My old wall fan just died in the heat. Searched on line everywhere no luck with old brand.I was wandering the isles at Bunnings Belrose when i spotted the Arlec wall fan. It was the last one.Apparently sell like hot cakes in summer. Glad i got it. Better than the old one (only 13 months)Whisper quite and speeds to match the mood. Needed to have a remote, location is difficult. Works well.Highly Recommend. 5 stars

Extremely light weight fan. Not sure how - dc motor perhaps? The 5 blade fans blow so much more air than 3 blade fans and this one really moves the air around, even on low speed and with the grille on. I think it’s new stock so a bit hard to find but definitely worth the hunt. Easy to mount too as you can unscrew the mounting plate to mark the holes accurately.

I bought 4 of these as I had purchased 2 previously and was happy with them. Unfortunately they have changed the hanging method and the remote control; not for the better. It’s unfortunate that you can’t buy replacement remotes when these invariably fail.

Bought this after returning the much more expensive Arlec DC Smart Fan which wasn't a very good fan. This one is good, blows air effectively and is pretty quiet. The remote is a bit finnicky, you have to point it quite accurately to work, and the bottom edge of the fan shroud sometimes blocks the sensor, which seems to have been poorly located.
Hard to mount without a template to use for the screws. Good product. Power cable length is a bit annoying. It would be nice if it was either shorter or longer. (shorter so no slack if plugged into a powerpoint near the fan/ longer to get to the ground if mounted slightly above head height.
Bought this today for a small bedroom with a tin roof which is typically hot room in summer. This is an excellent fan with lots of different settings for comfort. Really packs a punch and does a great job with the 5 blades. Wall hung with two screws and needs to be plugged into a plug socket. Can be easily taken off the wall and stored out of season if you don’t want it up all year as it not permanently fixed to wall just hung with 2 x drilled in screws. Great buy would recommend.
I bought this today installed in my 6m x 3m portable building. Went up easy tested all functions and remote. My assessment of this fan working with my 2.5kw Mitsubishi industrial grade air complements the flow of cooling room perfect on a hot day. Evening I use the fan only and works as it should. For this size room it does a great job at a very reasonable price. Quiet, effective, efficient. Longevity is yet to be tested. But we’ll worth on a budget. Highly recommend.
I got one of these Arlec wall fans in thinking they were good because of the reviews but I should not have. The fan shakes quite badly and the bearings are not even lubricated properly from manufacture as it made rough sounds from the bearings. The remote does not work unless you are right near the fan. It could definitely be better
Perfect for keeping cool in a large room. Bought for our rear living area for hot summer days and when we want more ventilation. Gives a decent breeze even on low. Not particularly quiet but not too noticeable- you easily get used to it. Remote is a handy feature. As is self timer.
I got this fan because I needed one closer to my head and upper body. Since (and I'm going to say it out loud) menopause kicked in, combined with the heat in summer its unbearable and intense - so having a remote controlled fan that was closer to my upper body mounted on the wall at the head of the bed has been excellent.Its a strong fan - better than my turbo fan. The remote is a bit rubbish - it works but the quality isn't anything special.I am happy enough that I am going to buy a second one.
