(200 reviews)

Inspired by the GT-2000 running family the GT-2000 SX training shoe has been redesigned with a synthetic fibre and PU textile for an overall improved fit. This shoe is an a great option for gym goers or every day walkers who lead an active lifestyle. The updated mesh upper is both tough and supportive and complements a denser outsole. The wide fit accommodates broader foot types.

Amazingly comfortable shoes!

I am always sceptical about buying shoes online so was not sure what to expect from this pair of shoes! I was very pleasantly surprised!! They are super comfortable right from the start, I did not even have to “wear them in” I have loved walking around in these shoes and would definitely recommend them to everyone! You could easily wear them all day and not feel any discomfort whatsoever! Definitely a 5/5 for me!

I have a damaged back. My last ASICS lasted me two years wearing them daily. I finally bought a new pair. I got great advice from the team for the specific shoe I wanted. I walk daily. These are fantastic. I won’t own anything now but ASICS walking shoes. Thank you so much. I will be buying some more just to have the luxury of colours.

Comfortable but shallow

Overall, these are really comfy shoes. However, I need additional arch support, and my orthotics didn't fit due to the depth of the shoe being a little too shallow. Found a work around, which is great because I am enjoying them, but it's also the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. If you don't need orthotics, these are a solid 5 stars.

Give them some time
12 April 2021

Initially I was disappointed. Tight and stiff I was questioning whether I had bought the right size. I broke them in around the house, but was still skeptical as my GT-1000 LE(D) are much wider and really comfortable. And the laces...too short! No hope of a heel lock. Surprisingly, with wear they improve immensely. Comfortable and fit for purpose. The sole doesn't hold a lot of dirt and is easy to clean, unlike the 195s that are a nightmare. It would be helpful if there could be a clearer indication of the last variations between styles so that online buyers get a better understanding of sizes (a comparison chart perhaps?)...and longer laces, please!!!

Great buy

I love these shoes, they’ve got good support while being well cushioned. I wear them daily either at the gym, for work or just out and about. This is my 4th pair I’ve bought in different colours. I like the fact that the upper is water resistant which means no wet feet when walking on wet grass etc. If you have time to wait for specials they are usually available at a good price

Great hybrid walkers
15 July 2024

Great hybrid shoes. These are my 3rd pair as I walk daily on tracks & concrete paths in all weather and wear them out in a year. Much lower price at Rebel than Shoe Clinic. The only thing to watch out for is going through the toes. Adding a toe patch worked with the last pair.Good grip but not great on gravel.

Love ASICS for Walking & Gym
4 July 2023

Purchased for long distance walking and gym. Previous shoe an ASICS GT-1000 (D) so comfortable I wouldn’t consider buying anything but ASICS as a replacement. I purchased my ASICS GT-2000 as they are very similar shoes however while initially feeling comfortable they start to feel cramped after walking a few kilometres. By comparison the 2000 feels more snug as if the shoe is a fraction shorter in width and length despite being the same size and measurements as my previous shoes. Ordered on line so may have been a half size up with a professional fitting. Love the colour and the support and stability of my ASICS for walking and gym.

Love these
6 January 2024

Just received my GT 2000, such quick delivery, very efficient. Found these Gt 2000 alot more comfortable that the Asic Keyano, as these are a lighter shoe & suit me better for walking in theyr so really comfortable & i have a bit of a wide foot, so these are perfect.I find the Keyno are better for me to wear at work as the sole is so thick packed with such support i find them a bit heavier but seen im on my feet all day on a concrete floor they are better suited for my job.The quality of these shoes is excellent & they really last me a long time.I have always bought this brand. I love them, Thanknyou.

Not as wide as I would like
13 December 2022

I always buy Asics shoes, they have always been a perfect fit for my wide foot. Not this time. It's a great looking shoe, but that's where it ends. Though this one is in a wide fitting, it feels very narrow and not as comfortable as previous purchases. It has taken much longer to get this shoe to wearable state of comfort. The description says mesh, however the top of the shoe feels like leather, so it's not as flexible as mesh shoes.

Worst 'Walking' Shoe Ever! Beware of Fit & Sizing! Hard, Painful Underfoot Trusstic Plate! Read Reviews

Sadly😢 I happened to walk past a specialist shoe fitting store and ended up purchasing a pair of white Asics GT 2000 SX (D) that caught my eye in late Dec 2023 as I’m a long time user of ASICS stability models like GT 2000 & Gel Kayanos with no problems. Having never seen this model elsewhere and thinking it would be like the usual GT 2000 models in terms of comfort, support and stability. Thought I had struck gold with finding such a beautiful white sneaker that would stylish for work and supportive for my flat feet orthotics.Alas! This model has been a nightmare for my feet. Despite being labelled as a (D) wide cut which I don’t normally need on any of my other Asics shoes, this model turns out to be much shorter & narrower than the same size Asics shoes. This was brought up by my podiatrist who informed me that this was a bad fitting shoe as the narrow top has been rubbing on my left toe causing red/ painful abrasions due to the tightness and pvc, faux 'leather' look type material. The trusstic underfoot plate is also so hard that it literally hurts the foot when walking around the shops. This totally defeats its main function as a walking shoe for longer distances and exercise. I was told it would soften up over time with wear but it does not and really hurts your foot/knees/back.I was told by the salesperson that a walking shoe would be better than a running shoe if you’re not a runner but this has been a huge waste of money as I have to stop wearing it due to the pain, discomfort and abrasions it has caused on my pinky toes. I have never encountered such problems ever with Asics running shoes. I’m shocked and disappointed that instead of getting better after wearing them in for a month it has caused more pain and foot issues. If only I had researched and read online reviews of this particular model of Asics shoes!! I blindly trusted the sales staff as I did not expect such a shoe to be sold at a specialist, shoe fitting store especially one that is supposed to be good with orthotic inserts and other foot issues 🙁
