I've had this iMac for nearly a month now after being a die-hard PC fan. It took some getting used to, but I am learning the ropes. Out of the box this only has 8GB of RAM, so I got a pair of 16GB and the improvement is noticeable; not extraordinarily fast, but definitely faster. I love this was so easy to do via the little compartment on the back of the monitor. The display is very nice and the colors are brilliant and everything looks beautiful. I also added an external 2TB SSD and the extra storage will come in handy for storing bigger files, but my system storage at this point isn't anywhere near filled to capacity. This isn't a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have a version of some of the same apps I have on my iPad or iPhone. I do love that my usernames and passwords are carried over from all my devices, so that is a nice convenience. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and I can't wait to dig into some audio and video authoring to really see what this can do. I know this is already 2 year old technology, but Mac's have always been known for these applications.

I fixed one and am adjusting to the other. Scroll movement is in reverse. But there is a setting for that. Or even an app. Lol. The 2nd is the side of the top of the window that you close or resize it, is on the left, not right upper corner. I am slowly learning to deal with that. But if that’s my only complaint, I’m well ahead of the game. Great great product! Take the leap!

I bought two of these iMacs to replace our aging models. Having a much larger screen and a larger hard drive proved to be a great improvement, while overall performance has been outstanding. Another improvement is the rechargeable cordless mouse, which can be plugged into the iMac when not in use. The only downside was the smaller keyboard enclosed with them. Normally that wouldn't be much of an issue, but I was in the midst of creating an index for a book and the page up and page down buttons were missing from the smaller keyboard, though I didn't need the redundancy of having number keys to the right and didn't miss them. I hope Apple restores the missing button on future keyboards.

Excellent experience!
9 June 2022

I made several phone calls to MacSales.com regarding the computer and its 2TB hard drive before making the purchase online. My computer is essentially brand new with all the power I will need in my work. It was delivered ahead of schedule. This is my second computer purchase from MacSales.com, but I have purchased a variety of other products like memory, keyboards, mice, and hard drives over the years. Only one purchase (a dock) was a disappointment as that product failed just out of warranty. MacSales have great products and usually very reasonable prices compared to buying direct from Apple. I recommend anyone interested in Apple products check out MacSales first.

Non-Upgradable internal HD for the 27" iMac

Open box “excellent - certified”
2 January 2023

This is what Best Buy considers to be “excellent - certified” condition. I’d hate to see what qualifies as fair. There was no styrofoam or bubble wrap. The key board and mouse were just thrown in there and the cords were still plugged into the monitor. It was definitely not repackaged and free of physical flaws as Best Buy claims…”Products in this condition look brand new — with no physical flaws, scratches or scuffs…In addition, the product was professionally cleaned, then repackaged with care to give you a product as near to new as possible” …lol. I can say the return was easy and I got a $100 store credit to use towards a new iMac.

The best office computer I've bought

Decided to purchase a iMac for the office and since I've been such a big fan of the Apple Ecosystem and the experience I have when I do my day to day office job. Internet surfing feels so fast and the text is so super clear to read. The keyboard is very nice. It is a little on the smaller size but that really isn't too much of an issue with me. I did opt to get the Magic Trackpad instead of using the included Magic Mouse. I'm very used to using the MacBook Pro when it comes to MacOS gestures and features. The computer weighs very light and I love that it is an all in one computer so I don't have to worry about where to place a computer tower. However I do worry about when it comes down to cleaning the computer on the inside as I know dust will accumulate over time. I don't intend to play games on this computer as I have other computers to handle that for me. But I feel that it could handle some low to mid level of gaming if needed. I would recommend looking into getting some extra RAM as it is not that very expensive and would help with multi-tasking. I believe the on-board RAM is fine but I feel like it could be better at least 16GB. One thing I can nit-pick is the fact that the storage is kind of low. The worse thing is that I can't upgrade the storage myself without breaking warranties. Really feel like Apple should allow an end-user to upgrade the storage size easily. Overall I feel this Mac is a great investment when it comes to having a computer for several years and I foresee myself enjoy using it for my work and other projects and would highly recommend it to someone.

Well thought out wonderful choice!
24 March 2023

I love the screen size! I definitely weighed my options among this computer and the newer ones. I’m a gamer so the graphics and other things was very important to me. The sound is quite loud, I can hear my music all the way to the kitchen. Picking it up was very quick and easy. The only downside is sometimes whenever I’m watching a TV show, the graphics aren’t as clear as I’d like. But other than that, it’s a great computer! It’s my very first desktop computer & my very first iMac. I highly recommend buying this computer.
