. I would 100% recommend the BarePro Matte Foundation over this, it has an amazing, natural skin like coverage that is both matte but so natural and flawless. But for this foundation, subpar. Maybe it just wasn't the right one for me.
