As someone who weeps buckets when peeling onions, this little gadget is invaluable. Also, it makes the onion into nice little uniform squares, which pleases me. You can do all sorts of vegetables with this cutter, but they mustn't be softish - crisp, and the job is easy.

Absolutely fantastic gadget. Have had one for many years and it finally broke. Replaced it with a Baccarat Alligator but found it did not chop small enough so I searched the Web until I found the original and purchased it on line. Have used it every week since receiving. Wonderful machine.
I am very pleased with the alligator chopper I received in the post, yesterday. I find this product excellent in the way it cuts the vegetables. I left my original alligator at holiday resort in north Queensland. I was wondering if you have the blades that are arranged with a 10 cm square? Chops up salad food real fast. It’s a shame it doesn’t have the attachment with the bigger cutting like I saw on YouTube. But it’s a good addition to kitchen equipment and easy to clean as well.
Wonderful product - the pieces were perfectly sized and it took my a quarter of the time that dicing with a knife would have taken. Onions and celery chop so quickly and easily and with carrots, I have found that it's easier to chop them into rounds and then dicing is simple using the collector but it still takes a bit of a push. Love it!
Hi, Ive had an Alligator chopper for about 9 months. However it seems to be blunt now and won't chop. I thought it would stay sharp much longer. I'm disappointed in the product. Can the blade part be replaced?
I replaced our old alligator vegetable chopper after 15 years when the old one became blunted through much use. The new one is just as great and essential for chopping vegetables but has the added advantage of a collecting box to reduce the risk of tears when chopping masses of onions.
