Asustor FS6712X NAS/storage Server Compact Ethernet LAN Black N5105
Archiving and unfinished raw content are among the most common storage issues encountered when working with a Mac. Final Cut Pro libraries can grow quickly and uncontrollably. Content creators often rely on external USB drives to store material for Final Cut Pro. When working with a Mac, especially portable Macs like the MacBook Pro, external drives are frequently connected and disconnected, which can lead to wear and tear on the port. External drives are also impractical, as files cannot be easily shared with colleagues or team members, and they are susceptible to damage in ways that a NAS is not. A NAS remains stationary while providing your files digitally, whereas an external drive is portable, increasing the risk of drops, spills, or other damage. The quiet fan and efficient airflow design ensure rapid heat dissipation, keeping SSDs adequately cooled.
