However, it was lost in shipping.After already waiting a few weeks for it to arrive, I decided that my 7 year-old daughter waited patiently for long enough so we went out and purchased this Dream Camper.The Dream Camper is impressive. We bought this for our 5 year old for Christmas, who was so excited when she unwrapped it. About a hour playing with it the camper falls apart when you open the back on the driver's side. Not sure if this is a manufacturing defect, but no matter how lightly she opens it, just falls off and you have to hinge it back together. The same with the roof piece which was supposedly the sleeping area for the L.O.L dolls. Its bittersweet to see your child's face light up that Santa got her something on her list and to see the disappointment every time we have to put the piece back on the camper. I gave the review 1 star since my daughter was happy to get this for Christmas, however I would never buy another L.O.L camper or otherwise again. Flimsy piece of garbage. Got this for my daughter's 5th birthday. She'd been asking for it for months. Although it had some poor reviews, I figured it was worth a shot. We returned it the following day as requested by my daughter. Pretty sad when an easy to please child doesn't want it. First time we poped it open, a plastic latch snapped. This latch held the whole side of the camper closed. The pool doesn't snap in. Just slides all over the place and makes it hard to close the broken door. The pool ladder won't stand up. Top camper latch doesn't stay closed. This latch basically hold the entire thing together. Couldn't drive it without it popping open on its own and spilling everything out the side. The tiny cab is really the only place for Barbie and her camping gear to fit. I honestly can not find a single thing about this that was any good. I paid half price for this $85 nonsense and wouldn't recommend it for any more than $10. If you're thinking of purchasing this item, first consider cutting holes in a cardboard box strapped to an old skate....the concept is the same.
Great product and very popular with kids.Just a few things to be aware of:- when taking Barbie in and out of driver seat, it can be very difficult as the door doesn’t open so you put Barbie and chair through the front but can be very difficult for a child to take back out. For independent children this can be frustrating- there are MANY small accessories. But it's impossible to get them different barbie accessories. I decided to go back to Walmart and see what the big deal was with this DreamCamper they were talking about. I gave in and got it for their 6th birthday. The look in their eyes when they opened it was priceless! The things they really liked was the pool, it has a slide and is pretty big. The sides and the top extend with a push of a button. They take the barbie clothes and put them in the closet! I (as a grown up!) love this! Initially it took a lot of stickers applying, the front clipping onto the van and threading the shower curtain onto the pole...that was a little faffy but not difficult. There are loads of little pieces (plates, cups, juice, etc.) that mostly clip onto holes on the fridge shelves or tables so they don't keep moving around, which is great (but you have to teach your child to support whatever they are pushing it onto or I feel the plastic would be brittle and crack) but I do wish there was some kind of storage box that perhaps fit in the bedroom to store the loose tiny bits like cutlery and toothbrushes (yes, toothbrushes!!!)Press the button on the top and the whole camper easily slides open to reveal the kitchen on one side, bathroom ... MoreI (as a grown up!) love this! Downsides of this are that when folding it up for driving (or storage) I found it difficult to store the main table and campfire. The table comes apart from it's stand but I still find it awkward to stow anywhere: and there is nowhere for passengers to sit for driving unless you squeeze them (we have 2 small Chelsea Barbies and a normal size Barbie and Ken) in the cab too. (Perhaps I am trying too hard to treat it like a real camper??? )So this is quite large (but then Barbie is quite tall!), and you need to be able to reach both sides when playing to really play with it so it gets plonked in the middle of the living room, but it is great that it at least folds away a little smaller for storing.This is every little (or grown up) girl's dream toy and I feel it lives up to expectations! My 5 year old plays with it nicely and I'd say she's the right age for it and all it's teeny tiny bits! Although expensive this is truly awesome and worth the money!
We purchased this Barbie Dream Camper a few months ago for my daughters birthday. This was her main gift. My daughter only collects full sized Barbies. Not her smaller sisters. Anywho this camper shouldn’t be sold as Barbies dream camper but Barbies sisters dream camper as Barbie can not fit in the bathroom shower/sink area at all. You can’t even get two dolls in the driving area. Also the widow/table has to be taped shut other wise it just flops down. Highly annoying. Also Barbie doesn’t fit in the canopy beds.We are big fans of Barbie and have spent more on Barbie the last few months. We have enjoyed several sets but this set was the most expensive and it’s the most disappointing product yet.

First plus for this camper is that it comes almost completely assembled. It took maybe 15 minutes to set up, and most of that time was consumed with placing stickers on the camper. This set comes with two chairs that are used both as dining chairs and as driving chairs, and unfortunately my girls were very frustrated with trying to use the attached seatbelt. It is fairly difficult to remove and replace the belt and they eventually stopped trying to use it at all. The set does come with play food and accessories, and whoever thought of making the accessories actually attach to the playset is a genius. I can't speak to the durability yet since we haven't had it long, but so far, everything seemed durable and well-made. The only con I can really add is that being my daughter is 5, she has no patience, and having to push the camper back together, she needs a little help at first. But that is something she'll get the hang of!Note: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. With that said, I would have purchased this for my daughter anyway.
