Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover 325ml

I never normally write reviews but this product really deserves one. Wow!! I had loads of tar splashed up the side of my car (I haven't a clue how so much splashed up!!) Anyway washing it did nothing and I really thought I wasn't going to be able to move it. I brought this tar remover and was amazed. Thank you Autoglym.

I've used many far removers and this is by far the best one and also involves the least amount of elbow grease.This week I've been valeting both our cars to remove the winter debris from the paint before polishing and waxing. Tar removal is the worst job but with this it's easy.Doesn't work exactly as it says (or as the videos show). I didn't get the tar dissolving and running down the paint but what I found works best is if you out a bit on a cloth and wipe over the area, leave it for a minute or two then put a wee bit more on the cloth and just wipe back and forward with a little bit of pressure. The vast majority of the tar will come off no problem and the stickier bits just need a bit more pressure. It's been like that since the summer and I was dreading trying to get it off. This stuff, with a bit more elbow grease, took it all away and left the paint smooth and shiny before I even applied polish. An added bonus!Word of warning. I was using this on a cool, cloudy day and it dried in quickly. Work in small areas and as soon as you start seeing it go hazy start removing it by buffing with a clean, dry cloth or working it in with your application cloth. I wouldn't use this on a warm, sunny day.It's worth every penny this stuff. Saves so much time and effort and you won't be exhausted at the end of the job.

Bought this after camping in a pine forest and our car was covered in hardened pine sap blobs. Had tried hot water, oil, alco hand gel and wd40 to get rid of it but nothing worked. This worked a treat with a bit of rubbing and has left no residue. I’d be very careful about splashing it anywhere as it ate through the rubber gloves I was wearing but it didn’t damage the car at all.
