This bowl has been a total lifesaver here, in just a night! My kitten was obsessed with digging in any kind of water bowl, making a huge mess and leaving the poor dog with an empty bowl. Any effort to stop him failed, including fountains. This bowl, combined with a silicone feeding mat have stopped him completely, he now sniffs, puts his paw out to try, and runs off. Win, win, no mess, and the dog has fresh water!!

I had procrastinated over this item for a long time. So glad I finally bought this bowl. My young pup uses the sides of bowls to lap up the water spilling so much water around which is so frustrating. There has been so more water spilt since this bowl. She quickly worked out to drink from the middle. So happy with my purchase!

Although my lab doesn't play with his water, it ends up everywhere, so does all the mess in jowls. My princess foxie wouldn't drink from the same 'grotty' bowl as him, even though I changed the water a few times a day. This bowl has eliminated both problems. Might get the occasional drip form labs jowls - but rarely ever & nothing like the puddles left each time he drank from the regular bowl.. the floating plate also prevents 98% of things getting into the bowl.Totally happy but would love a slightly larger version as my lab drinks a lot.

We brought this bowl as my puppy likes to paddle as he drinks and we end up with water all over the floor. Day one it worked great and both of our dogs took to it straight away. Day two puppy had worked out how to get the retaining part off and loved the game of running round the house with it. Next game for him was trying to get the float out so we still have water all over the floor. If used correctly I'm sure it works well but didn't work for us.
What a great idea this bowl is. My 2 dogs made mess all the time with drinking water until we saw this bowl online and decided to give it a try (anything to stop mopping up water from the floor all the time!). It's a big success! Even my cat drinks from it. Took a little coaxing one dog to use it but we persisted and couldn't be happier.
My dachshund will take a huge drink of water and leave half the water all around the bowl, so this had significantly improved that. However, the water gets trapped inside the floating 'lid' on top. It's quite difficult to open it up and clean out, you have to use a butter knife to pry it open and I noticed it collects a lot of grime and possibly mould. Also the grey bracket that goes on top broke soon after purchase. Great idea but needs some work. I have since opted for a ceramic bowl and just deal with the drool.
The bowl was delivered quickly and as advertised which was great. I set it down and within 1 hour my dog had fiured out how to take the top grey lip off. He also very quickly found out that it is fun to push down on the floating piece and dig the water out, spraying all over the floor. If you are trying to stop your dog from tipping the water bowl or playing in his water bowl, this isn't the answer
Love Love Love This Water Bowl!No more Water Drips or Spills all over the floor leaving a trail down the hallway & 3 rooms. No more paws diving into the water bowl to play with the water & have fun. Also hoping this new bowl will keep the vermin out of her water source & stop contamination from mice. Luna was poisoned from mice eating/drinking out of her bowls last winter.Keeps water cleaner with water covered saving on how often water needs to be changed. Her 1st bowl lasted over 1 week! And there was only 1 piece of detritus in it, a flaxseed which came off of Luna's mow a while eating & then taking a drink, not even a single dog hair in the water or a piece of dirt!I rate this bowl 5? out of 5 ?!And recommended it to all animal owners.
Been using ours for almost a year now. We renovated our kitchen and took up lino to expose our nice wooden floors and we're worried our dogs would ruin the new floor. Our sloppy dribblers used to leave a mess with normal water bowls that we discovered seeped through the lino and stained the timber. This bowl leaves no drips on our timber floor, occasionally maybe one drop now and again but its not even worth mentioning. Putting on a tray would solve this. Very happy! It serves our two Jacks well we refill every other day. Highly recommend.
After years of having our golden spread her water all across the house, we decided it was finally time to look for a bowl that would help reduce the puddles. This bowl has worked amazingly, we no longer have to mop up after her, and all our dogs and cat figured out how to use it very easily. I would love if they made a bigger size (we have four pets inside) but the size is still good, and it's easy to refill. If you have a messy drinker, I would absolutely recommend this bowl!
