Apple Macbook Pro 13-inch 1.4GHz i5 256GB (Silver) [2020]

I use both Windows and iOS everyday… I have a PC and a couple of Macbook Pro's (Intel and M1). The Retina Display is THE reason I use Apple at all. The Retina display is amazing! The iOS does have a good, intuitive interface. For example you can drag and drop from almost anywhere to almost anywhere. That's smart. But there are many annoying things as well about the Macbook. The iCloud verification request never goes off, no matter how many times I enter credentials. This M1 chip is way under powered compared to my PC with Intel generation 9 chip. So, the M1 is a fine machine, but not good enough for a complete solution. So, I edit my photos on the M1 and the excellent Retina Display and do everything else on my PC. Apple fans will likely disagree, but I base my ... MoreI use both Windows and iOS everyday… I have a PC and a couple of Macbook Pro's (Intel and M1). Battery is completely shot. I’ve had laptop for over a week and it has completely been unusable. As soon as I unplug it from 100% charge it dies within 10-15 minutes of SIMPLE use. By simple I mean SIMPLY being just powered on w/ no apps running. Checked “battery health” on laptop and it reads “normal” — but this is false. The battery is shot. I would appreciate a PARTIAL REFUND or NEW BATTERY to be send ASAP as I have a live performance I need to use the laptop for. 2300$ to buy a laptop that doesn’t hold a charge for more than 10minutes?! I haven’t been able to use or enjoy it once it’s caused immense amounts of stress and now I am insanely unprepared for a very important event I was to perform. ANSWER YOUR TELEPHONE PLEASE! Thank you

The 2011 Apple MacBook Pro with a 2.2 GHz quad-core Intel i7 processor was a powerful and reliable machine when it was first released. It featured a 15.4-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels, as well as 4GB of DDR3 RAM, which could be upgraded to 16GB if needed. The graphics were handled by an AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB of dedicated memory. One of the standout features of this MacBook Pro was its high-speed Thunderbolt port, which allowed for lightning-fast data transfer speeds and the ability to connect to a wide range of peripherals. The laptop also came with a backlit keyboard, making it easier to use in low light conditions, and a large trackpad that supported multi-touch gestures. While it may be starting to show its age at this point, it was a solid machine in its day and should still be capable of handling most basic computing needs.

I'm a photographer returning to work on a budget was in great need of a new MacBook since my last one had a damaged screen. When I received this MacBook everything checked out okay. It came in great condition and operated fine. However, after a few days, it shut off on me without warning and kept giving me the signal of it needing to charge. I thought it was because the night before I accidentally left it on charge, which is something I try not to do. I tried two old charger cords that I had, as well as troubleshooting it as directed online, but it didn't work. When I contacted the seller they told me to try the same stuff that I saw online to troubleshoot. I also took it to a computer tech and he told me I would need a new MacBook. I tried two old charger cords that I had, as well as troubleshooting it as directed online, but it didn't work. When I contacted the seller they told me to try the same stuff that I saw online to troubleshoot. I also took it to a computer tech and he told me I would need a new MacBook. I tried again taking it to another computer tech and all it needed was a new charger cord and adapter. this cost me $130. Since then I've been having more issues with it. 1. It has to be kept on charge to stay on. 2. It sometimes shuts off on its own while on charge. 3. The USB ports doesn't operate as it should. God forbids my laptop shuts off because the charger was accidentally disconnected or just shuts off on its own, I would have to keep trying the other ports for them to work or restart the computer and wait about 15 minutes for them to kick in. 4. A few days ago, out of nowhere, the laptop or USB port had a glitch and completely formatted my SD Card with 2 recent photoshoots on it before I got the chance to transfer them over. Thank heavens I was able to get the photos back. I had to pay close to $90 to download a software that would allow me to access and restore the deleted photos. I did contact the seller during the refund period, however, I live in Turks Caicos where anything we order would not be delivered to our doors. We would have to have it sent to a friend's address and have them bring it over whenever they can or have it sent to a company's US address and then pay additional duties and freight on the items. Returning items are not easy and can be very costly. So, to return this MacBook get the refund, I would have to go through one of the shipping company's and pay to have it sent over then order a new one which takes time away from me getting work done and more than likely turn away clients. The seller did ask how much it would cost to have it sent over, but after considering the time frame I may be without a laptop and getting work done, I just stuck it out and trying to get the most out of what I paid for.

was a little skeptic of the keyboard since I also use a retina macbook 12. Now after using the new 15 macbook pro for a few weeks, every time I go back to the flat keyboard of the rMB12, it feels awkward. The keyboard on the new macbook pros are definitely superior to those found on earlier retina macbooks. Other than the good keyboard both the performance, screen quality and the battery longevity are the strong points for Apple's flagship laptop. I am getting around 8-9 hours on 40-50% sreen brightness. I have learned the hard way that the screen brightness is the ultimate battery killer, since I simply can not run the CPU more than 10% (even if I run multiple browser tabs and browsers, mail app and watch videos at the same time - although no rendering or cpu ... Morewas a little skeptic of the keyboard since I also use a retina macbook 12. I have learned the hard way that the screen brightness is the ultimate battery killer, since I simply can not run the CPU more than 10% (even if I run multiple browser tabs and browsers, mail app and watch videos at the same time - although no rendering or cpu demanding tasks, watching video on browser or video conferencing were quite hard on the rMB12), if I run the screen with 90-100% brightness I get around 4-5 hours runtime. Since 50% is more than enough for a satisfactory screen experience, I will give this macbook 5 stars for Apple's engineering requirements of making the laptop lighter by putting a ~75% smaller battery than the older rMBP15, and the other 5 stars goes to intel's energy efficient but powerful 7th gen quad core cpu. To sum it up 2017 MBP15 is the way to go if do not have very strict backpack/carry on choices that pushes you towards MBP13. I am happy with both of my choices and will be upgrading when the time comes both MB12 as an always with me and MBP15 as the ultimate workhorse all round laptop. Both worth the money and highly recommended.

This is a beautiful laptop with very reliable build quality. It's battery life is enough for general purpose computing throughout the day. The fan is silent and inactive most of the time. The system speed is very fast and can be upgraded to newer versions of macosx. The aluminum chasis, thin profile, and lightweight make it VERY convenient to carry around and travel. Windows 7, 8, 10 can be installed via boot camp. It's keyboard is back-lit, and it's on board memory and drive can be upgraded for more capacity to future proof the system. It is very reliable and doesn't lag. Menus respond instantly. Wifi and Bluetooth have Amazing range, and can reach wireless access points regular laptops can't. There's a magnetic charging cable, so if you accidentally tugged on the wire it won't pull the laptop off the table. There's a variety of input ports such as USB, dvi, thunderbolt, etc. The microphone grill is cleverly hidden and you won't even know it has a microphone. The webcam has acceptable image quality, and frame rates are smooth. If you install windows, you have the best of both worlds with a dual booting macosx and windows device.mav

I got this laptop at a pretty good price point. Everything looks very sleek, the feel is good for the price and its graphics card is good. However, I noticed that on start-up, there is significant stuttering, even when apps set to automatically launch (like Discord and Steam) should not take up the entire performance of the computer. What put the laptop in the coffin for me though is its moderately poor to bad internet connection. It is laggier and less reliable than my old computer which connected to the exact same internet, and at my apartment in university it won't even connect to the router, whereas every other device can. This issue is so detrimental that I actually have to return it. Overall, I am pretty disappointed that there are such significant issues with ... MoreI got this laptop at a pretty good price point.
