My dog has been using Advantix tick and flea treatment for nearly 14 years. In that time she has had about 4 ticks which were all dead and has never had one flea. I wouldn't use anything else.

My adult beagle has yummy ears for flies, who leave him with bleeding wounds and latter scabs. Advantix was effective in putting a stop to this. So I've now switched from Bravecto to Advantix.Also read this research paper which found Advantix was much more effective (read the conclusions part) in treating brown dog tick than both Nexgard and Bravecto.Only downside is has to be applied bi-weekly in order to keep parasite ticks under control. Which makes a 3-month supply of Advantix roughly double the cost of Bravecto spot on for the same period. But then, it does solve the flies, and is much more effective in brown ticks.Also, dog sizing convention on their packaging is one size down. Beagles are usually classified as medium dogs at vets etc, but for Advantix

I have a KelpieX & we take her in bushland at least 3 times each week. She rarely, if ever, gets ticks on her (we're not always so lucky). She never has fleas. We've followed this routine for years so I'm pretty happy that Advantix does the job it is designed for.
This is the second bed that we have bought for our elderly dog. It is nice and sturdy, which means it lasts quite awhile in the outside elements. Being hessian its not the most comfortable but gives him a nice spot to sit when were all on the patio together.
I took my corgi for a walk in the woods…literally 100+ ticks removed after applying K9 Advatix. The vet tested her & no Lymes disease. They said the best thing I did was apply the topical K9 Advantix right away.

Having previously used this products with success, I purchased a six month supply of this to recently treat my two dogs over a three month period. The product was used to the instructions on packaging. The entire 6 month supply for two dogs lasted 6 weeks, each application would last approximately 7-10 days. Extremely disappointed in this product and will never recommend or use again.
Sometimes I have dogs in the outdoor kennels and if they get fleas, I use the product. It is fast acting and no serious side effect,s great for 1 time dose
Even though it cost me a lot of money at least with the Tick collar I can relax and know my dog is protected against paralysis ticks. with Advantix. Missed one season and my Shah ending with tick treatment at the Vets...never again.
