In the past, I've generally steered clear of the Apple Magic Keyboards due to the price, and the usability of the keyboard over a standalone Bluetooth keyboard, such as the Apple Bluetooth keyboard I owned, but not this time. This new keyboard is a work of art, with its solid aluminium keyboard top and well thought out iPad mount. The larger mousepad and the inclusion of the extra function keys has transformed the usability to one that almost matches any Apple laptop... it's not yet a replacement for a laptop but it's close. I am truly happy I bought this this time around and can highly recommend this if you have bought the 11" iPad Pro M4... I am writing this review on it right now!

Having invested in an iPad Air a mere two years ago I was aghast at my own rashness in swapping it for this new iPad Pro. Was it worth the expense? However, it's proved to have been an excellent decision after all. For speed, features and stunning screen appearance it puts everything remotely comparable firmly into the shade. The iPad itself is thin and light to handle, though with the addition of the magic keyboard it does become a much heavier object, in effect a mini-laptop. The Apple Pencil Pro is a useful addition not only for the naturally creative but it does enable one to minimise those finger marks on the screen. In sum, highly recommended!

This always the 1st thing to buy after ordering a new iPad. I use this on my 11" iPad PRO, 1 TB with Nano-Texture glass. So no matter where I use my iPad, indoors on the sofa, or on a sunny day looking at a trail map during a hike, I'm always well-prepared.The new iPad PRO is much thinner than my 2nd Gen, so when paired with the Magic Keyboard, it is thinner as well. The track pad feels smoother that previous. The hand rests, since they are aluminum, are always cool to the touch when typing, hence comfortable, at least for myself. It is thinner, so it fits in my work bag, man bag, and backpack easier. It feels lighter as well. It also provides protection. If you buy one, after purchasing your new iPad PRO, you likely won't regret it. The new row of function keys ... Knocking a star off for the ridiculously high price tag on this. Otherwise, it’s completely amazing. Navigates like butter and has a really pleasant way of being attracted to a likely click point like a magnet making it easy to point and click. I’ve used it quite a bit with Logic Pro for iPad and I really love it. The keyboard transforms the m4 iPad Pro into something more like a computer. It’s so good, I wanted it to run macOS, but as of now it still cannot. Yet, the iPad Pro 11” and Magic Keyboard are an attractive alternative for creative minded people. The pickup and use factor is much greater for me on the iPad which is what it is all about. I’ve done lots of recording already and I am going to make a lot of music with this setup, and it is very powerful. I ... MoreKnocking a star off for the ridiculously high price tag on this. The pickup and use factor is much greater for me on the iPad which is what it is all about. I’ve done lots of recording already and I am going to make a lot of music with this setup, and it is very powerful. I pick it up all the time where the laptop collects a lot more dust. The Magic Keyboard makes the experience so much better than touch screen alone for me. Buttery smooth navigation and the keys feel great. I have big hands and I can still make it work. It balances very well I think. You can use it in your lap unlike a standard surface pro. One minus is that I feel fixed to landscape view and feel like I would need to purchase an extra case to ditch the keys if I wanted to draw in portrait mode for example.
I bought the keyboard with high hopes of liking it and it some ways I did. Apple added a row of function keys which is great. I ended up returning it for the following reasons. I saw some YouTube videos where the keyboard scratched the screen. I guess you could put a screen protector on but I never have and wasn’t going to. The hinged is shorter than the last model which makes it hard to attach the charging cable but that’s not a real big deal. The hing being shorter lends the keyboard to be less stable. When touching the iPad when on the keyboard the iPad falls backwards. I wanted the keyboard but I don’t really need it for what I do but would have kept it if not for these drawbacks, it very expensive not to be totally happy. I will look at some other options.
I have had this thing for 15 minutes and already love it. So I thought I would use it to write a review. I use my iPad a lot for personal use. Typing on it has always been cumbersome. The keyboard is very functional and you can use various keys to switch between apps and use other functions on the iPad. Total fan. Also a shoutout to open box by Best Buy. I went the open box and saved a decent amount and the keyboard I got looks / works just like new. Keep up the great work Best Buy.
I recently upgraded from a second gen 13-inch iPad Pro to the 11-inch M4 iPad Pro, and this meant updating all my accessories. I previously had the Magic Keyboard for my iPad and although I liked the way it worked, I didn't like how easy it was to show signs of dirt and wear, both inside and out (I actually had to purchase a second Magic Keyboard mid-life because the first one tore at the seam. With the new one I find a MASSIVE departure from those experiences. Firstly, I went what would've been considered in the opposite direction for a person that loves to have their tech impeccable and chose a white case. After reading reviews and watching multiple YouTube videos, almost everyone mentioned that white cases stood up much better to daily wear and tear. With nearly 2 months of having the case, it's perfectly white and doesn't show a single fingerprint on the outside.Inside is where it shines. This actually feels like a MacBook, with keys that are more responsive and an actual aluminum body that surrounds the keys and the trackpad. When opening it you feel the heft (yet not so stiff as the previous gen) and when closing it looks like a metallic book since the edge of the iPad lays perfectly flush. And another plus is that the keyboard has its passthrough USB C charging port on the right, while the iPad has it's charging port on the left, which means you can always charge it conveniently regardless where your power plug is sitting.I did purchase an open-box model in Excellent condition to save a few $$$, so this offset a bit of the steep price tag for the keyboard, but definitely worth it.

The trackpad is highly responsive, supporting all the multi-touch gestures I’ve come to love on my MacBook, making multitasking a breeze. The keyboard shortcuts enhance productivity, allowing me to navigate the iPadOS with ease. One minor gripe is the weight; it does add some heft to the iPad, making it less portable than I’d like for casual use. However, the trade-off is worth it for the enhanced functionality and laptop-like experience.Overall, the new Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro M4 is an exceptional accessory. It turns the iPad into a versatile workhorse, perfect for both professional tasks and leisure activities. It’s a bit of an investment, but for anyone serious about maximizing their iPad Pro’s potential, it’s well worth the price.
