I loved it. The earbuds have an amazing sound, which really matters to me. You can create folders for your music. It's easy to use. My only criticism is that this mp3 player plays the songs according to how you downloaded them on it. Meaning: Normally I number my songs so that I can hear them in a specific order (not ABC order). My older mp3 player, which I love dearly but doesn't work quite well anymore, would play them by number, by default. If I added a song later, I just entered a number that would place it right after a specific song on my playlist, and that was it. This mp3 player doesn't do that. It plays the songs by date-it-was-added-onto-the-mp3 player by default. And that was a big disappointment for me.

This Mp3 player is the best! I had one of this brand before, and it lasted over 2 and a half years. I put hundreds of songs on it, the player picked up right where I left off, and the battery lasted forever. Just keep the back of it out of direct sunlight because it will peel. I was so glad to see that this company still sold this player. Would recommend to anyone. The only reason I gave dislike to the headphones is because I cannot wear earbuds, but if you spend a little more for headphones, they work just as well.

Cons:If you change the playback speed of music at all, the sound becomes muddled. It's unusable. I like speeding up my music a bit. It's one of the reasons I decided to get this. The Vol button requires you to hold the button down to change the volume. Just clicking it brings up the song list. I don't know about you, but I just shuffle the entire collection and only ever need to change the volume as needed.I wish it had a clip.Pros:It's small and light and I have no issue reading the screen. It will show the album art if you have it embedded in the file.It is easy to load it up and play all your stuff. It defaults to 'all songs' and the repeat and shuffle functions are remembered between shut downs.I'm knocking 2 stars for the two cons listed above.

Great change from Sansa Clip Plus
3 March 2017

I purchased this AGPtek to replace a Sansa Clip Plus that I purchased brand new only a year ago. The Sansa Clip Plus was okay... UNTIL.... the battery apparently went bad (and the batteries in these mp3 players cannot be conventionally replaced). One year - DONE. That is completely unacceptable as far as I am concerned. So I shopped around for a new mp3 player and become acquainted with the AGPtek players. It seemed regardless of the style or year of manufacturing, the AGPtek mp3 players consistently received very good reviews overall. And the prices certainly seemed more than fair. I noticed that this particular mp3 player only had one review thus far, which was also a 5-star review. It seemed regardless of the style or year of manufacturing, the AGPtek mp3 players consistently received very good reviews overall. And the prices certainly seemed more than fair. I noticed that this particular mp3 player only had one review thus far, which was also a 5-star review. However, based on all the great reviews for the other AGPtek players, I decided to purchase this player. It has all the same features as the other AGPtek players. Plus, it is expandable with the addition of a 64GB micro SD card. That's enough memory for "4,000 titles", which is the limit of this player. The volume of this player is very good (and I work in a fairly loud industrial environment and operate a fairly loud machine). I listen to my mp3 music or the FM radio for 8 to 10 hours every day at work... no problem. I use Sony headphones rather than the tiny "ear buds" that come with the unit. It helps to shut out "most" of the surrounding noise so all I basically hear is the music. These units DO NOT have a clip on the back, which is one of two negatives. But, the player is light and small enough to put in your pocket. My wife made a small carrier pouch for my player. It's the real fancy kind with a Velcro flap and scientifically-tested belt loop. The other negative is the confusing user's manual. The manufacturer could at least hire someone who speaks and writes fluent English to create the American instructions. The good thing is that this is an intuitive-type player, meaning it's easy enough to figure out basic operations just by pressing some buttons and exploring a bit. Just remember, the "left" arrow key is the "Back" button. It's worth noting that you will still want to read the instructions (as best you can) because there's quite a few things that this little player is capable of doing. Only time will tell as far as the battery life and length of a single charge is concerned. I'll try to update as I learn the outcomes.ONE MORE THING EVERYBODY NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT AGPtek PLAYERS:Quite a few AGPtek reviewers expressed that they were having trouble keeping their songs/files in a specific order and that their uploaded files were listed according to the artist, album, or alphabetized file titles on the player. This will probably be true if you store your files utilizing the player memory. That memory is formatted a certain way. HOWEVER, if you use a new 64GB micro SD card, you can use your computer to arrange your folders and files in any order you like as long as you use the following numerical system:Number the first song/file "101", the second song/file "102", and so on.(Example: 101 Gold Dust Woman, 102 Light My Fire, etc.)If your file "properties" contains the artist name, album title, or other vital info, that will be listed on the player when that file plays. The numbers 0-100 cannot be used as they will repeat themselves within the 101-1000 perimeter (Ex: 1, 10, 100, 1000). If you use the numbers 1-100, the first four songs in your playlist will be those shown in the example (should you have 1000 songs). Either way, using 101-1000 is foul-proof - neither you nor the mp3 player can mess up the order of your files when uploaded because it will upload them and list them in numerical order rather than alphabetical order. And here's how I arrange my folders and files for uploading to the player:"Main folder" - "Sub-folder" - "files".(Example: "MP3" - "Classic Rock" - "song files".All my classic rock songs are in the classic rock folder, which can be found within my MP3 folder. Once I have all my songs classified into the correct sub-folders, then all I have to do is upload the MP3 folder to the "Removable Disk" folder of the AGPtek player - PRESTO... done.Hint: To upload all your folders and songs at once, Be certain that the micro SD card is installed in your player and your player needs to be plugged into the computer via USB. Then simply drag and drop your main folder into the "Removable Disk" folder of the AGPtek. As long as you use the numerical system for your songs/files, everything will upload in exact order. And the cool option is that you can play them in your uploaded order OR you can use the "Shuffle" feature of the player to randomly select and play your files, which is a really nice change-of-pace feature.I highly recommend this product and this seller.

Nifty little MP3 player. Great deal for the money. My eight gig holds about 1000 tunes. I’m a professional musician, and use it for music during my breaks. Had a glitch once, easy return. Bought another on. I’m happy as a clam!

Impressive little item!

Ever so small and really light-weight, I didn't expect much but it's been used every day, for about a week now, playing for an average of 12 hours each day and I have to say, it's been running with-out a glitch. Connected to a computer speaker ("sound bar", as they call them these days), the sound is clear and clean. And at it's tiny size, it "hides" perfectly on a little shelf on my work table.I connected it to my Dell, Windows 10, with the included USB, and was able to transfer MP3 files in mere minutes. "Plug And Play" and done. The "instruction" manual is a bit confusing and vague for some of the functions, but from opening the packaging to up and running and playing, including the transfer of music, it was done with-in about 10 minutes. I’m satisfied!
6 May 2019

I was in need of a cheap MP3 player for long drives and late night writing that could hold my wide love of music. This music player is easy to use, handy, has long battery, and without my micro sd card, I’m able to store about 800 songs. I probably could fit in another 100 if I wanted to. The audio quality is decent, loud. I love everything about it. I’m happy I bought it. Definitely a nice find with the pricing. It shipped fast, came packaged rather nicely, and came fully charged. Only complaint is the earbuds it comes with are very cheap and uncomfortable for my tiny ears but that doesn’t really effect my review unless you really care about that when buying something like this.

11 September 2019

Worked great through 2 recharges. Now, will not charge at all.Loved it while it worked. Loaded over 200 songs, still plenty of room for more. Wish it had kept working. Sound was REALLY GOOD, having tone controls was great. Headset included sounded very good. Used at night to relax me and help me sleep.Note: No holes to attach lanyard to use around neck. Must let dangle or stuff in shirt pocket!Even with paid protection plan, not worth the effort involved to get it replaced.
