I could clown this little meter but it does provide me with a means to an end. I lost a well made multimeter that had additional features and it seems this purchase represents the minimum cost just to get capacitance and audible continuity testing. Of course you get the regular DC/AC testing and it does have data hold, auto ranging and a non-contact voltage function and is a 4000count true RMS digital multimeter and that covers the basics in what I was looking for. It even comes with a small flashlight and the screen can be back-lit. Yes, you can pay more for a more professional meter but this will work in a pinch. I would've liked to get more than one test lead option however those can be purchased separately. For the price, this thing is amazing. It does everything I need, and more. If I was a field service pro, working in tough environments every day, I'd want something in a more robust package. But for a home lab, DIY, general electrical work around the house, this meter is perfect. I also have the TRMS 2000 version but for an extra $3 the TRMS 4000 is a no-brainer upgrade, with auto-ranging, dedicated battery test function, and more.

My other multi meter requires watching the needle, which can be tricky when also holding the connections together. This meter is awesome. I didn’t want to drop $100+ on a Fluke. Was pleasant surprise by the functionality and quality of this meter. Onboard storage of probes is awesome plus allows you to hold one probe with the meter in one hand. Very solid case. I like the continuity light added to the beep for a closed circuit. Battery testing settings are nice to have.

It does everything that it should. My issue is that the exposed portion of the probes are quite short and covering quite thick, so making it difficult if you want get into a thin slot. Going to have come up with a solution. It would also be useful to have some crocodile clip leads that fit. The display is bright and clear. The ability to check whether a cable is live is a useful check, but you cannot rely on it for certainty of whether power has been switched off. The leads are quite stiff and I hope that they soften with use. Could be so much better with a little thought to the design.

I don't need a multimeter for professional or serious hobbyist purposes. I just use a multimeter for basic homeowner tasks: checking for circuit continuity or voltage, checking batteries, occasionally measuring resistance and capacitance, that sort of thing. I already had mutimeters for the shop and garage, but I wanted one for the actual home because I am getting old and lazy. This multimeter exceeded my expectations: it's really well made, it works great, and it has every function I could ever want plus more, all at a very attractive price. I'm very happy with it.

Very impressed with this entry-level multimeter. User manual was concise and readily understandable. I made capacitance, voltage, and battery strength tests almost immediately. it runs rings around my vintage analog Radio Shack tester that served me well for many years. (Thank you, auto ranging!) An alligator clip attachment (as on competing. model 130B) would have been a plus, but I opted for the built-in flashlight. This will be a handy, inexpensive addition to my home toolkit.

I have a few voltmeters here,(3) some have loose leads that are poorly made..but good meters. I needed an auto turn off meter since I forget to do that . I ordered this meter when my battery’s were all bad. Then, when I forgot where I put my yellow meter..I gave up and ordered this one. This one (A red one) came delivered to my door before I could find a battery for my other meter so, it’s a win win. This meter has good feeling buttons, looks well made. I like it because the leads fit well. It seems well made compared to my other cheap meter with a dead battery, and loose leads..the kind that the ground will fall out when your moving around..it is a auto ranging meter with out auto turn off however..so, I may need batteries some day. Hmm.
