It's everything I expected, it works great.Though I did encouter an issue where the screen's color balance is terribly biased towards green.Out the box it worked fine, but after a while it just switched to a greenish tint.I suspect it might have been a loose wire in the monitor or at least some sort of hardware problem, I fixed the issue by recalibrating the colors using the windows screen calibration. But I fear for the possibility of the hardware problem getting worse over time.I'm not completely sure though, it may also be a software problem.I terms of performance it runs really well, especially when kept clean and optimized.I do think that the cooling can allow the computer to reach dangerous temps, but I suppose that's a given for gaming ... This is an affordable gaming laptop. It has a good cooling thermal system using dual fans, turned on dual fans turbo mode during gaming without any overheating issue. Build quality is decent and sleek with plastic body (Can get the F15 with metal sleek body that even better for reduce heat, if got budget). With CPU Ryzen 7 and GPU RTX2050, set highest graphic in Honkai Star Rail can playing without laggy issue. Comes with 144hz for smooth display, battery last long for 4-5 hrs if turned on power efficient mode and turned down to 60hz, high performance mode can last for 2hrs. The only I can complain about this laptop is bulky build, heavy but it's expected of gaming laptop. The price offered is tolerable for the cons. Overall, no complaint with the affordable price.

I purchased this laptop a month ago from BestBuy, and I am still blown away each and every time I get it out of the case and boot it up.I personally got the FA507XU, which includes a 4070 GPU, 1tb SSD, and the 7940HS CPU, all of which make for a powerful, functional combination that I absolutely love using.Armory Crate has come a long way and allows me to precisely customize every minor aspect of this machine and its hardware. I am also able to keep it up-to-date with Crate and the MyAsus app. If you are purchasing this laptop, I would highly recommend checking for BIOS updates immediately and then updating other things like the GPU.The laptop has a beautiful modern, sleek look, which goes hand in hand with how light and portable it is. It's not fatiguing to have on my lap for hours on end, and gaming still blows my mind. Being able to run titles like Battlefield 2042 and Red Dead 2 at high/ultra settings and achieve triple-digit frame rates is truly awe-inspiring.The laptop includes a low profile and light AC adapter, which albeit a little short, works very well. As I mentioned, very thin and low profile, which makes placing it into a case very discrete. The screen is also very nice - very detailed and colorful, and I love being able to enable HDR for certain applications.Overall, this model of the Asus TUF A15 is fantastic and exceeds my wants. I can foresee this lasting me a significantly long time thanks to the specs, build quality and support from Asus.

I haven't had a gamin computer since 2005. I swapped over to PS3 then PS4 and haven't had the want/need to upgrade to a PS5. I bought a mac mini m2 since my 2011 iMac needed a replacement. The Mac Mini apparently cant play any steam games since lots of games are not apple silicon compatible. I was in need of a laptop in order to study for the next couple of months and then game after the studying is done. I haven't had a laptop since my old netbook back in '02-'03. I built my own PC back in the day and enjoyed what all I could do with it. Now that I have this A15 I've only played for a bit to test it and it seems great. I was able to install my old steam games and play the old splinter cell conviction that I was never able to finish playing since my desktop fried after a lightning storm. Games are clear, crisp and with great detail using the 1080 and 144hz screen. The viewing angle is great due to the ips screen, I would have lights the screen to be a little brighter, but that seems to be my only complaint so far. This thing boots up quick. Having the SSD definitely helps out. This is a big step up from what I've had. So far, I would definitely make this purchase again.
I bought my ASUS A15 (FA507XU) two weeks ago. I think it's a very nice piece of hardware. I tested few games, some older like Just Cause 3, some more recent like Cyberpunk 2077. I'm very pleased with the performance/price ratio of this laptop. It's possible to play (in my opinion) with a comfortable stable frame rate and after running some minor tweaks (limiting fps to ~55) the computer stay rather cool (for a gaming laptop) in the matter of temperatures. I though about buying version with RTX 4060, but the performance gain for me wasn't worth it. The one thing that I think is not to todays standards is the amount of RAM. Only 16GB in gaming laptop is a joke, as it fills pretty quickly. The plastic palmrest and chassis likes to shine from sweaty fingers and palms. ... MoreI bought my ASUS A15 (FA507XU) two weeks ago. Very solid gaming laptop, bought $200 on sale making it a great value. My son LOVES the rotating RGB lit keyboard and it performs equally to his gaming desktop. Feels good for typing, has full keypad on right side too. The Geforce 4060 with 8GB is a step above 4050-6gb or 3060-4gb in other $600-1000 laptops, should continue to perform well for future AAA games, hopefully last him at least until college.Solidly built, typical ASUS quality. Nice surprise to have a 40GB USB4 port, but it is unlabeled!! (except for a peel off sticker.) Also, the port icons and status light icons are TINY, near impossible to see. Wish the power port was at the back but cord does have a 90 degree angle plug. Gets pretty warm as you'd expect, and battery life isn't great using the nVidia ... Gets pretty warm as you'd expect, and battery life isn't great using the nVidia chip: Be sure to open the Armoury Crate app, which controls all laptop settings - there's 4 graphics settings, Eco mode will disable the graphics card for best battery life when not gaming. Power supply brick gets VERY hot, do not leave sitting on your couch or laying in a blanket on the couch. It really should have some metal cooling fins or a small fan in it. Screen is matte, so no annoying reflections, and standard 300 nits so bright enough for most situations.REALLY appreciate the free 1 year ADP (accidental damage protection) from ASUS just for registering it. Overall very glad we bought it!
I was given this laptop to attempt to fix it having an issue and keep it as my own. The issue is mostly motherboard related. I know this from articles about the overall laptop design and how the majority go BOOM within the end of the warranty, warranty expired on 09/01/2024 and the issue started at around 09/10/2024. Basically, the computer shut off and wouldn't react to anything; however, it had a battery idicator, let you clear cmos/rtc and had no power indicator. It refused to boot up, I managed to get it after holding the power button down for 2 minutes and BAM it booted right up, did a reset, but on restart it started the whole process of holding down the button for 2 minutes. So after a third time of holding it down for 2 minutes, it booted up, had the ASUS post image, then shut off and now it won't turn back on. I sell these guys at Staples all the time, but now I am going to refuse to sell them after all the bad that I have heard about the F15.

I had to get a computer quick after my many years old msi died and this seemed like a good option based on my needs and the specs provided. Ive been very disappointed as my 6-7 year old msi ran smoother (before it crashed) than this computer does brand new. There are issues with the fans not turning on causing throttle and overheating, there is lag when there should not be, and there have been problems with coming out of sleep fully. If you use discord also prepare to not be able to share your screen or stream anything in that way. Also worth mentioning I have ruled out other things like wifi so it's not that. The things that have been nice are: the size and weight, the frame doesnt feel too flimsy, and I was able to add an extra ssd. Although the computer only came with a 512gb ssd which seems like very little space for a gaming laptop, at this price point that's to be expected. Also the laptop can handle all of my regular remote work from my job for the most part.I like other ASUS products, however, overall I would not recommend this machine. If you are an extremely casual gamer who also knows how to manage the basics of a computer (ie. Deal with the fan issue) it might be okay, but otherwise save up for something else and save yourself the frustration.
